For centuries magic has been a freedom to all of the people of Earth Land, wizards, and common folk alike were allowed to use all forms of magic for whatever their daily needs or even occupations required of them. This is no longer so in the current year of 973. Ever since the events that occurred in the Eastern peninsula of Ishgar regarding the Guild known as Fairy Tail, words about how dragons once existed in Earth Land spread like wildfire throughout the world. Soon enough the Northern, Southern, and even the Western continents began investigations, hunting and killing wizards known as 'Dragon Slayers', all out of paranoia that these wizards would possibly one day become dragons and bring ruin to the world. It was decided unanimously among the leaders of the Northern, Southern, and Western kingdoms that certain types of magic would be banned until the world was rid of all Dragon Slayers and anyone who had used these banned magic types would be trialed as Dragon Slayers. These magic types ranged from users of caster types all the way to maker types, the reason behind this decision was due to how Dragon Slayer magic was difficult to depict out unless the wizard were to use their magic to 'breathe' their magic.
Once a wizard is put on trial, without any solid evidence to prove whether or not the wizard is a Dragon Slayer or not, many of the kingdoms resort to harsh, inhumane, and unfair judgments; one form of judgment was that the wizard in question would be forced to endure a series of 'tests' that would determine whether or not they were a Dragon Slayer, such as throwing them into a lake, setting them ablaze, burying them alive, etc. The end result was as simple as the fact that if the defendant was truly human they would most likely die as their punishment for committing the crime of using magic when the law was passed stating that it was forbidden to use and if the defendant was truly a Dragon Slayer, they would also be killed for their simple fact of being who they were in general.
In the meantime, while the other continents had been killing off Dragon Slayers, those in Ishgar seemed to have a different opinion. Rather than believing that Dragon Slayers deserve to be killed, they are believed to be the saviors of the land. After the multiple times that Ishgar was on the verge of destruction, the wizard guilds all throughout Ishgar banded together to protect the land, and within these guilds were Dragon Slayers who protected the innocent civilians of both wizards and even ordinary folk. Because of this, when the leaders of the other continents demanded that the Kingdom in Ishgar ban the use of magic and hunt down all Dragon Slayers, they refused and were immediately deemed as enemies of all the other Kingdoms.
The world is now on the verge of war, the many Kingdoms throughout Earth Land have decided that since Ishgar continues to harbor Dragon Slayers and allow refuge for all magic users, the entire peninsula should be wiped off the map. With the old generation that once saved the land now lost to history, it is up to the new era of wizards and their guilds to make a return and once again save Ishgar from utter destruction.

Heeyy, so I recently watched all of Fairy Tail and decided that since the world and concept of magic is such an interesting idea...I decided to make a whole roleplay based off it. The roleplay will be based mainly off OC characters but with the history of many of the canon characters still intact, however, canon characters will all but be dead in this time period.
