Fairy Tail: Fate of FioreArc 1: Pirates and Pergrande
In Lakinoe, Fiore…“Crap,” a woman proclaimed as she saw more ships coming on the heels of the first one. Judith Leyser was familiar with the routine when it came to the pirate raids of Lakinoe. Ships landed. They fended them off. Sometimes they managed to steal some livestock or some funds. Sometimes a single house caught fire. It was repairable.

This was different, though. With her own pirate saber at her side, Judith had a feeling deep in the core of her bones that this one was different. The ship was familiar and it brought back nightmares. That was just the start of the feeling, though. As she worked towards mobilizing what forces she had at her fingertips to deal with the incoming attack, a cannon ball landed at her left and she threw herself to the ground opposite it right before the explosion had her ears ringing with the echoes of no sound at all. This was different. They weren’t preparing for a raid. They were preparing for an invasion and Judith knew that they were goners without help from Fiore’s strongest, Fiore’s finest and the only ones who could fight the magic of Captain Aeron Vulg.

Although she couldn’t hear anything, she knew that she needed to call for help and there was one easy way at her fingertips for that to happen. Reaching to her belt, Judith’s fingertips latched onto a golden key and she slipped it off of it’s hook at her hip. “Open! Gate of the maiden: Virgo!” Judith couldn’t hear her own words in her ears, all sound absorbed and turned into an incessant ringing that she couldn’t control, but she did know what she was saying and the magic circle that opened in a manner appearing as though the key unlocked it confirmed that. A puff of smoke took hold and then, as that faded, a single being was standing in front of the mage charged with Lakinoe’s safety.

“Mistress,” Virgo greeted simply, seemingly aware that Judith couldn’t actually hear her.

Inhaling, a cough escaped Judith’s lungs, but she wasn’t bothered by it. Instead, she addressed her spirit as some of her hearing started to come back to her. “Virgo, I need you to get messages to the four major guilds. We’re going to need help here. Send word to the king as well. If he can mobilize the military before mages are able to help, then so be it.”

“Yes, Ma’am.” Spinning, the spirit burrowed her way underground so she could get away from the action to accomplish that very task. Judith watched her go and then darted in another direction. They needed to evacuate as many people as they could in the meantime.

In Magnolia…Coming out of her little office after filing away some of her paperwork for the day, Astrid was absolutely delighted to see that the Fairy Tail guild hall was as lively as it ever was. Some days lately had been quiet because many of their mages had been busy with missions and it was thanks to that that they’d just completed a record number of jobs for their guild. Fairy Tail was rising to new heights every day and it only gave her more reasons to smile in the process of it all.

“Attention all of Fairy Tail!” Astrid called out loudly, her voice echoing on all the walls of the building they all called home. “We’ve just hit an accomplishment that no Fairy Tail collection of mages has ever met before. This past month, we completed a record number of missions, helped more in Magnolia than we ever have before, and we are continuing on to set an even higher record this month. I know we all have work to keep doing, but tonight, we’re going to celebrate!” Celebrations were awesome times. Of course, the guild hall could be a party all its own from time to time, but even that was nothing compared to a guildmaster sponsored time to throw all cares aside and just have fun.

Those working at the bar threw their fists in the air, holding up the official guild hand sign before they started getting all the alcohol that would be needed in order for such an occasion. After all, Fairy Tail only deserved the best. Then again, they thought that because they were members themselves.

Satisfied that they would be able to celebrate together, Astrid made her way down to the main floor and took a quick glance at the mission board as it was currently. Nothing too significant was currently posted. There were some jobs requiring assistance with cooking and a couple jobs looking for mages to help with some cleaning tasks, but that was really it for the moment. It was a good thing, though. It meant they had taken care of all the more significant requests. The S-Class board would obviously have a few more interesting things on it, but that wasn’t something Astrid expected would ever change. For now, she could be content in the success of her guild.

Where are all my buddies? The youngest mage in Lamia Scale was making her way through the guild hall with a skip in her step and a curious expression. The guild hall itself appeared mostly empty to her eyes, but she wasn’t very good at finding people lurking around corners so there was always the possibility that someone might be jumping out to surprise her at any moment. There wasn’t a mage in the guild that Libby would’ve been unhappy to see in that moment because all the guild members were her buddies.

Unfortunately, they were all usually out doing missions that weren’t necessarily the safest for her to join them on because she still couldn’t really control her own magic enough to really be helpful with much. She was working on it, but progress was slow if it happened at all.

“I wonder if Aedon will be back at all today,” she mused more to herself than to anyone around her as she wandered over to the mission board so she could see who was out doing what. Of course, even if she looked there, she knew Aedon might not have taken one of those. After all, he had access to another board that she couldn’t see because it was too dangerous. Looking at the board, she quickly saw that Light was in fact out on a mission. It didn’t readily give her information on where anyone else might be, though, and the young girl sighed a bit.

Hanging around the guild hall by herself could be so boring.

Maybe Patty was around? Or Leya? Libby set out on a hunt through the halls, determined to find someone.

Let’s Train, Sabertooth!Every once in a while, Jasmine Vekron - guildmaster of Sabertooth - decided that it would be wise to take a day and work on training with all of the members of her guild so that they knew how to work together well enough and so that she kept herself aware of the capabilities of all the members of her guild. It seemed like a strategic thing to do, but it was actually quite difficult to plan because she never knew when she was going to get a day where each and every member of the guild was round for it. She didn’t like leaving people out because then there could be issues where one person didn’t know how to function with the rest of the guild and that wouldn’t be fun to deal with in a crisis situation. However, now that the day was starting, Jasmine knew that today would work.

“Sabertooth!” she called out in the guild hall. “It’s training day! Everyone gather up and meet in the courtyard in an hour.” Her voice didn’t leave much room for objection as she walked out there to wait for everyone to follow along. Would she seriously wait in the courtyard while everyone took their hour to prepare? Absolutely. Jasmine was the type of person to put her mind to something and then do it immediately without concern for how much time it would take.

Sitting at one of the tables was Lowell Thrice and he very obviously rolled his eyes when their guildmaster decided it would be a training day. “Do we have to?” he sighed.

“Yes, Lowell.”

Though he’d been hoping for a laid back day, Lowell didn’t verbally object further. Instead he got up and went to get another drink. Maybe sparring with the guild would go better with some alcohol on board. Then again, he’d done that before and the results were questionable. Maybe this time things would be more conclusive.

At the moment, your characters do not know what is happening in Lakinoe. A request will be coming in probably in my next post that will alert them. Please don’t metagame this.

If your character, for some reason or another, is not in the guild hall where they were tagged, please include a location in your first post so that everyone can know where the characters are. This will be very helpful long term.

Guildless mages can be wherever you guys want to put them. I do not recommend starting in Lakinoe unless you want to become a prisoner of the pirates.

Mages in Blue Pegasus, Mermaid Heel, Raven Tail and Quatro Cerberus should start either out on an unrelated mission or in their guild halls or traveling back to the guild hall after a mission. Have a little fun with your introduction stuff as you will.

Ask in the OOC if you have questions.

Gurren & Skylar Simon

It had been a long day of stringing together unrelated jobs. First there was babysitting a pair of young and rambunctious twins, then slimes making a nuisance of themselves in the forest; one of them exploded on Skylar, gooing up her clothes and making a quick detour back to the guild hall to bathe and put on fresh clothes. After all that, the stoves broke down at a local restaurant. Gurren used his flames to cook the food until the repairs were done, leaving Skylar to stutter through serving food to customers. Neither of the jobs really needed a Fire Dragon Slayer around (except maybe the restaurant; how else would they be able to advertise food cooked with dragon fire?), but she was glad that he had been there.

Currently the duo were still together. Skylar was so exhausted that she couldn't make it up to their room. She settled into the closest booth and slumped against her father's side; her face pressing against his muscular arm. He felt warm, like a soothing fire was burning within him. Her exhausted state helped her tune out the noise as she tried to sleep.

Gurren smiled warmly at his adopted daughter and started to relax his muscles, leaning back into the cushions of the booth. He contemplated carrying Skylar to her bed, but then the guildmaster started to talk and caught his attention.

Fearing that she'd miss something important, Skylar slowly opened her eyes and sat up.

"W...we broke a record?" she asked, speaking softly so that only Gurren and those closest to the booth could hear. Their hard work had payed off.

Feeding off the energy in the room, she started to seem less tired, but noticeably tensed up as guild activity started to pick up again. Fairy Tail was a rambunctious guild. She's used to that fact now, but she still worried about being accidentally trampled on.

"Do you feel up to partying or would you rather relax in your room?" Gurren asked.

Skylar pressed her pointer finger-tips together as she thought it over. "P...party."

She stayed seated as Gurren walked over to the bar and brought back a pint of beer and a glass of apple juice for Skylar.

Gurren remained standing as he heartily picked up his beer. "If I may, I'd like to start a toast," he announced. "Together we've accomplished something amazing and we're not going to stop anytime soon. Show me that Fairy Tail passion!" Fire burned in his eyes. "Cheers!"

"Ch...cheers," Skylar sheepishly added, raising her glass of juice after Gurren held up his pint. She was too self-conscious to go all out like her papa had, but she tried.

Crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch. Poly's solid black sandals swiftly pounded against the rocky terrain. Short breaths fled from his mouth in an almost rhythmic manner. He was just returning from a simple cleaning quest. Familiar townspeople shouted out to Poly and greeted him as he ran by and he waved as he moved along. "Hey old man! Hi Mrs. Gutters!! See ya later Cindy!" As he neared the guild he took notice of how beautiful it was outside. Birds gracefully chirped and sung as they circulated in the endless canvas of blue. The sun radiated a brilliant orange, but with it came heat. Poly could begin to feel moisture form under his jacket. His body was already quite warm and it was beginning to get warmer. "Almost there!" That's when a large tender piece of meat sizzling on a platter caught his attention, almost causing him to trip. He slid to a stop and turned to get a better look at the piece of meat.

tenor.gif

Steam graciously rose from the meat, meaning it was fresh and hot. It was almost as if the meat was teasing Poly itself. It smelled so good and somehow the orange haired boy had ended up closer to it without realizing it. "Oooooooooo!!" He stared at the meat admiringly like a child would a toy. "Well, kid, you want it?" A deep but manly voice arose from behind the meat. Finally Poly took his eyes off the meat and looked up at a rather tall man with fair skin and hair that only appeared on his face. Quite a bit actually. The man's beard was kinda long and was beginning to gray in some areas. Nonetheless it was sleek and well-groomed. He wore a gold hoop earring in each ear and a diamond stud in his nose. The blue v-neck he wore was terribly stained with grease and his cream-colored paints weren't much better. Poly's eyes looked the man down to up, shifted to some aprons he had hanging farther back and then shifted back to the man's emerald eyes. The boy decided not to question why he wasn't wearing an apron although he had one and instead responded to the man's question. "Yes!" "Alright. That'll be 1,000 Jewels." Poly shoved his hand into his Jewel pouch and pulled out roughly 2,000 crunched Jewels. He counted out 1,000 and quickly placed the wrinkled currency on the counter. The man frowned, groaned, and finally took the money. "It's all yours kiddo." Without wasting another second, Poly snatched the meat up and inhaled through his nose to get a good smell of it. "Mmmmmm!!! It smells so good! Thank you!" He resumed his dash to Fairy Tail after thanking the grease-stained meat-smelling man.

As Poly arrived at his guild he could already hear his guildmates from outside, loud as ever. But he could tell they were a bit louder than usual and thought something was going on so he rushed inside. He came to see members of Fairy Tail drinking and celebrating but he didn't know what for. "Woah! What's going on?" He looked around at all the fun that was being had. "Oh Poly, you're back! We achieved some unachieved achievement and the whole guild's celebrating!"

"Yahooooo!!!" Poly shouted with a cheerful jump. He enthusiastically thrusted his newly bought meat into the air before taking a big bite out of it. His eyes immediately lit up with sparkles. "It's so good!!!!" He continued munching down on the meat as he randomly ran around the guild and cheered.

Lamia Scale's Master of Mischief
Patricia C. O'Shae

and Pumpkin
Patricia C. O'Shae.jpg

WUMP, came the sound of something underneath Lamia Scale's bar when Libby mumbled something about Aedon. This was followed by the voice of Lamia Scale's own Master of Mischief, Patty as she called out, "Owie. D-did somebody say Aedon's here?"

Managing to pop up from under the bar, the diminutive guild master massage her head and gazed toward the door, half expecting to see a silhouette of the famous S-Class mage of her very own guild. A small look of disappointment came over her when she realized that wasn't the case, and that the guildhall seemed to be rather empty. Recently they'd lost a large number of guild members for various reasons. A left to join friends in another guild, some that had been undecided about the guild life left for a more standard career, there had also been a small group within the guild operating independently as a dark guild on the side that had been found out. Add to that a larger than normal number of members in the hospital or on vacation, and the guildhall was left quite bare. This emptiness clearly bothered Patty. However, when she noticed Libby, that all went away and a big smile stretched across her face, "Oh, Libby! Did ya need somethin'? Maybe we should find somethin' fun to do today since there doesn't seem to be many people around, huh?" Patty floated out from behind the bar on her pot of gold named Pumpkin, placing a few coins she'd found on the mound she sat on.

The Ace of Lamia Scale
Aedon Strom
Aedon Strom 2.jpeg

The streets began to whisper as a large shadow passed through the markets in Margaret. The imposing silhouette announced the arrival of a famed S-Class mage, the Ace of Lamia Scale. He was an influential, yet somewhat controversial figure from the guild. Then again, the guild as a whole was controversial in itself. The famed mage's appearance brought a hush and humbled the city, as one never knew why he was there. After all, this particular S-Class mage spent most of his time away on high-level missions and rarely showed his face in the actual town. So to the people about, they could only help but wonder. On the one hand, his arrival sometimes signified trouble at the guild, and if there was trouble at the guild, there was trouble in Margaret Town. On the other hand, it was possible that this was one of those rare occasions where he just came for a break and to visit. Although even then there always seemed to be some sort of trouble following along behind him. On the other hand, his presence did tend to bring a harsh drop in the crime rate as well. So at the end of the day, people could only hope that his time here would be uneventful.

Aedon hoped the same. He was returning because he had heard a few whispers of gossip about the guild losing a lot of members, so he felt it was time to drop by and pay his old friend Patty a visit. It also wouldn't hurt if his appearance would reignite the flame of ambition in someone who then might come and join the guild. Appearing in the doorway of the guild hall, he put on a smile and said, "Hey there, Libster. How're things goin' Spanky?"

Patty's face went from being overjoyed to a cute little angry glare in the matter of a second. She had forgotten how much she hated her favorite S-Class mage. He called her Spanky, and she didn't like it. "It's about time you showed up!"

The doors to the office of the Blue Pegasus Guild Master flung open with a bang and out came the overlord himself, Julius Prescott. After throwing ping flower petals out, he held his arms out to the world. Holding a feathered fan in one hand, he declared to his guild "Ah, what a beautiful day to be alive! The Raven
Maki Obertuck

"YEAAAAH!" came the call of the Raven as she caught swell. Her glider rose slightly before she leaned to the left and swirled around a dense bubble of air and closed her glider wings to plummet toward a street below. She stared down the street through her goggles to feel the right moment, then she listened to the wind. She held her breath as the shops below came into view. At just the right moment, when she saw the whites of someone's eyes, she angled flat and threw the wings of her glider open, putting her hands behind the fabric to keep it from ripping while she held on by wrapping her legs around the spine of the glider. Then, as the glider came to almost to a floating stop, she shrugged her shoulders and a jet blast of air forced its way through the market street, sending little unsecured merchandise flying all over the place as she shot through the alleyway, curving with the street. She looked back for a moment to yell out, "Sorry!" but she was likely too far away to be heard already. She settled down and glided through the streets until she found another air swell and used it to carry her up above the rooftops. Then she located her guild and set her direction.

Gliding down to the front doors of the Raven Tail guild hall, she glided straight down onto her feet, landing gracefully before ripping off her goggles and heading inside. "Man that was fun. Air had a lot of character today. We may or may not have a few complaints, but what's new. People need to loosen up."

Parties weren't something Rayleigh was usually particularly fond of, but she found herself not having much else to do. Rayleigh sat by herself at the bar, simply watching from afar as people all celebrated. There wasn't anything near her but a glass of red wine, halfway full from the occasional sips she gave it. Nearby those working the bar kept going into getting things ready.

Astrid had announced that they had broken a record of missions completed that none had completed before. Rayleigh had thought about the amount of missions she had done recently and didn't quite think she had done that much more than usual, so perhaps everyone else in Fairy Tail had simply been busier this past month. Most of her jobs she had been doing were simply dealing with problematic wizards and other jobs that would require a S rank wizard, she preferred to rid the world of evil so she never took jobs that didn't involve anything but defeating the corrupt.

She didn't really celebrate much, much less did she ever interact with most of her guild. As she saw it, she simply was involved to make money and have a place to live in. Sitting alone was typical of her and people usually didn't try bothering her, many learning since she had arrived at Fairy Tail that Rayleigh wasn't someone that really liked to be pestered too much.

Things were starting to get louder, and when Gurren had decided to have a toast and everyone cheered Rayleigh began to think that perhaps she would take a breathe of air outside. It wasn't the she simply disliked being around others, it was simply difficult to conceal her own gender, deal with her own crusades and she didn't really feel all that close with anyone.

The masked woman disguised as a man simply stood up and began to head towards the entrance of the guild. It was better to let everyone have their celebrations anyways.

Leya Navelli
Lamia Scale Guild Hall

The past couple of days had been nothing short of boring for Leya. Sure, a couple of tasks had to be done around town and she had earned a small amount doing small quests for the guild to help around the city - but nothing she could actually practice her magic on. A puffy sigh left her lips, moving a strand of brown hair away from her face. She sat down on the wooden floor and stretched her hands up with a big yawn. The guild had been quiet for a while now, so Leya would do her exercises whenever she had the opportunity and energy to do so. She knew it would help in the long-run, but she also couldn't help but wonder how these practices would actually work in a real battle. Perfecting them in her own time and in a safe environment was one thing, but using her skills for good in an actual scenario was entirely different. Or so she would think. Right?

She lifted a finger to her chin and thought for a second. "I wonder if Libby and Patty is around today?" she asked herself. Well, she wouldn't find out by sitting here by herself all day.

Leya sprung to her feet and brushed her hair out of her face. If they were around, they would likely be in the Guild Hall - or nearby. She quickly slipped into comfortable, black boots and left her chambers with a skip in her steps. Her brown hair flowed gently behind her as she skipped her way towards the guild hall. It didn't take long before she heard voices. Well, as a Dragon Slayer she had a more sensitive hearing, but that was definitely Libby and Patty's voices. Just as she was about to skip around the corner and greet them in her usual joyful fashion, she heard the door open close to her and Aedon's voice caught her off-guard.

Being the clumsy being she was, she stumbled on her own feet mid-skip and landed face-first onto the Guild Hall-floors with a weak "Owww.." leaving her body. She slowly pushed herself onto all four and looked up at her guild mates with a guilty and embarrassed expression. With a sheepish smile, she looked from one of them to the other and gave a weak wave.

"Hiii, Patty.. Libby.." she paused for a second before looking over at Aedon. "Welcome back, Aedon, it's nice to see you again."

Seth Quinton
Second Floor Sabertooth Guild Hall

"Come on, COME ON!" Seth kept saying to himself as he was trying to attempt crafting something out of clay, "Aghhhhh, It's not good enough....It needs more.....Pizzazz? YEAH Pizzazz!" The object in question was a tiny replica of the guild hall up on the second floor looking over the main hall, the less populated the area the more he could focus.
“Sabertooth! It’s training day! Everyone gather up and meet in the courtyard in an hour.” Seth could hear the guild master yell as he turned his attention too downstairs, "Oh boy fighting time!" He chuckled to himself and looked over at his creation which he poured to much magic into as he stopped paying attention, "WAIT HOLD O-" His sentence would stop abruptly as the ignition threw him over the railing and into a table down on the first floor, right next to Lowell. Groaning as he tried to get off the floor he opened his eyes and noticed one of his guildmates, "OH, hey Lowell...Nice day for a fall ain't it?" He laughed for a minute before sighing, "I need help getting up..."

"You better say your prayers you stupid thief! Wait! Stop running!" Amillia wasn't having a good time, she had been chasing a group of thieves all day and every time they saw her the immediate response was to run scared as fast as they could. Well... Most people would if they saw a woman in a suit of armor running full speed at them, but Amillia didn't have the time to be sneaky. She had allot of things to do today for her guildmates and she didn't want to let any of them down. "Reequip-Phantom!" A blinding flash of light would appear covering Amillia and once the light was gone so was she. The thief looking back at the pink-haired woman trying to chase him down stopped and sighed a breath of release thinking she was gone..... Big mistake on his part as moments later She jumped out of a shadow of a building and clotheslined him onto the floor, knocking the thief unconscious. Switching back to her main Armor, Amillia would tie up the thief and drag him to the closest magic council building so they could deal with him.

In a poorly lit ally two hooded figures were conducting business. One figure towered over as the other as they dug through a chest. "40 grams of dried grounded Sivana root, One vial of Tux Cobra venom, and one bag of Rakshasa Flower seeds. That comes to a total of 20,000 jewels." A small pale hand slid from a dark cloak demanding payment. The taller figure dropped a stack of bills into the waiting hand. It was snatched up and the other figure began counting. "This is sum heavy shit you've bought man, ya got enough poison to bring down two elephants." The smaller figure glanced up at the taller. "But it aint any business of mine what ya do with it. Gox removed the hood as he exited the ally. Certain no one was looking he walked through the streets as if he didn't just buy a bunch of Illegal substances. As he walked he mentally went over his to do list for today. 'Okay, I've got the poison. Processing this stuff should take a few hours so I should be done at about 1pm.' He walked toward the more seedy section of Oshibana. He walked into an abandoned home and sat at a table with chemistry set on it. He pulled out the ingredients and got to work one thought echoed through his head. 'I wonder what I should get for lunch? Mmmm I've been craving something spicy all morning....'

Koutetsu still enjoying what's left of her cocoa in the comfort of her table. Before noticing another noise coming from the second floor. Then seeing Seth fall over the railing. Guessing that he was messing with another one of his creations or something along those lines. Wanting to make sure that everything was okay, she decided to look over to where he fell without moving from her seat. After hearing him ask Lowell for help she knew he was alright. But she decided to ask anyway. "I'm not sure if you count that as a failure or success for you Seth. But as long as you not dead it's fine." Thinking back on her training with her magic. Bringing that up she still has to do more training and try to find a teacher for her primary magic. With that in mind, she's going to try a little bit harder during this training. finishes her drink and starts to prepare to go outside for the training.

"Alright, Master Vekron I hope you brought your best for this training." With that, she finishes her drink and prepares to head to the courtyard.

Lowell Thrice: Sabertooth Guild HallLowell had just finished setting his drink on the table and taken his seat when Jasmine disappeared from the guild hall into the training yard where she would await her students who had two options: show up for training or face consequences. That was how Sabertooth was run. It was a strict ship and normally Lowell didn’t mind that because it kept things from getting too out of hand or crazy. He was the type of person who would’ve never been able to maintain his own sanity in a guild like Fairy Tail because the destruction and wasteful uses of magic would’ve sent him running long before he was able to get tattooed. Sabertooth was better for him in that regard because of how Jasmine maintained things.

Every once in a while, though, there was something that rustled his feathers - or, rather, his scales - about being a member of a magical guild. Seth had a habit of doing just that and when he heard a resounding explosion from the second floor and saw the S-Class mage crash onto the table in front of him, Lowell didn’t imagine he would be enjoying himself much on this particular day. Lowell quickly reacted, pulling his pint off the table, but not before it could splash up into the air and spill a small amount of beer onto the table in front of him.

“I honestly don’t think any day is a good day for a fall, Seth. I was thinking it was a good day for a drink, but you seem determined to spill my booze.” He shouldn’t have had it in the first place, but letting him drink wasn’t one of the things Jasmine deemed appropriate to intervene with. Sighing, the blonde boy downed the rest of his drink before further chaos could cause the rest of it to spill. “I think if you can blow yourself up, you can stand yourself up off the floor, Seth.”

Standing himself up from the table, Lowell brought his drink back to the bar and set it down so that one of the bar staff could clean it and put it away. He wouldn’t be needing it again until after training was done, if he was able to move. Lowell was never sure what to expect out of Jasmine’s training regimes. Sometimes they were manageable and sometimes they were ridiculous. However, he did notice that Koutetsu was up and moving as well, having also remarked on Seth’s crash landing. “He’s probably survived so many explosions that it would be rather unfortunate for one to kill him now,” Lowell commented. “Fate wouldn’t be that cruel.” He grabbed his katana from off the bench he’d been sitting on and strapped it back onto his hip before following Koutetsu out to their training ground.

Libby Tuck: Lamia Scale Guild HallGiven her lack of battle experience and lack of life experience in general, young Elizabeth Tuck startled quite easily. That much was known. What wasn’t known, though, was the fact that the Lamia Scale guildmaster liked to hide underneath the bar for some rather elusive reasoning. Therefore, Libby’s reactions were as follows.

First, she jumped because the sound was quite sudden and came out of the blue. Second, she hesitantly looked around the corner of the bar as though half expecting to find something scary like a ghost or a zombie. There had never been such creatures in the guild hall before, but it certainly would be an adventure if she found one. Thirdly, Libby chuckled quite brightly when she realized it was just Patty. “Aedon’s not here, no,” she agreed with a sad tone to her voice. “Why do people have to go out on missions all the time? It means they have so much less time for fun.” A pout decorated her face although she smiled when Patty offered to do something fun with her. Patty was very good at fun things more often than not.

However, before they could get to the point of making fun plans for the rest of the day, Libby’s head turned and her long brown hair whipped against her neck at the sound of a familiar mage’s voice. “AEDON!” Libby proclaimed quite loudly before charging at the S-Class Lamia Scale mage with arms wide open. Unfortunately, luck was not on Libby’s side on this particular day because at the exact moment that she would’ve crashed into him and wrapped her arms around him in a massive bear hug, her body decided that it wanted to become intangible instead. Such was the curse of her magical ability. Therefore, instead of crashing in a bear hug, Libby proceeded to sail straight through the mage and land face first on the floor with a resounding THUMP!

The thump occurred right in time with that of yet another person crashing onto the floor in the Lamia Scale guildhall and as Libby weakly pushed herself back onto her feet, she rubbed her head. This wasn’t an unusual occurrence for her, but she looked to the other who had fallen quite quickly. “Leya! You’re not supposed to be falling too! You don’t have disobedient magic like I do.” She didn’t seem mad at Leya in the slightest. Rather, she was using a rather teasing tone. Well, it was as teasing as a twelve year old could be.

It took her a moment to process what she had been excited about, but once Libby recalled that Aedon was present, she sprung back to her feet as though nothing had ever gone wrong in the first place and then Libby started searching through the many mysterious pockets of his trenchcoat for any new treasures he might have on him this time around. “Did you find magic treasure this time?” She asked after she was already searching his person with her own eyes.

Astrid Ceral: Fairy Tail Guild HallThe shieldmaiden of Fairy Tail was more than delighted to walk amongst her guildmates once the celebration had truly started in style that could only be achieved by them. After all, they were the number one guild in all of Fiore. Astrid got a pint of ale for herself and hoisted her glass into the air at Gurren’s toast. “Cheers!” her voice rang with all the rest of the guild in pure delight. These were her people. This was her family.

Walking past Gurren and Skylar she nodded at both of them and nudged Skylar’s shoulder gently. “Remember, enthusiasm! It’ll fuel your confidence and make you that much stronger,” Astrid commented with an encouraging tone. “And then soon enough, you’ll be surpassing this old dragon here,” she teasingly gestured to Gurren.

Though she didn’t remain with them for long, she would’ve heard any witty replies Gurren offered to that one.

She saw Poly join in on the fun. Surely he’d finished another mission and she could get a report from him on how that went as soon as things settled down after all the smart ones had left the guild hall for the night and after all the drunks had passed out on the tables.

For now, though, Astrid’s eyes narrowed in on one of her guildmates who seemed to be walking away from the party. Now, Astrid was someone who knew and understood that parties weren’t for everyone. Some people just weren’t suited to them. However, she also felt like it was her responsibility as guildmaster to make sure that everyone in her guild knew that they were part of the family. A look of determination sparkled in Astrid’s eyes as she followed Rayleigh out of the guild hall and called out to her.

“Rayleigh! Hold up!” Astrid yelled once the space around her was quieter.

“I know you’re not a big one for the party scene, but maybe we could arrange a celebration for the morning that’s more your style? You haven’t been around the guild much and I’m sure you’d make friends if you interacted with some of them a bit more. They’re rowdy, sure, but they’re family. Just like you are.”

Skylar and Gurren Simon
Skylar noticed Master Astrid walking over as she took her time drinking her juice. For a moment, she could have sworn they made eye contact. She quickly tuned her field-of-vision toward her glass, getting some of her father's chest and arms in the background. She wasn't trying to be rude, but she always thought better when she wasn't making eye contact with anyone. "What should I say?" She wondered. "Yo, master." That was too cool sounding. "Hi, master."

There really wasn't a perfect thing to say, but Skylar was busy overthinking things when Astrid touched her shoulder. For a brief second she froze, but the hand was so warm and motherly that she started to lean her head into it. "..." She closed her eyes and soaked in the moment for what felt like a few minutes, but was really a couple seconds. "Y..yes, master!" she quickly said, straightening back up.

"Old dragon?" Gurren placed his pint back on the table, most of it had been chugging already, and wiped his chin with an arm. "It's not time to call me 'gramps' just yet. Master." He let out a hardy laugh.

Skylar watched Gurren start to finish off the rest of his beer, then shifted her gaze down to her juice. Papa just oozed enthusiasm. She couldn't remember a time where he didn't seem fired up about something. She had tried to emulate her papa's enthusiasm before, but their personalities were very different.

~
"That's the fun thing about people, everyone is different, but sometimes we get passionate about the same things. I don't want you to be another me; I want you to be you. You're still young and exploring who you are, but when you feel that fire in your belly, you'll know what to do.

"F..fire?"

"When I get a gut feeling, that's what it feels like to me. I've lived long enough to know that if I don't listen to it, then I'm not being true to myself."

"Close your eyes, and listen. You're fire may be small, but there. Do you feel it?"

"I...I think so. M...maybe"

"What is it telling you?"

"I...I want to be a...a wizard. I want to protect p..people...like you did...for me."

~
Skylar took a deep breath. "Enthusiam....enthusiam..."

She glanced over at the other Fairy Tail wizards enjoying the party and spotted Poly running around. Now it was looking like he was coming toward her.

A small fire sparked within her. "W...welcome back, Poly," she smiled shyly and, without realizing it, started to twirl a finger in her hair. "W...what job did you...finish up?"

Poly had long since finished his delightful meat from the grease stained man but he was eating again. He was currently running around the guild like a madman. Fairy Tail was booming. People all around were talking, singing, laughing, etc. Poly got to hang with a couple of people. He danced with one group of guild mates and played a short game with another. As he continued moving about, ahead of him he could see Skylar, Gurren and their beloved guild master who was running off somewhere. He begin to run over to them as Skylar greeted him. "Hey Skylar!" He stopped in front of her with a broad smile, breathing heavily. "I just got back from a cleaning job. Ya miss me?" He giggled and took a bite out of the snack he was holding.

Earlier that day, Anita had an interview on her itinerary. She started to get ready for it well in advance, eventually settling on a green sleeveless-top, a darker green blazer jacket and fedora, a black formal skirt, opaque leggings, and black heels. Using her magic, her raven locks turned red as she left the Blue Pegasus guildhall.

“I’d like to thank my darling fans for supporting me all these years and for being patient with me. I know people love to hear my music, but I find my wizard work to be just as rewarding. It feels good helping people in other ways, instead of just trying to make people smile, but I’m not going to stop doing that either. I have a new album just around the corner, and plans are in the works for a new concert tour. Keep an eye out for future announcements.”

Anita posed for a few photos. A couple were more serious looking, but a majority were more in-line with her playfully flirty red-head persona.

After the interview was over, she shook hands with the Sorcerer Weekly employees. “Thanks for taking the time to do this. You can expect to see the article in the next issue.”

“It was my pleasure, tiger,” Anita replied. She put on her sunglasses and confidently walked back to the guild hall; leaving the reporters to geek out.

Her raven locks returned as she stepped inside. She was planning on going up to her room and changing into something a bit more casual, but then Master Julius walked in and announced a surprise fashion show. How could she refuse?

Shifting her hair back to red, Anita backtracked over to her guildmaster.

“Where would you like us to stand, Master?”

Levanah - Fairy Tail guild hall

A thin smile spread on her lips as the guildmaster's announcement made everyone erupt in cheers. The mages of Fairy Tail sure never missed an occasion to celebrate, whatever the cause might be. She raised her glass to Gurren's toast and took a deep gulp, emptying half the glass in one go. Ah... The sensation of fresh alcohol pouring down her throat was exhilarating as always. The few guild members around her cast her surprised glances, and one even called her out.

"Oi kid, you sure you should be drinking at your age ? You're what, thirteen, fourteen ?"

She downed the rest of the glass and let out a rich, throaty laugh, hiding the amusement behind a slightly slurry smile. Those few were apparently among those who'd never seen her skitter around the guild hall, or not for long enough to understand that she was older than she looked; maybe they didn't even know who she was. She poured herself and emptied another glass, before turning her gaze to the folks around her, rising out of her chair and turning around towards the entrance. There were a few of them who were taken aback by her manners, apparently. If she'd had the envy, she'd have toyed with them until they'd have lost their minds for the day while thinking about her. But right now... Well, staying in their company any longer would probably become unbearable past a few minutes. She needed more interesting company.

"Geez. Start drinking, stop thinking, you idiots. It's a celebration, not an investigation about my ability to hold alcohol."

Imma go out for a smoke, she added mentally.

Skittering through the rambunctious crowd like it was a particularly random dance, she finally arrived in front of the entrance, where a few people were gathered. The guildmaster, impossible to miss; Gurren that old snake, with his cute kid; and Rayleigh, dark and brooding as always. She came in like a whirlwind, greetings and comments sweeping through the little crowd assembled here as she came to lean against the wall.

"Well hello there. What are you all doing standing in the doorway ? There oughta be more comfortable places to have a chat, no ? Gurren, how's life going, you old flaming snake ? Kid's doing well ? Astrid, we gotta have a drink together, it's been so long since the last time. Rayleigh, don't tell me you're buying into the "dark and brooding anti-hero" aesthetic again, you're missing all of the fun. Well, if you don't want to stay inside because of the noise, wanna go in a quiet corner and share a smoke ? You shouldn't stay alone during a moment like that. You and I and everyone else we're Fairy Tail, we're meant to share shit together; if you got something on your mind, you oughta speak it up. Help ain't gonna pop out of nowhere, you know ?"

She ended her tirade with a sigh, taking out a pack of cigarettes and lighting one for herself before presenting it to the others.

"Anyone want a cig ?"

She paused for a second, before briefly eyeing Skylar. She kept her hand around the tip of the burning cigarette, making sure the smoke didn't waft off towards inconvenienceable little ones.

"Sorry, I'm not offering you one, kid. Not good for your health."

Skylar and Gurren Simon

"Ya...a little...," Skylar replied to Poly's question. She was looking at his face but not fully making eye contact. She wasn't sure if her tone of voice was conveying what she wanted to. She thought of him like an older brother; hopefully he'd understand. "S...sounds less hectic than what papa and I went through today..." She was preparing herself to tell the whole story when Levenah interrupted.

"Gurren, how's life going, you old flaming snake? Kid's doing well?"

"I can't complain," Gurren replied with a grin.

"H...hey...Levenah...I'm...fine."

"Anyone want a cig? Sorry, I'm not offering you one, kid. Not good for your health."

Skylar let out a sigh of relief. She didn't want one anyway.

"No thanks. I smoke enough as is," he snorted a small stream of flames and smoke out of his nostrils, before he started to chuckle at his dad joke.

Skylar let out a little snort of laughter before quickly composing herself. Why had she found that funny? Weren't kids supposed to roll their eyes at dad jokes?

Rayleigh wasn't planning on getting stopped. Usually the rest of the guild left her alone. Today however that didn't seem to be the case. Both Astrid and Levanah had stopped Rayleigh on her way out trying to get her involved. Rayleigh could understand the attempt but she still wasn't here to make friends within the guild.
Turning around to the two who had stopped her on her way out, she spoke up disguising her voice as a man.
"I appreciate the thought but I'm good on making friends or having celebrations.." She said.

Ofcourse Levanah came too and offered Rayleigh to share a smoke. Not that Rayleigh really cared for smoking, she didn't have anything against it, but she didn't feel like trying cigs at the moment.
"I think I'll pass. I'm not in the mood right now." She said.

Rayleigh hadn't realized that people thought she brooded. She didn't feel like she did. But she also didn't interact with people. Most often whenever someone tried interacting with Rayleigh she either found some excuse to get away or ignored them until they got bored or left. It wasn't that she was dark. She just avoided people. She didn't have much to say to anyone and preferred delving into her own work during missions.

Leya looked at Libby laying on the floor next to her and let out an entertained laugh, though her face was still a lil red from embarassment. "You're right, Libby. How clumsy of me." she laughed while brushing dust off her clothes and slowly got on her feet again. Shoot, her trousers had ripped at the right knee, showing her pale skin through the fabric. It was not the first time, so Leya just brushed off the rest of the dust and decided to think about that later. It didn't take long before it was all forgotten as Libby proceeded to greet Aedon's return. Entertained by the two of them having a moment, Leya took a step to the side to give them a little space and waved joyously to Patty. "Hello, Patty! How are you today? Are you happy Aedon is back?" she asked with a big smile on her face. It felt nice to have something going on in the guild hall - and hanging out with her guild mates always brightened her day.

With a curious expression, Leya proceeded to glance over at Aedon and Libby while giving Patty a chance to reply to her questions - trying to see if he had brought something interesting back. Leya had not been travelling a lot and certainly had not been able to bring back much treasure from her missions and journeys, so it was always exciting when the higher ranked mages returned from their missions and travels. Listening to their stories and their experiences was always a mesmerizing experience. Leya snapped out of her dreamy thoughts of adventure and offered another warm smile to Patty.

Ariel Locket
Mermaid Heel Guild Hall & City Outskirts

6710f85c04765981cf6207b94a5c9c57.jpg
A hooded figure moved through the outskirts of a city in Fiore. The sun was quite high at this time of day, shining down on the city with long beams. The city-life could be heard, even from this distance. It was a reminder of home. A heavy, stuffed backpack covered Ariel's back. Dressed in her usual attire of black and brown with silver details she moved quietly along the merchant road. Her trusted bow was resting over one of her shoulders. The right arm on her top had been ripped open, revealing a bandaged arm. Her last mission had been a long one. A tracking-mission by a client who had a long history with Mermaid Heel, so naturally Ariel wanted to do a thorough job. Unfortunately, she had let her guard down upon finding her target - and her right arm had been slashed open, making the mission even longer than she had anticipated.

Between all her missions, Ariel would always return to Mermaid Heel whenever she had the opportunity. It was not only to make sure the guild was still standing, but also because she enjoyed spending time with the members - new and old. A break from adventure and putting your life on the line was also a nice feeling. On top of that, she often donated a portion of her own rewards from the mission to the Guild. It was her home after all. Jokes aside, she knew Dominique would be honest if things went awry and bring her back, but checking in every now and then put Ariel's mind at ease. Despite their differences, she got along with Dominique quite well. She enjoyed her guild mate's company.

As Ariel entered the city gates, she pulled down her hood - revealing long, blonde hair that glistened in the bright sun. The familiar streets, smells and sounds brought a smile to Ariel's face - and without her paying much attention to it, she knew her appearance in the city would turn heads. The S-class mage gave a nod to familiar faces as she made her way through the streets and quickly made her way to Mermaid Heel's Guild Hall.

She took a deep breath as she pushed the doors open to the hall, not quite knowing what exactly to expect upon her return. She did not even know if Dominique or any of the other members were around today, but once the doors swung open she spread her arms and yelled from the top of her lungs and filled the room with her voice.

"Honey, I'm hoooome!"

The reception from Libby and Patty drew a cool smile on Aedon's face. No matter how far away he went, this place was his home. Being an energy-make mage, he was used to high-energy situations. Thus he wasn't caught off guard by Libby's charge for a hug. Despite this, when he reached out to return the hug, nothing was there. Aedon was perfectly aware of Libby's struggles with her magic, but something shook him a bit when she went through him. On top of that, an image of Miranda flashed into his head for a moment. However, the flashback was almost instantly cut off when the sound of two bodies hitting the ground resounded. Our of everything that happened, this is what gave Aedon a scare. A concerned glare shot out of the corner of his eye underneath the brim of his fedora as he spun around to face the scene.

"Oh, phew," came his sigh of relief as he saw the scene, "Jeez, gave me a scare there." Although he didn't mention why he had feared there had been a major accident with Libby's power, that she might have gotten stuck somehow; perhaps hurting herself. Thus he was relieved to see that the sound of a second body falling was just that. No one was really hurt. Before he had an opportunity to relax, though, Libby was already back up and rummaging through his trenchcoat to see if he'd brought anything back. "Woah, slow down there, kiddo. Hold up, let me find it. I actually got this recently when I was heading to my last job and ended up in the wrong town. A street vendor was selling these. If you figure it out, there's supposed to be a prize inside." With that, Aedon produced a magic geometric puzzle and held it out toward Libby.

Alyss had made her way to the Raven Tail Guild. Perhaps they would be open to having new members. Alyss had spent plenty of time trash diving and taking odd jobs for strangers so she was starting to think she needed to join a guild at some point or spend the rest of her life basically homeless. Luckily for someone seemed to be standing near the doors of the guild hall seemingly having just landed based on the glider and goggles. Alyss had walked to enter the guild hall following this person before trying to get her attention.

"Excuse me, you wouldn't happen to know if Raven Tail was accepting new recruits would you?" Alyss said.

If she was lucky she wouldn't have to do too much to impress the guild enough to let her stay. Or she would likely go back to spending her life waking up in strange locations. That wasn't really ideal.

"Sounds fantastic," Anita replied, excitedly cupping her hands. Her gaze shifted over to Monoceros. The unicorn certainly was a stunning creature. It wasn't long before ideas started to run through her head; maybe Master Julius would let her use it for one of her local shows. She made a mental note to ask later, right now she was content petting its snout; letting out a mature giggle in her bliss. If only she had a carrot or something to give it.

She stretched out her hair down to the floor and formed it into a couple small steps to help her gracefully get on the unicorn's back. Once she was on, her currently red locks shifted back to her usual hair length.

She sat sideways on Monoceros so that both of her feet dangled down the same side. She crossed her legs in a womanly fashion and made a pose fit for a diva; having one hand almost comb the hair near her ear, while her other hand rested regally on the unicorns back. She let out a happy sigh before smiling confidently. "If only the photographer could see me now. This would definitely be the picture they'd use for my article," She thought.

Taylor - Lamia Scale guild hall

Taylor.jpg
I stifled a yawn as I walked past the guild hall's door. Gods, but last night had been exhausting like few things had ever been before. I was out of willpower, out of magic and hungry like a starving wolf. Thankfully someone had given me water, so I wasn't thirsty, but right now all I wanted was to find somewhere to sit and just slip into slumber. It was at times like those that I was thankful for having a walking stick; if I didn't have it, I'd have collapsed long before reaching a safe place to sleep in.

I heard voices inside, and I blinked wearily. Familiar voices, belonging to familiar faces. Libby and the guildmaster, both as tiny and lively as sprites. Leya, laughing and happy. And... Was that Aedon, skulking about in his trenchcoat ? I smiled sleepily. It was good to see people.

"Ah... Hello everyone... How... are you ?", I tiredly asked, as I went to claim a seat nearby, head lulling already.

Seth Quinton
Second Floor Sabertooth Guild Hall

“I honestly don’t think any day is a good day for a fall, Seth. I was thinking it was a good day for a drink, but you seem determined to spill my booze.” “I think if you can blow yourself up, you can stand yourself up off the floor, Seth.”
Seth sat upwards eyeballing Lowell, "Yes but we're friends right? and friends help other friends when one almost blows up!" He stated chuckling a little bit as he jumped to his feet trying hard not to fall over again. "I'm not sure if you count that as a failure or success for you Seth. But as long as you not dead it's fine."
“He’s probably survived so many explosions that it would be rather unfortunate for one to kill him now,” “Fate wouldn’t be that cruel.”
"Nah." Seth sighed as he brushed the extra wood chips off his clothes, "Death is overrated. I also wasn't trying to make it explode either, still need to get the hang of this new magic." He put his fists together and smiled, "Mom and Pop won't wait forever." To Seth's surprise as he looked up both his teammates were already heading out to the courtyard, "Wait Koutetsu, Lowell, wait up!" he yelled quickly sprinting after them to the outside.

Medusa Ragnbjorg LuitgardIf there was something Medusa did not ever do in life, it was to work for free, and these other mages definitely did not pay for a trip back home. It was going to be a day’s trip, shortest, from here back to their respective guilds. It wasn’t as if they weren’t already used to her appearing and disappearing at her own convenience, so it was only right that she should exit, stage left, with the same trick. Wouldn’t want to disappoint the crowd and all. As soon as her temporary teammates turned to discuss their plans before leaving for home, Medusa waved a hand behind her. A white door materialised behind her. Without a word of goodbye, Medusa turned the pristine brass knob of the door, and stepped through the threshold. With that, she, and the door, vanished, and by the time the other mercenaries had turned to ask her for her opinion, no doubt, there was no trace of her left.

She shut the door behind her, stumbled into her minimalist quarters. This was her room, back in the Luitgard mansion. A large room, its walls white and sterile, undecorated save for the queen-sized white bed in the center, and a workbench that doubled as a desk in one corner of the room, beneath a shelf of topical books. She shuffled over to her bed and threw herself into its soft, duvet embrace. Physically exhausted, she was not, but mentally, she was fraying, badly. Rather than being taxed to think, it was more accurate to say that she was not being taxed enough. She was getting terribly restless, and she had energy to spare. There was little to do, and less to think about. At this point, she was only accepting jobs willy nilly purely to exercise her mental acuity, and yet those were barely enough to take the boredom away. She turned around and stared up at her white ceiling. She groaned, and sat up on her bed. She was losing her touch. She NEEDED to do something. She didn’t know what, but she needed to do it. Just doing menial labour like helping someone’s stupid cat out from a tree, or escorting a bunch of paranoid merchants was beneath her. She wanted some action. Something to put her true skills to work. She felt nauseous just thinking about it. She pulled a strip of bubblegum from her vest, unwrapped it, shoved it into her mouth, and began chewing. Just the motion was enough to calm her down, but it wasn’t enough. She supposed she should just head back to the guild to look for more work.

She pushed herself off her bed, and walked over to an empty wall. She held out her hand, creating yet another door, this time a lacklustre, unimpressive door. Clearing her throat and straightening out her uniform, she pushed open the door, and stepped right out into the Blue Pegasus guild hall. To anyone who, for any reason, had been paying attention to the broom closet hidden in the corner of the hall, it would have looked as if Medusa had simply come out from the dark closet. Shutting the door behind her, she looked about the place, noting the usual revelries that were taking place. She seemed to be just in time, too, for the boss’s newest whimsy.

A...fashion show? She looked down at her uniform. A Lindenburgh custom, fashioned after the maid costume aesthetic, tailor-made for each Luitgard sister to fit their personalities and styles. Comfortable and protective. Not too fashionable when compared with the more flashy population of Blue Pegasus, but it was pragmatic, and fit her general theme-- wait a minute. Her expression soured as she thought about it. What was she doing, thinking about this rubbish anyway? It wasn’t as if she didn’t have all the time in the world for this, but she would rather spend it on something else more productive. She made a noise of exasperation at the sight of that drama diva Anita waltzing back from yet another of her vanity shots, eager to please the guildmaster’s whims. She supposed she should just run by the place again, make sure every nook and cranny was spotless. She slipped away to take up her normal tools of trade. She was prepared for another day of nothing, but at least it was a job.

Leya laughed at Patricia's reply and gave a warm hug in return to the Guild Master of Lamia Scale. Just as she had thought, being with her guild mates made her feel much better than sulking around in her room because she did not want to practice her magic all the time. "I was really hoping for Aedon to bring us some stories from his adventure!" Leya clapped her hands together and jumped up and down in the same spot. Her eyes were glued to the S-class mage with curious stars in her eyes. One day, she would obtain the S-class rank and be just as cool as the others.

As she expressed her excitement for listening in to Aedon's tales, if he had any to tell them, Leya heard Taylor's walking stick tap into the guild hall-floors before she could see her enter. Leya's eyes shifted quickly from Aedon to Taylor as the brown-haired mage came into view. "Taylor! How nice to see you!" Leya cheered and waved at Taylor with a big grin plastered across her face. Her fellow guild mate seemed exhausted, maybe she had been working? A thoughtful glimpse shadowed over Leya's gaze, but she soon focused on the new conversations taking place and the excitement was back.

"Oh, Aedon just got back! He brought a really cool souvenir for Libby and I just got here, so maybe we are gonna be hearing about some really cool stories from Aedon's adventure or maybe we can do something really fun together - unless all of you are tired - but I am ready for whatever the day will bring!" the words came out of Leya's mouth like a fountain. The words slurred into each other of excitement, her body language expressing every word with twists and twirls of her limbs. When she realized she had gotten too excited again, she rubbed the back of her head in an awkward manner and laughed. "I did it again, didn't I...?"
