- Personality
Extremely polite and outgoing, Shylock isn't exactly the sort of character who comes to mind when one thinks of the Golden Famg Brotherhood: He never highlights his vampiric state, and even goes so far as to try and get others not to think about it: He prefers to hold doors and follow, employing tricks when he needs to enter homes instead of having to flat-out ask. He's very kind, and very optimistic. Shylock is surprisingly willing to assist the Department and likes helping out, enjoying the company of the agents and looking up to Greyston tremendously though he rarely talks about it at all. He seems unhappy with his choices at times and a bit nervous or anxious around powerful members of the brotherhood.
- History
Shylock was born to a wealthy family in 1890, and had a relatively normal childhood despite his high-class upbringing. Things got much less normal after he turned 20 — Shylock became extremely sick and was marked for death. His mother, grief-stricken and unable to accept her son's fate, convinced a local vampire to turn Shylock in order to preserve his youth and health.
Once turned, he wasn't sure how to feel about the whole situation. Shylock learned quickly and became accustomed to his new normal, though he missed being treated as a human and made an effort to act like he wasn't a vampire at all. In the late 1950s, he decided to move to Canada and moved again in 2000, albeit reluctantly, to the outskirts of New York City.
He decided in short order that he liked Canada better.
However, Shylock didn't leave. Instead he took some of his family's vast wealth and decided on a modest living: He bought a nice little cottage and started an antique shop in the city, mostly to keep himself busy. However his life changed dramatically when he was introduced to the Golden Famg Brotherhood.
Shylock wasn't sure at first if he wanted to join, but after awhile began wondering if he had many other options: He wanted acceptance. There was still a great deal of fear among humans of vampires. He ended up joining the Brotherhood and later, began having doubts though he is far too afraid to leave.

Rock-climbing

Vampire physiology– Slightly increased strength and speed. Biological immortality.
Weaknesses
Weak — Possibly due to Shylock's initial state before turning, he is very weak by vampire standards and only strong by human standards. He is easily overpowered by other vampires.
Sunlight — Vampires. Sunlight. You know the deal.
Heights — deathly afraid of heights and can't stand being too far off the ground.
Horseback riding — Shylock. Hates. Horses.
Relationships
Greyston — "Incredible. No one makes it out if the brotherhood alive — no one — and yet, he did. I admit I am very impressed by him."
Piper Reed — "Now there is a woman to respect. I have nothing but tremendous admiration for her."
Alexander Swift — "I like Alex. He seems nice."
Liliana Grace — "A fantastic warrior. She makes me nervous, you know, for that reason. But excellent in battle."
Morningstar — "I don't know him well. He seems cold, and maybe cruel, but makes such excellent drinks, and has a good sense for fashion."
Sanja Thorn — "Oh, Sanja? She's a wonderful Mage. Just a wonderful person in general, you know, I liked her company."
Bael Lake — "He's intimidating. I won't lie. A force to be reckoned with, and he always looks at you like — like some sort of wolf. He looks at you like he intends to kill you, vampire or not, and it's worse for my kind. But still — he's very devoted, and not all bad, I think."
Sundial — "I hate that horse."
