Kori shook water out of her ear before replying, "Couldn't really see him, or her for that matter, but they were on the first train from Magnolia, left side, 3rd car.... Maybe 4th window? Had a weird looking gun too, not like any I've seen... Looked sorta like, this." She said before using ice make magic to recreate the odd rifle she had seen. "I dunno if you could tell maybe Doranboldt, see if he can track whoever it was down." She suggested. "An amazing memory..." Fang murmured.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

Kantu's jaw dropped in amazement. "I remembered that too." He said.

 

[Stormblooded]

Kori looked at Kantu doubtfully. "Sure you did. As I recall you were too busy wasting my magic energy to try to race the train." She huffed.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

"Well you know what... Fuck you." He said. A sharp smack sounded through the house as Kantu landed on the ground. "That'll teach you for your foul mouth." Said Juvia as she rubbed her hands together. "Now, Kori... Take your brother and find out who did this while I go find your father." She said.

Kori sighed. "Yeah sure, go looking for the person who tried to kill us. Whatever you say." She muttered. She pulled Kantu off the ground and said "serves you right. I guess we can start at the train station. See if we get any leads." She said looking at nothing in the distance.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

Kantu frowned and crossed his arms as his cheek began to swell. "Fwouwnd anyfing yet?" He asked.

 

[Stormblooded]

Kori sighed and glared at Kantu. "That's not how investigating works numbskull. We gotta ask around, look for leads.... Let's start with the ticket seller." She growled.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

Kantu followed Kori. "Dwnt ecshpect me two help you." He said.

Kori stomped on Kantu's foot. "You WILL help because whoever it was was trying to KILL the both of us." she growled, leaning towards the kid and looking him in the eye.

Kantu screamed and fell to the ground grabbing his foot. "Ahh... MY FOOT... DAMN IT MY FOOT." he screamed. "I THINK ITS BROKEN!" Kantu began breathing heavily... He was in a lot of pain the foot she stomped on was the same he had hurt earlier. He fought back tears. "HELP ME GOD DAMN IT."

 

[Stormblooded]

Kori felt bad and lowered herself onto her knees. "I'm gonna look at it ok? Don't freak out." She gently grabbed his foot and inspected it. She did her best not to make a face as she examined the foot, which was obviously hurt, possibly just dislocated. "Fang, take him back home. I'll follow soon." She said softly to her exceed, who activated Aera. "I got you, Kantu." He said, as he began to lift the boy.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

"Let go of me!" Kantu yelled, but the more he shook the more his foot hurt. The boy screamed as his foot claimed and bent awkwardly after the pain got unbearable his body went limp.

Kori sighed. "Stubborn brat." She muttered before taking Kantu from fang and hoisting him onto her back and starting her way back to the house. "Guess I'll have to come back tomorrow."

Kantu smiled evily. "OOO... Your gonna get it when I tell mom and dad on you." Kantu said. "Dont worry though, I''ll personally over see your funeral prepeartion. What type of flowers would you like? Tulips or Roses." The boy said with a chuckle.

Kori shifted her weight so that Kantu's head dangled above the ground. "Mom and dad will know that you injured it the other day. They will also know that you injured it further today because you overworked it. Am. I. Clear?" She said in a flat, threatening voice.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

"No you are not." He said. "I have no intention of listening to you, your the one who hurt me in the first place... Your the worst big sister ever." Kantu threw himself off of her back. "I'll find my own way home.". He said turning sideways and rolling down the sidewalk.

 

[Stormblooded]

"Lucky for you I'm not even your sister!" Kori shouted before turning in the other direction. "Good fucking luck getting yourself home!" She said storming off.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

Kantu rolled down a hill and hit s rock at the end causing him to fly up into the air and straight into the ocean. Kantu hit his head on a rock at the bottom and passed out.

As Kori thundered off, Fang hovered close to her. "Don't you think that was a little.... uh, much?" Kori's eyes blazed. " I don't care if it was much, its true. They aren't my family, my family left me." She said angrily.

(Ell that escalated quickly Wow... It's been like 5 or 6 months. Anyways, time skip to when Lori makes it back to the guild a day later)


Kantu woke up with a gasp as he took in all the air he could. Above him stood to masked figures. Kantu remembered what had happened and began to freak out... He began to scream but one masked figure with the voice of a man covered his mouth. "It's okay... Calm down. You washed ashore and we brought you to this facility. We took care of your injuries but you need to rest okay? Kantu nodded and lay back down as the two excited.

Kori sat in the guild hall, still angry about the day before. Fang sat on her shoulder, as if nothing had happened. Suddenly, Kori slammed her hands on the table and stood up, almost knocking Fang down. "That's it Fang, we're taking a job." She said as she stalked over to the job board.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

Grey and Juvia had just returned from a job when Juvia yelled, "KORI MY CHILD!' She ran towards Kori and strangled her with a hug. Grey walked up behind them and ruffled Kori's hair. "So kiddo, where's your brother? I brought you guys something."

 

[Stormblooded]

Kori's eyes narrowed in confusion as she broke free of Juvia's grasp. "Kantu... Was he not at the house? I didn't sleep there yesterday... I figured he would've gone straight back there after..." She muttered, starting to become worried.

 

[Loke Fullbuster]

"No... We just dropped are stuff off there..." Grey thought for a bit. "Wait... Are you telling us he didn't come back with you? Kori you guys were a team. You stick together. Listen, I don't wanna know what happened, we can talk about that later, but now I need you to take us to where you last saw him." Grey said. "Everything alright?" Erza asked as she walked up. Grey was about to say something when juvia chimed in. "Everything is fine." She said. "Now if you will excuse us, we must be going. Get your stuff Kori and take us there." She said walking outside, Grey in tow.

 

[Stormblooded]

Kori sighed. "Well, er, we kinda got into an argument and both went our ways to cool off..." She said, not making eye contact with either of her parents. "Er, last I saw him... Residential Magnolia.... Near the river." She said before taking off in the direction of where the fight went down. "Fang, fly up and look around for him!" Kori called. "Rodger!" The exceed replied before activating Aera and hovering above the group.
