Fantasy Everything Is Not As It Seems...

Lake limped away and reached a bridge after a while. The piece of concreted went over the triple lane highway. Cars were hurrying home, or somewhere, and some trucks were delivering their goods. Lake climbed up on the railing and sat down with a hiss. Her whole body was trembling and tears were rolling down her face.

"How did I end up like this?" She asked herself and sucked her teeth, trying to keep a sob from escaping.

Memories shot through her head. Going to the park with her parents, watching TV together, cooking with her mom and her dad showing her how to play the guitar. Watching her mother cheat on her father with another man, when the older woman thought Lake wasn't home. The court on who got to keep Lake, being ignore, the drugs, the beatings, the different times she got raped, the times she asked for it and the times she didn't. On top of that, there was also meeting the others, finding out she had powers, watching Cole cook, seeing how happy Aurora and Oliver were…

"You're not one of them." She told herself as she looked down. "Nobody needs you. Nobody wants you."

Gripping the edge of the bridge, Lake gritted her teeth and cried as she scooted a little closer to the edge. Why couldn't she just do it in one go?

I nod slightly, staying silent. I reached for my journal and a pen. After I opened it to a blank page, I started writing down a song that was stuck in my head. I started humming it as I wrote, "I wanna be a bottle blonde, I don’t know why but I feel conned, I wanna be an idle teen, I wish I hadn’t been so clean, I wanna stay inside all day, I want the world to go away, I want blood, guts and chocolate cake, I wanna be a real fake" I glanced up at him, then I kept writing the rest of the song.

"I'll be right back" I said. I ran off, and soon found Tobias in a lab near my room. He backed away instantly when he saw me. "Look man I'm sorry about that, but Aurora broke her ankle, she nee-" I was cut off as he said "Insert this in the ankle, it will be better in a few minutes" He handed me a syringe from the table with a needle in it. "What the f***" I said flabbergasted "The whole world is suffering from diseases and stuff, and yet you guys are hiding a miracle drug in here?" "It only works on people with advanced genes, like yours" He explained. "Oh, wow...thanks then" I said as I turned and ran back to her. Thats actually pretty amazing I thought as I walked into Aurora's room. "You trust me, right?" I asked, and before I received an answer, I plunged the needle into her ankle and pressed the plunger.

I sat up quickly and flinched in pain. "Why ask a question if you're not gonna wait for an answer?" I asked starting to shake a bit. I had always hated the thought of needles pricking my skin. I got over it and finished writing the song them laid my journal back down. "But to answer your question, you're the only one I trust."

I sat down next to her on the bed and took her hand. "You know, when Lake flung you into the air like that" I said, chuckling and choking a little at the same time "I don't think I have ever run so fast in my life to get there. It was because it was you I was catching, that's why it happened. Because I hate...seeing you get hurt."

I blushed and looked down at my hands. "To be honest, I don't even know why you're so interested in me. I mean.....what about Sapphira," I said as I felt my ankle starting to feel better. I wasn't used to being as happy as I was, but I liked it. It was different. "And another thing. I'm a big girl. I can handle a little pain."

"I know you can, I'm just saying that it...makes me angry, like really angry, when someone hurts you" I said looking at her "And Sapphira's a nice person, but shes not you. You're just...the person I feel like I'm most comfortable around, the person I can be myself with, there's something about you that draws me to you..."

I brought my knees to my chest and wrapped my arms around them. "I never got those jeans," I said frowning slightly. I shrugged my shoulders and got up carefully, "Oh well." I picked up my journal and slowly walked around, feeling no pain in my ankle. I smiled slightly and walked out without a word. I quickly made my way down to the music room.

I took her leaving so suddenly to mean that she didn't want to talk to me right now. "Maybe she wants to be alone a bit, shes had a rough day" I said quietly to myself as I made my way to my room. I took the clothes off that I had been wearing, and replaced them with a black pair of shorts and no shirt, seeing as though I would probably be staying in the room for awhile. I lay on my bed, with my back against the wall and clicked my locket open. It revealed the picture of me and my little brother. I managed to smile instead of cry this time, and I shut the locket. I turned the TV on, and found some Romantic Comedy movie playing, so I contented myself with watching that.

I pulled the necklace out of my pocket and held it as I made my way to the metal plate. I pressed the button and walked out heading back to the town. I went to a jewelry store and saw a man behind the counter. "Umm hi. I was wondering if you could replace my chain for my necklace," I asked timidly and laid it down. He looked at it closely and smiled, "Yes I can. Give me just a minute." He walked to the back and came back a couple minutes later with a new chain. I smiled paying for it and left. I made my way back to the clothing store as I put it around my neck. I grabbed the pair of jeans, as well as a purple dress with a black design on it. After I paid for them and left, I went back to the facility. I headed straight to my room and laid them down on my bed before getting a shower.

"This movie is literally like watching paint dry" I commented to myself for about the 10th time. I don't know why I continued watching. Eventually it got overwhelmingly bad, so I switched the TV off and lay on my back thinking of what I could do to pass the time in the facility. "I gotta talk to these people about arranging their sense of entertainment" I said quietly to myself as I through a tennis ball at the wall repeatedly.

I got out and put on a pair of shorts and an oversized tshirt. I put my hair up then hung the clothes up in the closet. I smiled to myself as I looked at the bracelet.i went over to the box and pulled out several horror movies. I was terrified of them, I didn't care. I walked out of my room and made my way down the hall looking around. I got to Oliver's room and knocked on the door softly.

"Yeah come in" I called as I heard the knock on the door. I through the tennis ball, and managed to get it right into the box of my belongings. I grinned triumphantly.

I nervously opened the door and slowly walked inside. I closed the door behind me and smiled holding up the movies. "Should we start with Scream, Friday the 13th, or The Purge?" I asked laughing softly.

"Yeah, Friday the 13th has nudity so..." I said, grinning naughtily. I stood up and put my hand on her hips "I guess we could go with The Scream. Heard its supposed to be really scary."

I blushed laughing slightly and say, "That doesn't keep it from being a good movie." I smile handing you the movie before laying down on the bed. "And it is scary. To me anyway. But it's all a matter of opinion."

I put the it in the player, and lay next to her, putting my arm around her. "What gave you this idea?" I asked "You know, of me and you watching a movie?" I looked at her curiously, pulling her a little closer to me.

"I got bored. I went to town and got a new chain for my necklace. Then, I went back to that clothing store and got those jeans and a dress and came back. I figured it's been a while since I've watched a scary movie, and I've never been able to watch them by myself."

I laughed a little and the movie started. I settled in so I was comfortable and turned my attention to it, however hard it was to keep my attention off of Aurora.

I smiled resting my hands in my stomach as it started. I kept my attention on the movie, screaming during some parts as I closed my eyes. I blushed and nervously opened my eyes again.

I couldn't help but laugh at some of the things she did. They way she screamed, and closed her eyes. The movie was coming close to the end and I was actually a bit disappointed because I had enjoyed being with her in a relaxed way again, after the hectic day. The movie ended and the credits rolled. "You okay" I said with a smirk, still lying with her "You looked just a little scared."

I punched his arm hard but gave a small smile. I picked up the second one and smiled widely. "For your entertainment," I blushed handing it to him a bit shakily. "And don't judge me," I said a bit defensively. I couldn't help but smile as I laid my head back against the wall.

I decided to do something bold, something I had wanted to do for a while now. "You know what" I said putting the movie down " I think I have a little bit of a better idea." I walked back to the bed, startled her a little by pulling her up by the arm so she was standing up right in front of me, and kissed her firmly.

I froze when when kissed me as I tried to comprehend what was happening. I slowly started to relax as I wrapped my arms around his neck. I blushed lightly as I started kissing him back.

I grinned widely as I felt her kiss me back. I pulled her down to the bed by her hips so we were both lying down, with me over her. I started kissing her neck, working my way upwards.
