Fantasy Everything Is Not As It Seems...

She couldn't help but smile a bit, "No...I actually enjoy your company." She crossed her legs and ran her fingers through her hair. She reached for her book and laid it beside her as she flipped through the pages, finally stopping on one. Giving a small smile to nothing in particular, she looked up from the book. "Do you think there's a piano somewhere?" she asked shyly.

"I don't really know" I said standing up, flashing her a smile and offering her my hand "But lets go find out."

Aurora felt heat rise into her cheeks as she blushed lightly and took Oliver's hand. She stood up and snatched the book from the bed then went over to the box. She pulled out the box of contacts and took her glasses off, replacing them with the contacts. Blinking a few time, she finally got adjusted to them and tucked her journal under her arm as she headed out the door.

I followed after her, grinning a little when she blushed. "So how long have you been playing" I asked as we walked, gesturing to the notebook and giving her a warm smile "And what instruments do you play?" I peeked into almost every room we walked past, but I still did not see any instruments whatsoever, never mind a piano.

She peeked into some rooms herself as she spoke, "I've been playing for about ten years, and I play guitar and piano. My brother taught me how to play guitar. As for the piano, I'm self taught." She smiled timidly as she twirled a strand of her hair around her finger. It's always been a bad habit of hers, but she found herself only doing it when she was nervous.

I was about to say something, when I poked my head through a sound-proof door and found a large room filled with almost any instrument you could think of, with an amazing Grand Piano in the centre. "Jackpot" I said motioning her over and grinning "Ladies First."

Aurora smiled widely walking in and went straight to the piano taking a seat. "Name almost any rock song with a piano in it and I can play it. But I specialize in Evanescence," she said but quickly went quiet when she started to feel like she was bragging. She swept her hair over her right shoulder and tapped a single key. Closing her eyes, she listened intently to the sound, "It's beautiful."

"How bout My Immortal" I said, leaning against the wall in front of the piano and looking at her "One of my favorites" To me she looked...in her element here. Like she could just forget everything, forget the loneliness, the pain, the worrying, the feeling of being overwhelmed, and she could just be who she really wanted to be. It was a good look for her.

She smiled and laughed softly, "As well as one of my favorites to play." She brought her hands to the Keyes and started playing. After several moments, she took a deep breath, tensing up slightly, and started singing along as she played. The further she got into the song, she relaxed more and more, feeling comfortable.

Lake stopped playing and suddenly got very hungry. She winched as she stopped, everything hurt. Her eyes from all the crying, her throat from all the shouting, her fingers from the snares and her head from . Pushing the guitar from her, Lake got out of bed and out of her room, in search for some food.

She wasn't feeling to well.

She hadn't been this miserable since her parents divorced.

Lake walked down the corridor in search for food, but suddenly heard piano coming from a room. She tiptoed over to the sound and peaked through the door opening.

Aurora was playing a song from Evanescence for Oliver and it secretly put a small smiled on Lake's face, but then she quickly shut the door again and ran down the corridor. For some reason she felt like she didn't belong with them, or at least with them to listen to the beautiful sounds of the piano keys.

With her head low, she hugged herself and just kept walking, not caring if she would find a kitchen or not.

I was at a loss for words. Both her voice and her piano playing were as good as anything I had ever heard, and better than a lot of it. I couldn't help but watch her as she played, seeing the smile that it put on her face, seeing how she just swayed with the music, her voice echoing powerfully and yet gently at the same time. I was amazed. I just stood rooted to the spot, unable to pull myself away.

After a few minutes, Aurora finished and placed her hands in her lap, interlocking her fingers. She sat there quietly and nervously, her cheeks turning a bit pink, and waited for a review. A smile crept across her face as she looked up timidly. "It's not amazing, but I'm happy with it," she stated, almost whispering. She sat still as the room became silent.

"Not amazing?" I said stunned, as I walked a bit towards her "That was absolutely incredibly. I'm sort of...lost for words but there's not much more I can say except...incredible. You have a gift" I smiled broadly at her as I sat down on the seat beside her.

Cole, after getting some rest, came out. He was very thirsty so he decided to go and check on the bar. As he didn't find any drinks left there, he continued on to looking for something to drink. As he passed a door, he heard a piano, and someone singing. As he got a peek inside, he saw Aurora playing, and Oliver looking at her. Just as he was there Aurora stopped playing, and they started having a bit of a chat. Cole went on without making them notice him, put his hands into his pocket, and smiled. A little bit later, he saw Lake walking a bit before him. She seemed quite down. It was not the first time for her to be like this, moreover it was a more common phenomenon. The only time Cole saw her, at least a bit, happy was when she took some drugs in and drank after it. After looking at her for a couple of seconds silently, he went up close to her.

"Hey sweetheart! Have you seen my package?" Asked her with a slight smile on his face.

"Hey." Rain said with a hoarse voice, which she usually got after crying. "Yeah, I got it. Thanks." She ignored the brokenness on her face and tried to smile, but her face refused to move a muscle. "Why would you give it to me though?" She asked. "It's not like I deserve it."

Lake really wanted to know the answer. Why had he given it to her? All she had done was ruin everybody's mood. She wasn't a kind person so she didn't think that she deserved any kindness in return.

Aurora blushed and looked down at her hands. After thinking for a few minutes, she smiled and started playing Open Arms by Journey. "It's a classic," she said looking at Oliver. She looked down as she started to sing, not bothering to show her nervousness. She had never really listened to the lyrics before now, and she turned red but controlled her breathing.

"Well... It had many reasons I guess..." Said as he started to scratch his head. "If I get drunk again, it is very likely that I would build in a few person into the walls. And although it would be without reason, would not be constructive. Or at least not regarding the team." Told her as his smile widened a little bit. "So I thought that, after seeing how you enjoyed it in the bar, you could have the best use of it from us." He looked at the girl. She was still like that, and however he could see some effort to smile, she couldn't do it after all. "Anyways, would you mind me asking why are you off now? Are you looking for something? Or just having a walk?" He asked her hoping that she wouldn't mind at least talking with him. He didn't expect to hear everything he wanted to, but at least he tried to get Lake to think about his question, and not about what she had been thinking before.

"My favorite band, actually" I said as I listened to her play, and watched her fingers glide gracefully over the keys "And look up a bit, won't ya. You have nothing to be nervous about, and I want to see those amazing eyes." I knew I was flirting a little bit, but I just hoped she didn't mind it.

Lake shrugged, but before she could answer him, her stomach growled, answering his question instead. "Just a little hungry." She admitted before turning on her heels and started walking away again. "If you help me look for a kitchen and make me something to eat, then I guess you can join." She mumbled, pulling her hat a little down.

Aurora couldn't help but laugh a bit and looked up at him as she kept singing. She smiled playing the last note and placed her hands back in her lap. She had to resist the urge to look down. She had a lot of habits she needed to get rid of and looking down was the biggest one. The only time she could truly make eye contact with someone is if she was angry.

She looked around at all the instruments and sighed softly. She was in her element here and she loved every second of it. She got up and made her way to the guitars, studying them closely. Picking up an acoustic, she sat on a stool and started playing Wanted Dead or Alive. "Yet another classic," she said smiling. She had decided she wasn't going to sing this time.

"Okay!" Answered Cole enthusiastically as he followed the girl. "What kinds of food do you like?" Asked her in a solid way, so that Lake wouldn't get annoyed by it. He was kind of hesitating before asking her, as he had yet to learn where the border was. They got to a part of the corridor where they have never been before. It was clearly so as the walls were untouched, and they didn't have large holes in the middle of them. They opened the first few of them, but none of them was the kitchen. The first of them was room equipped, with a billiard table, sofas, armchairs and a Tv. The next one was very a very simple one. According to Cole, it had to be a dining room, as there was only a bigger table, and chairs next to it. He had a feeling, that they would find the kitchen soon.

"So music's your thing, I see" i said, turning in the seat so I was facing her. Her guitar was as good as her piano playing was, and i sat there peacefully as I swayed to the music.

"It's pretty much the only thing I'm good at besides being a b****," she stated with a slight smile. She switched chords and started playing softer. She hesitated slightly before saying, "So tell me about yourself. If you don't mind."

"Uh well, I was a middle-class citizen, you know normal kid" I said walking around a bit "I did well in school, had a couple friends. Not much thats special about me. Well you know except the whole shooting energy beams from my hands thing. How bout you?"

"Pancakes." Lake mumbled, feeling a little embarrassed. What teenager still liked kids food? "My dad used to make them for me when I was a kid."

She opened the last door in the hall and sighed in happiness. Finally she had found the kitchen! It looked like a real restaurant, big and spacious. There were two stoves, counters and cupboards everywhere and a giant fridge. Their was also a bar with four highchairs. Just like everything else in the bloody building, everything in the kitchen was grey. "These people really need to get some sense of color, I'm gonna go insane if I have to stay here."

She looked at Cole and finally managed to smile a little. Lake took of her hat and fixed her hair before placing her hat back where it returned. "I hope for you that you can cook, because I'm starving." She took a seat on the counter next to the stove and crossed her arms, waiting for Cole to start cooking.
