Fantasy Everything Is Not As It Seems...

"Thank you!" Lake breathed and threw up her hands. "For once I agree. This is fucking bullshit! I'm going home!" She said and started to walk away.

"I might regret saying this but I agree with Lake. You're the government. You lie, cheat, and steal to get what you want and we're just a part of your scheme." Aurora looked back at Lake, "And don't let the door hit ya on your way out."

Lake clicked her tongue in annoyance and opened the grey door. "Good luck with the "powers", guys." She said towards the rest of the group. "Have fun with the freak, doctor." She hissed and stepped out. "Bye Guys, come find me when you turned into Superman."

"Hey Tobi!" Named the guy out loudly Cole. "I would like to have a couple of questions. First: Why are the numbers say that there are eight of us when we are only seven? Second: If you know what powers we have, you most have a back-up plan in case we would become swords, instead of shields, am I right? Third: How do we pull out powers out? Fourth: Is there something to drink? I'm all dry..."

A bit of a blinking fit and he was unable to say much but stare as everything unfolded in front of him.

"I...I can fly!?" he loved the idea of flight. In his.. Life he had once aspired to become a pilot. And now this guy was saying he could fly!? What a wonderful thing....

And then it hit him. His life was a lie. A lie that he had lived. And that he suddenly felt a longing for.

"okay... " Was all he was able to mumble. And he found himself agreeing to help this government program. If his life was a lie.. It was a lie.... He had nothing to go back to.

"In retrospect, what is there to even go back to anyway? Hey, Tobias, am I going to be able to get my penny board or my headphones back? Because if I have those I'll help out the government, no problem. I am a type of person who can be bought." Caiden wrote in his notebook, showing it around to people and then leaving it in Tobias's direction.

Caiden took his penny boarding very seriously, and he preferred that over using a normal skateboard.

"Also, why shouldn't we just trust them? I know for a fact that the powers have to be true, because there isn't a logical explanation for what I see using my vision. Normal people wouldn't be able to do that, so naturally there isn't anything else to believe." He wrote again, showing the notebook around. All through what he was saying, or writing, his expression hadn't wavered all that much. Caiden really was a "silent Steve..."

"Why don't you talk?" Sapphira suddenly spoke up. She blushed. "I mean... It's fine that you don't... You don't have to tell..." She was suddenly very embarrassed at her curiosity. She wished she had never spoken at all.

Lake was furiously stomping down the grey corridors, she felt like she was going crazy, everything looked the same, grey and boring. She sighed and placed a XTC pill in her mouth, as long as she would have her drugs it would be fine. Lake just kept walking, trying to find the exit, as the drug started to take effect.

Caiden suddenly grew very cold and still, almost as if he wasn't even breathing. His hand immediately began scribbling words on the paper, as his eyes grew into more of a cold/glassy look.

"There are some things that I have witnessed and done, that no longer allow me the liberty of speech. I hope you understand that I will never open up to a single soul ever again, so this is as much of an answer as you'll ever receive. It's nothing against you or anything. I guess I'm just not comfortable yet." He wrote, showing it to the curious girl, before flipping to the next page and writing something again.

"Just keep in mind that curiosity killed the cat." It read, sending off a rather mysterious vibe.

Sapphira bit down on her lip harshly, drawing blood. "I'm sorry..." She wouldn't cry; that would make her seem weak. Instead she just stared at her hands, face burning.

((Sorry guys the eighth person is out, so we only have seven, gonna factor that into the story)

"To answer all of your questions Cole" Tobias said "There arent eight of you, but the Director of the ETDU was supposed to be here, but something urgent came up this morning. For your second question, our back up plan is basically to pray that you don't turn like that. But if you do, we will have entire armies ready to take you on. Its the only way to stop you guys. For your third question, I don't actually know how to do it for any of you except Oliver." He looked over at me and my eyes widened. "We basically have to put him in the electrical chair to extract his powers, it will revitalize the amount of energy he should have in his body to use his powers" I glared at Tobias. "ARE YOU F***** INSANE" I shouted bolting upright and pushing my chair back "A-and what if you're wrong and I don't have powers? What then?"

Sapphira straightened. "Everyone, quiet!" she screamed. She never raised her voice, never caused trouble. But this... This moment seemed to be a very necessary exception to her rule.

Cole got up from the chair, and got out from the room. He seemed mad, and yet he left without saying even a word. Coming out from the room, he turned left, and started walking straight as he put his hands into his pocket. After a while, as he mumbled the following: "That dumbass couldn't even answer where I could find something to drink..." He ran into the girl in the hat. As Cole looked at her, he saw that something was off with the girl. "Um.. Hey... What was your name again?" Asked her.

((Yes JK Tobi forgot to answer the drinking question so now Cole is pissed of >.<))

"Hey handsome." Lake giggled and grabbed his shirt when she almost tripped. "My name's Lake, like the Loch Ness rumor, "What was your name again? You seem familiar. Hey, you're the guy that asked me out last friday, weren't you?" Lake's mind was telling her to get control over herself, but the drugs were stronger then that. "You want another night?" She was definitely going to regret this when the drugs were going to wear off.

"YOu expect me to be QUIET when I'm being told to literally sit on a chair that they use to execute people" I said, not shouting but still loudly "How do I remain calm when I'm being told this" Tobias stood up and said "Calm down, and just come with me" He said to me "The amperage is not even high enough to kill a normal human being so you're not in danger" he walked into an joining room and for some reason I followed him. It was a fairly small room with just one large computer like gismo and a big chair. Tobias gestured to the chair, and I let my curiosity get the best of me. I sat down, and he strapped my wrists and ankles.

And then it started. Oh and I remembered when he said I was in no danger, that it was a low amperage. I realized one thing...he lied. For the next minute of the treatment, I screamed louder than anything I had heard before in my life, and the pain was so excruciating, it like someone was taking a red-hot, blunt piece of metal, and shoving it into every limb and piece of my body and then yanking it out. When it was over, he unstrapped me, I fell to the floor immediately, coughing and spluttering blood.

Giroutte. Still flabbergasted. Was just standing there. Waiting.

He had nothing to do. His life had been ripped away from him and he accepted it readily. No one really seemed very interested in talking to him and they seemed occupied in there own thing. Some of them had stormed off. One had been taken off to an electric chair from what he overheard. And he was just standing there. Waiting.

"Come on sweetheart! You are much more friendly when you are like this. I'm Cole, and I wish I had been the one who asked you out." Told Cole to the girl, as he helped her standing. Cole just noticed, as he saw her up close, that the girl was quite pretty. "And if I asked you out now? What would you say for that?" Asked her. Somewhere he knew that the girl is not completely herself, but he enjoyed this situation quite a bit.

"Ha, you'd just have to find out, don't you?" Lake smiled with her stoned mind and clung to his arm. "They don't have an exit so they must have alcohol in this place, right?" She asked dragging Cole along with her. "I'm always friendly." She said, opening different doors. "I just need these am I'm fine." She held the container of pills in front of his face. "Want one too?"

"Nope thanks, you can have them all." He said with a smile on his face. "And how can I find it out hm??? Do you have any ideas in mind?" Asked with a cheeky voice. Cole followed the girl, as she opened several doors. Eventually they found a room, with some tables, and a few bottles of drinks. "Now that's what I'm talking about! Look what's here sweetheart!"

Lake gasped and grabbed the nearest bottle, taking a big swig. "How about you take me to bed and show me how good you are?" She handed Cole a bottle and drank some more from hers. She took another pill out of the container and placed it in her mouth, swallowing it with more alcohol. "Ah, this feels good." She giggled and collapsed on the floor, giggling like a 10 year old school girl.

Tobias stood far away from me, grinning from ear to ear. "I think it worked" he exclaimed "I really do" Once I had stopped coughing blood, I stood up and examined myself, and thats when I realized why he thought it had worked. There were literally visible currents of energy that were zipping across my body every few seconds. "How do you feel" He asked. I glared at him. "Like sh** you ass" I wheezed. I coughed up and spat out one last bit of blood. I decided I might as well try it out since it was done. I aimed my hand at a wall, and concentrated on the energy flowing through me and tried to send it through my hand. It worked, and a bright bolt shot out from my hand, creating a whole in the wall where I had aimed, which lead into a bar, it seemed. I stared at my hand in awe.

"The only sad thing is that you wouldn't say this if not those pills." Answered Cole as he took the bottle out from her hands, dranks a big one, and gave it back to the girl. "I wonder what would you say now without them. I hope it wouldn't be something including f***er, or something like that" Added smilingly Cole.

"Fuck off, I need them!" Lake snapped, her personality snapping before going back to the giggly girl. She tugged Cole's pants and smiled up at him. "Don't you like me?" She asked with her biggest eyes and a pout. "Wouldn't you want me?" Before Lake could hear Cole's answer there was a hole blown into the wall and she suddenly sobered up. "What the fucking hell?! She shouted, getting up on her feet.

Sapphira sat back down. Even when she yelled, nobody listened. She put her head in her hands in utter frustration before standing, following Oli and the man to the room. "Oliver, are you alright?" She brushed past the man, who grabbed her wrist, trying to stop her from getting any closer to Oliver. Fear spiked in her chest. "Let go!" As she yelled it, she felt a powerful, invisible force removing his arm from her and pushing him back. She looked at her hands in shock. "Did... Did I do that?"
