Hello! My name is AJ and I'm looking for some people to roleplay with. As the title says, I'm looking for some fun fairy-tale-esque plots. I've been loading up on my Disney movies as of late and have the need for some angst-ridden, fun and cute romances! Most of the plots I'm going to list have some sort of class divide (such as a royal and a commoner) because that is one of my favorite tropes especially when it comes to these types of plots. Now before I start listing off the ideas I have let me tell you a bit about me as a roleplayer (both the good and bad!) and what I expect - it's a pretty long list but it's very important to me that you read it!
So let me know if you're interested at all!
1. I am a very literate RP-er. I love to write lengthy posts and am more likely to be more engaged in such plots where the partner does the same (although that is not a requirement!).
2. I write about as much as I'm given to work with. If you write a paragraph, so will I. If you write two pages, I'll match that.
3. I can post at least once a day or every other day.
4. I am currently only looking to play a female of a MxF roleplay or a male of a MxM roleplay. Romance is practically a must for me but I like to build up to it!
5. My plots are incredibly flexible! We can adjust them accordingly and add or take away parts of the plot. They're purposely vague so it can give both of us room to get creative.
6. I like to discuss the plot and characters beforehand! It helps me create a good well-rounded character to fit the roleplay and makes my writing better when I have a general idea of where our characters may end up.
7. I like to communicate with my partner during the roleplay. We don't have to talk about anything personal or real life, we can keep it strictly roleplay based, but I find that communication between my partner is vital to keep an RP going!
8. This might be a deal breaker for some of you, but sometimes I do disappear/can be inconsistent with my replies. I don't mean to do it and I don't do it to be a jerk, but unfortunately, my real life comes first to my roleplaying and I am currently a full-time student with a full time job so things can get hectic quite suddenly and unexpectedly. I do reply at least once a day and have had roleplays that have lasted several years before so it's not like this is something that constantly happens. If something does happen, I usually notify my partner and you have the option to either put the RP on hold until things get less hectic or we can drop it- I promise I won't be offended if you choose to drop it at any time!
1. Sometimes roleplayers are incompatible with each other. Sometimes we may have clashing ideas or different styles or are expecting different things from the roleplay and if I think that we won't work out as partners, then I will ask to drop the roleplay usually before it even begins. Once again, I don't do this to be a jerk! I just feel bad starting a roleplay that I'm not completely invested in and believe it's better to resolve any issues before we put all of this effort into the roleplay.
2. Please be kind to me, senpai! In all seriousness though, having a roleplay partner is about respect. I wouldn't go through with anything that makes my partner uncomfortable, and I would hope you do the same for me.
3. Check in when you can! Sometimes notifications fuck up and you don't realize that someone replied because you weren't notified of it. I've had entire roleplays just drop because of some silly error like that and I don't hassle people if they don't reply..
4. Personally, I prefer not to be hassled with questions as to when I'm going to reply - I find it very rude when I'm taking time out of my day to work hard on this story and weave these tales with someone and yet every other hour I'm getting a message because the rate at which I write is not to their liking. Hassling like that makes the roleplay less enjoyable for both parties involved and benefits no one. I am more likely to ask to drop a roleplay if this becomes too much of a problem.
5. I will not RP anywhere outside of threads or PM.
6. These roleplays are a balance between romance and plot/adventure. If you're not okay with that, don't ask to roleplay with me.
7. Pay attention to what I note in this thread please! Listen, if you want to do a MxF and I already mentioned that I'm only playing female characters of a MxF couple in this thread , then I'm going to assume that you want to play the male. I think I state my intentions with each roleplay pretty clearly and it's very important to me that you read these rules and about me, even if it is boring, it prevents any misunderstandings later on, so please show me that courtesy. .
NOW if you're still here then I'm glad! Here are the roleplays I have! Some of these are similar to each other or some ideas can be combined, just let me know! If you have any ideas of your own feel free to share - I would love to hear them and in fact, encourage you to share them! If there's a ** at the end of a plot, it means that I have a huge preference towards that plot. Anything in bold is what I would like to be.
1. Prince x Knight - My character was a street rat who joined the royal army as soon as she came of age. Over the years she climbed the ranks until she became the personal knight of the crown prince of the kingdom. She takes her duties as his guard very seriously, so what happens when the once peaceful kingdom starts becoming unstable. With war on the horizon, assassination attempts, battles, and other dangers, her role as his knight might just be more important than ever. **
2. Prince/Knight x Knight - The roleplay begins during a great battle between rival kingdoms. Our characters are on the same side of a losing battle, and during the climax of the battle, our troops are outnumbered and are forced to retreat. One of our characters (does not matter which one) is captured by the enemy and thinks the other was killed during the battle. The character not captured is determined to save the other from the enemy and turn the tides of the war in our favor.
3. Prince/Knight x Witch - In this kingdom, magic is believed to have been extinct, disappeared over the years as the King's ancestors wiped out every creature and magical-user he could. But what happens when magic starts returning to the land, his people's children are beginning to spontaneously be born with magic, and creatures long thought to have gone extinct begin attacking the king's troops? The king sends his son and/or Knight Commander to find the source of the magic and destroy it once and for all. On this journey he meets my character, a Witch of the Wilds who joins him on his journey (perhaps she saves his life ), as the journey goes forward, the two grow closer, but with my character holding such a dark secret from him and your character sent to destroy all of those like her, what will they do?
4. Prince x Mercenary - During a royal ball, the King and his family are slaughtered by an usurper, the Prince of said kingdom manages to escape (although barely) and at a tavern where he is hiding, he meets my character, a rude and crude (and drunk) mercenary who recognizes him immediately. He promises her great reward if she were to help him get to the neighboring kingdom where he can get an army from his allies and take back his rightful place from the usurper. **
5. Time traveler - A bit different from the other RPs, my character is a reclusive museum curator who is working on restoring an old painting from (insert time period/historical period/or even fictional kingdom that doesn't really exist anywhere outside this RP here). During her work late one night, something happens and one of the people from the very painting she is working on is released from the painting! How can she can get him back in and why is he here?
OR we can do it so my character get sucked into the painting and into his time period.
6. The king becomes ill one day from a plague that is ravaging the kingdom. In desperation, the prince seeks out a legendary witch who is rumored to be incredibly powerful in order to heal his father. Finally, he finds the woman he is looking for and they journey back in haste. She is a bitter, mean, and rude person but perhaps not as evil as the stories would portray her to be. But she warns him, that the magic she is to do will come at a great cost, what exactly is that cost?
7. Prince x Blacksmith My character is rumored to be the best blacksmith in the land despite the fact that she is a woman. One day, while selling her wares in the marketplace, she runs into your character without realizing who he is. Their first meeting... well, let's just say it did not end on the best of terms, however both characters put the unpleasant experience behind and go about their days. Until one day, the Royal Guard of the kingdom - a small group of knights from all the land - find themselves in need of a smith that can make weapons and armors worthy enough for them to use in battle, competition and conquest. Your character issues out a challenge to the kingdom, in order to find the next blacksmith to serve the royal family and its Guard. Despite their unsavory first meeting, my character's work speaks for itself and well.. Things just go from there. **
8. Fairy Tale Character x Librarian - My character is a librarian in a library that has been around for hundreds of years. Their collection features old tales and fables, some of them being first edition directly from the hand of legendary writers! Most of their patrons are students, scholars, and locals and are very familiar faces to her. That is, until one day, a new regular begins showing up whom she doesn't recognize - however there's something oddly familiar about him, but she can't quite place it. Then, one night while she is organizing the books, she begins flipping through one of her favorite tales and is surprised to find that there is a character missing from its pages and illustrations! Except she knows that person, how could she not when she's been seeing his face in the library every day for who knows how long?
9. The once great kingdom had a powerful king - he was fierce and forceful and united the kingdom through conquest and war leading them into a Golden Age of trade, influence, and prosperity. Things stayed that way for many years until one day, a sorceress showed up in his court. She claimed that the King's success arose from the oppression and lives of those he rules over and conquered - that as prosperous as the kingdom seemed, it was only through which his greed that it prospered while its common people were still starved and forgotten. He persecuted her people and shunned them for what they are. As a result, she put a curse on the king and his kingdom. Plague struck, drought dried the crops and water supplies, riots began in the conquered territories as people began to despise their ruler, nobles grew greedy and began fighting for more power and influence and the kingdom fell into a state of unrest and instability - just a shell of the glory it once held. A generation later (or several depending), the current king sends his son out to find a powerful witch who could lift the curse, but will she be willing to help a descendant of the very king who destroyed her people? Well, of course she will. For the right price. Cue an epic journey to gather the materials and ingredients needed to lift the curse that fell on the kingdom.
So let me know if you're interested at all!
