Fantasy Everything Is Not As It Seems...

I hugged her back hard and asked a little too quietly "you still wanna go out? Because I'm fine either way." I pulled back a bit so I could look at her.

I looked down and shook my head slightly. "I just don't wanna lose you," I said softly, feeling tears well up in my eyes.

She managed to make me smile a bit. I tilted her head up and kissed her very softly. I knew it wasn't the best time, but I just didn't care.

I kissed him back and pulled away, looking back down. I felt a few tears fall and refused to look back up at him.

I actually laughed a bit because I felt tears sting my eyes too and I needed a way to keep them back. It didn't work and I soon felt it as a few tears started running down my face. I sat on the bed and stared at the floor as they fell.

I sat next to him and laid my head on his shoulder. The tears kept coming so I just stopped trying to fight them. I stayed silent as I wrapped my arms tightly around him in a tight embrace and cried softly.

I wrapped one arm around her shoulders and said "I'm so sorry I dragged you into this. You did absolutely nothing and you still got caught in my mess"

((I gotta go sorry))

Sapphira sat back down on her bed, listening to Lake rampage down the hall. She heard the yelling from where she was; once it sounded like Lake had left, she pulled herself to her feet, walking towards Aurora's room. She looked down at the rubble of the broken door, then up at the two on the bed. "I didn't tell her where you were," Sapphira said quietly. "That would have just expedited her anger."

I looked up at Sapphira and sighed softly. "Her anger was fueled by her sadness. She was more worried than anything. She's sure as hell he's dead when we don't know for sure. I think it's best to just let her have her space right now," I said with an obvious sadness in my voice.

Sapphira nodded. She bit her lip, looking at Oliver. "I know it was an accident," she murmured softly. "I could feel your pain."

"It was because of me," I said with a shaky voice as I looked down. "All I know is Cole said that if he didn't join his 'campaign' then he didn't really love me," I explained, looking back up at her.

"Don't say that like you had something to do with it" I said snapping round to look at her "It was my f*** up"

I looked down sadly, tears falling down my cheeks slowly as I stayed silent. She laid her head on his shoulder and stayed quiet, afraid to make the situation worse.

"Sorry" I said quietly putting my arm around her again "Its just...you did absolutely nothing wrong, I don't want you to feel like you had something to do with it"

I nodded ever so slightly and wrapped my arms around his waist in a tight hug. "I'm so sorry," I managed to say as I choked back tears.

"Sorry for what?" I asked confused putting my chin on her head " You're doing nothing but being here for me."

Lake opened her eyes, not realizing that she had fallen asleep. She lifted her head and looked at Cole, he was till asleep. The only proof of him being alive was the slow rising and falling from his chest and the sound of his breathing heart through the monitor.

Lake rubbed her painful eyes and stood up, stretching and cracking her sore back. She ran her hand softly through Cole's brown locks and kissed his head, promising that she would be back later and headed out of the room.

Walking back towards her dorm, she remembered that her room was on the opposite side of Aurora's room. Snarling she headed down the hallway and saw Sapphira in Aurora's door opening. Once in front of her room she shot the three a hatred glare and slammed the door of her room shut, locking the door with her powers and dropping herself on her bed.

"Another chance and this is what happens." Lake growled softly as she looked up at the ceiling. "You never learn, Lake, you never learn."

I sighed hearing Lake slam her door. "I'm gonna go try to talk to her," I said softly and got up walking out of my room before anyone could stop me. I knocked softly on her door and took a deep breath.

"If you even dare to think that I am going to let you in then you can fucking forget it!" Lake shouted from her spot on the bed. "What the hell do you want now?! Gonna talk it all better?! HA!" She laughed sarcastically, putting Cole into a coma was not something she would forgive. Accident or not.

"Come on, Lake. Please open the door. You might not believe it but I know what you're going through. And I know it seems like you don't want anyone's comfort, but you do," I said softly so she could hear me. "I'm here for you and I'm not leaving until you let me in," I added, leaning my head against the door.

Lake growled and opened the door with her powers, still staying in bed and looking up at the ceiling, once Aurora she shut the door again and locked it. She sat up in her bed and looked at the girl with pure anger in her eyes. "What. the. fuck. do. you. want?!" Lake growled behind gritted teeth. "You took my drug and Cole, aren't you happy now? You are better then me, is that what you want to hear? You finally have something that I don't have so what more do you want?! Comfort? Of course I want comfort, but what makes you think I want it from you?" She tilted her head in mockery and pouted. Why would she want to talk to me when we don't even like each other?! She growled in her head and leaned against the wall next to the window.

"Who else are you going to get it from?" I asked softly as I sat down on her bed facing her. "You're upset and I get that. I'm not standing up for Oliver, but I'm just saying. Cole said that if he didn't join his 'campaign' that he didn't really love me. I don't know what campaign he was talking about, but Oliver lost it. He knows he f***ed up and wants nothing more than to fix it. But he knows he can't," I said looking at her. "You need someone to be there for you, Lake. It's the only way you're going to cope with this. I'm speaking from experience. Please, don't push me away again. If I wasn't serious, I wouldn't be trying so hard to be there for you," I added and hugged her tightly before she could stop me. I sighed sadly as I rubbed her back as comfortingly as I could.

Lake tried to squirm out of the others arms, but broke down crying instead, hugging the other back and sobbed against Aurora's shoulder. The last piece that held her together broke and Lake couldn't keep it together anymore. Everything came up in her mind. Her mother cheating, the drugs, rape, alcohol, her father's pained face, being kicked from school and Cole. It just all became too much and she couldn't keep it in anymore.

She clung to Aurora's back, not wanting the other to leave. Right now it didn't matter who it was, she just didn't want to be alone anymore.

I rubbed her back gently as I started tearing up. I choked back a sob as I tightened my grip on her. "Shh it's gonna be alright. Just let it out," I whispered softly to her and rested my cheek on her head. "I don't care how many times you try to kill me. I'm always gonna be there for you," I said softly, unaware of the tears falling down my face as well.

Sapphira knocked hesitantly on the door. "Lake... Is it alright if I come in?" she asked softly, hearing the other girl's sobs through the wood. She bit her lip, though she was glad that Aurora and Lake had seemed to work everything out, if only temporarily.
