Fantasy Everything Unsaid

Of course you like it...you just can't understand the irony...

Will sighed, turning towards Davin again as he answered.

"Eh...Revenge. One too many love games," he replied vaguely, opting to keep the full story to himself. Every single time Davin was...reborn, he went through the struggle of revealing his past. Every single time. It's not as if he could just come out and explain how technically they were both immortal, and both cursed - oh, and by the way, he was a fallen angel?

It never went over well in his head, so he had never actually revealed the information to his eternal love. In fact, the man never knew that it was actually he himself that had tempted Eve out of spite. Maybe Jealously too. Difference here was, Will wasn't trying to keep Dav, he was trying to set him off, and that way it might cause them less pain.

"I want to know about you. I'd ask how you got here, but I think we both know..." Will crossed his ankles, his green grey eyes flicking across the comforter as he asked the question.

"Spur of the moment." Davin grinned, almost instantly illuminating his entire face. "It just seemed right, being here with my friends. Did I mention I'm blowing off some of my closest friends to spend time with you?" the German asked with a snort. "I mean, I'll probably be forgiven as soon as the booze starts flowing ..." Davin then pushed himself to rest on Will's lap. For a moment, the room was quiet--save for their breathing, of course. Something pulled at the back of his mind, but it was the last thing Dav was worried about.

"Why am I not surprised that all your closest friends are screwups," Will drawled, flinching when he felt Davin against him. "Whats so special about me anyway? I've been an ass to you all day. And I'll probably continue being an douche, just to warn you," he added with a slight smirk. He shifted again, resting his chin on the top of Dav's head.

"I know what I want, dude. You should relax because it seems like you have a pineapple shoved up your--" Davin stopped himself at that moment, covering his mouth with his bare hands. He believed the Gods had cursed him with a foul and unfiltered mindset but he didn't want Will figuring that out just yet. Dav had really bad luck with dating in the past, with both sexes, and he knew exactly where this would go if he was his crass, usual self. "You seem like the kind of person I could be okay with." he said slowly, carefully choosing his words. "But, you seem like you're holding back for some reason. Granted, it makes me only that much intrigued about you...but, I'd really like it if you we're being one-hundred percent you. Kinda like now." Davin chuckled, pleased with the gentle stroking that was occurring in on his head.

"You don't know me," Will repeated, though he reached down to wrap his hands around the man, locking two of his fingers together and moving his face to the side of Davin's. "You don't want to know the real me."

In truth, Will knew he was going to loose this battle, as he always did when it came to Davin. His soul mate seemed different this go around, and it didn't feel as predictable as it usually was. Maybe he could reveal himself this time...maybe he would actually ruin everything.

He reached up, gently touching the side of Dav's jaw with a finger and turning the man's face toward his own, deciding to actually be honest for a moment. "But just because we cant talk about me, doesn't mean we can't talk. I'm curious...are you religious?"

The depth to which Dav sneered was not loud enough to convey his true thoughts on that question. "Do I look religious?" he asked, pointing at the dark circles beneath his eyes. "You couldn't get a "Hail Mary" out of me if you tried. Why? Are you one of those things--how do you say it? Bible thumpers?" A loud cackle erupted from the German, bringing tears to his eyes.

The end of Will's nose twitched once as he glared daggers at the other man, before grabbing him by the shoulders, flipping him over, and proceeding to sit cross-legged on Davin's back. "Hilarious. F***ing hilarious. Now before i get the urge to cut your head off, tell me - do you at least know the story of Adam and Eve?" He asked, though he failed to keep the disgust out of his voice. Thousands of years, and he still hated to say the names out loud.

"Sure-- apples, temptation, snakes. All that jazz." Davin groaned, trying to wrestle his way out of the hold. "Come on, babe. Please get off of me. My ribs hurt." he whined as lowly as possible, waiting for the perfect moment to reverse the lock that was held on him. Although Davin was bigger in muscle mass, Will was stronger than he was. And it seemed like he wasn't even using any effort. The thought sent a chill down Davin's spine-- Will could do whatever he wanted to. And, Davin wasn't so sure he'd ever tell him no.

"Mmmm. Well for starters, it wasn't an apple..." He scoffed at the thought. "They got it all wrong you know, Eve didn't even show up to ruin things until a time after the garden was created," he added, rolling off of Davin's back and stretching out beside him instead. He figured the man would think him insane for bringing up the topic again, but Will figured he should be happy to be getting anything out of him at all.

Davin smirked, breathing properly due to the fact that his crush wasn't crushing him anymore. He stretched out across Will's chest, fulfilling his need to be close while they were both comfortable. "So, what caused it all? The end of paradise?" he asked. The reason why he did so was unclear to him. All Davin knew was that he had to know, was compelled to know.

I did, Will thought solemnly, though of course, this is not what he actually said out loud.

"Well 'Adam', as people call him these days, was originally an experiment. There was no Eve, no plan to force them to start the human race, but simply a guinea pig of the creator. Free will was not supposed to exist.

So Adam, who was originally supposed to be a sort of ruler of the Garden of Eden, was assigned a guardian. As in an angel. This angel, honestly wasn't supposed to interact with the man, but the situation rose eventually, and he did," he explained, looking down at Davin curiously as he spoke.

"They fell for each other - which is considered unnatural - and though it was true love, they were punished. Severely. It didn't help that the angel decided to directly challenge God to prove his point, resulting in him getting his ass kicked out of Heaven. Pretty sure you know how that ended up - Lucifer and all that great stuff - though i suppose he really didn't go the right way about it," he sighed, shaking his head.

"Anyway...Adam's punishment was having his rib removed to create Eve. Our friendly neighborhood fallen angel, was of course pissed about this, and decided to show up to wreak a little havoc. When he encountered Eve, he told her his name was Will - as in the oh so terrible Free Will that I mentioned earlier, just to tick off the man upstairs. He got his revenge, blah blah blah, the story's almost the same from there. But then there was the Fallen angel - or demon's punishment. When Adam and his not so lovely wife were kicked out of heaven, Lucifer was cursed to watch his former lover die, and be reborn again and again, doomed to fall in love over and over, the situation made far worse by the fact that he would kill Adam every time."

Will finished, staring up at the ceiling, quite aware that the sarcasm filled story was the most he'd spoken truthfully at one time in years.

"Fun right?"

Davin sat silently, listening to the story. The words rang with truth as Will continued until its end. It was as if a picture was being painted with the tale, details being so vivid that Davin could almost recall some of them. "Lucifer's wings must have been soft." he murmured, nuzzling into Will's chest. "And light as a breeze too...they'd been outstretched when we made--" Davin stopped. That wasn't part of the story...but he could recall the moments of tenderness. He could recall the touches, kissing, every moment. And the angel who'd been involved had William's face.

"We."

He had posed it not as a question, but more of a confirmation as he studied Davin's thoughtful features. The words that his love had spoken made him shiver, and sadness washed over him as he thought of the always aching scars behind his shoulder blades, the memories making them burn painfully.

"They were ripped out. The wings. The fallen don't deserve the mark of the holy. I - they are demons," he said bitterly. He suddenly longed for Davin to know who he was, longed for him to remember. He didn't know if he could handle being brutally separated from the man for another hundred years. He would gladly deal with Dav's reaction to the torment he had caused when they were not together. He was, after all, the living representation of sin. Or at least on Heaven's eyes he was.

Davin stared into Will's eyes for a moment before scoffing at the very idea. "Nice try, doofus. As if that could ever be possible." he laughed, pulling the man down to the bed with him. He wanted no objections, no complaints about how pitiful this tactic seemed. For the moment, he just wanted to cuddle with this guy who seemed like he was worth the pain of getting to know. 'But, you already know him,' Dav's mind spoke for him, "You know him and his wings.'

Will wanted to stay put, to be content in Davin's arms while he voiced his love for the man in all the ancient languages, just because he could. He wanted to be able to tell him about their past and not have to worry about why the future might bring, because they were simply eternal. But he couldn't...and he wouldn't. So after he was sure Dav had dozed off, he left, not bothering to kick the man out of the room, but deciding to leave himself, cracking the door behind him. It wasn't as if Will would far any sleep that night anyway...he hadn't slept in at least a good hundred years, and this time around would be no different.

---

After milling around the docks for a few hours, the brunette had decided to sit out over the pier, his feet swinging with the wind as he stared out over the ocean once again. It was high tide, and the waves from underneath lapped at his toes every so often as he continues to be lost in thought.

It was when the ocean went deadly still that he looked up. It was as if the world around him had frozen - there was no wind, no sound of the rustling palm trees, but instead the unnerving stillness of the unnatural silence that had surrounded the area.

Will knew the feeling that had crept over him a little too well...though he hadn't felt it in centuries. He closed his eyes and sighed, attempting to calm himself before he turned and faced his former fellow angel.

"Seraphiel....to what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked, his eyes settling on the being with obvious distaste, shoulders rigid as his green eyes locked with the angel's.

"You found him again I see....and you haven't been able to resist, as usual," the being of light mused, taking no offense to the death glare that was vein leveled at him by the fallen angel.

"Screw you. That's what you came here for? After centuries and centuries and you just come to brag?" Will stood now, fists clenched as he glowered, but the angel shook his head.

"No. I came to deliver a message-"

"I don't care about your fucking messages-"

"You can stop it, Lucifer!"

Will flinched at the use of his ancient name, the hairs on the back of his neck raising as he did so. Seraphiel, who had shouted to gain Will's attention, decided to continue before Will ripped his head off.

"You can break the curse, alright? It can be done..." He was cut off once again as Will flashed towards him, careful not to touch the man for fear of bein burned.

"How? Tell me HOW," he demanded. The words were half merciless command, and half tangible desperation, and the angel chose his words carefully.

"He has to."

-TIMESKIP-

The gang were all situated in the positions that suggested the part had gone nuclear while Davin was asleep. Half emptied beer bottles lay strewn across the room, envious of the fact that they were abandoned by the hedonism of the night's activities. Dav stood in the kitchen in his boxers, frying an egg. Yes, he was high. But, it was more out of routine than the actual need for the rush--he'd found something a little better. It wasn't a huge margin to bargain with, but, it was big enough to make the man take a considerably smaller dose than he was usually accustom to. He stood there and thought on the conversation he'd had with his newest object of affection. Will had said some pretty weird things...but somewhere deep inside himself Davin truly wanted to believe every word. To reject the man's--was he really a man?--confessions literally hurt like hell the next morning. Will hadn't said it outright, though Davin could infer the meanings woven into the story.

'So, what does this mean for me? How am I supposed to deal with the fact that-' He stopped thinking at that point. Accepting the fact that what Will told him could be true would mean that Davin was accepting a role in the fairy tale. Wasn't that all it was? Something to calm the junkie down? What worth could he invest in something as far fetched as being an eternal plague on some malicious entity's conscious--or heart? Davin shook his head and flipped his egg onto a plate. He paired the breakfast with toast and a side of black coffee, then sat down at the table. Across from him was a mug with some brew prepared just the way he felt Will would like it.

Unsurprisingly, the shock from the Angel's words the night before hadn't worn off of Will. He'd stayed outside for the rest of the night contemplating the message, processing the apparent plan to be set in motion that would set both Will's and Davin's hearts free. The plan itself however, seemed almost impossible, and it worried him to no end that he wouldn't be able to help his love...well, not the present him anyway. Regardless, there was the freedom that came with knowing that he didn't exactly have to be careful anymore, now that there was a way...or at least, he thought there was. Though telling Davin all this was going to prove very difficult, especially since Will wasn't sure the man believed him.

He pondered all this again as he made his way back inside to his room. It was thankfully empty, and he changed before heading down the hall, enticed by the smell of freshly brewed coffee. He cringed as he passed the living room, shaking his head as he turned for the kitchen.

"Morning..." He actually gave the man a smile as he sat down across from the man, bouncing his leg under the table as he glanced at the coffee questioningly. "This for me?"

"No, it's for my neighbor." Davin laughed, meeting Will's eyes a bit timidly. It was so strange how he could make Dav feel alien in hi9s own skin. It was just as exciting as it was fearsome. "So," Davin started, his accent pouring through in his grogginess, "Did you rest well? I wouldn't know...though I slept in your room." The junkie's fork picked at the eggs that lay on his plate. Though he was hungry just a few minutes ago, his appetite had been whisked away by the impending conversation. "Do angels even sleep?" he asked quietly, pushing the breakfast toward Will so it could be eaten wholeheartedly.

"They can. But I sure as hell am not an angel," He scoffed, before taking a sip of the drink and sighing involuntarily as he swallowed, lowering the cup slowly as his eyes flitted to the plate. "Eat. You're going to need it," Will said, his tone leaving no room for argument as he slid the plate back to its owner. After a few more moments of silence, the brunette looked up, leaning his elbows on the table and resting his jaw on his fist. Prepared to get right to the point, he looked straight at Davin emotionless, and made his proposition.

"So obviously...you believe me now, or you're at least curious. I'll be honest - part of me wishes I hadn't told you anything, that you could go on living in ignorance and wouldn't have to deal with the brunt of the mess I've created...but part of me is glad I did, especially since you have the chance to save us. That is, if you're willing."

Davin skewered his fork through the yolk of the egg and took a tentative bite. It was cooked through and through, as expected. After swallowing, he thought about what Will was saying. So it was true, after all. Davin didn't know from the expression William was making, but it seemed like he was trying to deal with their situation from a distance. A part of Davin felt upset at the notion, but htere were currently bigger fish to fry.

"Why do I have to save us? There were obviously multiple instances in which you could have asked a former me to do the deed. If I am correct, you've watched me die multiple times." He picked up another fork-full of egg and plopped it on a piece of toast. Mid bite, he decided he'd do it. And, that repulsed him. How easily he could forgive the devil, himself.

"I'm either a masochist, or just plain insane, but I'll save us. But, what about the endgame? Would you stay for me?" Davin asked, leaning forward a bit to glare into the demon's eyes.

"I...yes. Always," William said, letting his emotions - and his intent - show though his eyes before a moment before the wall went back up. He sipped his coffee, staring a spot above Davin's left shoulder. He took a deep breath before letting his eyes go back to the man, tapping his fingers on the table.

"I'll tell you everything."
