Fantasy Everything Is Not As It Seems...

Thats when I lost it. I ran over to the guy Lake was sitting on, and punched him so hard in the face that I almost sprained my wrist. Sparks flew, and burned his face. He threw Lake off, and stood up howling in pain. He ran away, all the other druggies with him. "What the F*** DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING" I shouted, grabbing the container and joint, throwing the container as far as I could and zapping the joint in my hand "This is not the F****** answer to your problems"

I stumbled back when she pushed me, then watched her intently. I took a deep breath to avoid snapping. I saw the guys she went over to and crossed my arms. I knew what their intentions were, and I didn't like it one bit. Before I knew it I saw Oliver attack him and I ran between them. "Cool it! Before you do something you regret." I turned to Lake and looked her dead in the eyes. "You think no one can relate to you? You think you're the only one that's had your problems? I've been in your position. Believe me or not. I've nearly killed myself because of drugs. I lived with my crackhead of a father and dealt with his friends! I know what's going through your head, Lake." I took a deep breath and refused to tear up. "He only let you in because he was planning on raping you. I know the signs. I could tell. You know how? I've been raped before, Lake. It makes you feel like s***. Like you're worthless. I may not give a rat's ass about you and your personality, but I swear on my life, I'm not letting that happen to you too." I turned on my heel and walked away, heading towards the strange building without another word.

I was stunned. She...had been raped? "Lake I'm sorry" I said "I have to go talk to her." I turned quickly and ran after Aurora, falling into step with her. "I-I'm sorry" I said "I didn't know. You know, it may sound stupid, but if you ever just want to talk about it or something...I'm here, even though I know its a terrible subject, I'll still listen."

Lake in all her anger lifted a metal bar with her powers and flung it at Oliver. "I don't need the f*cking answers!" She screamed. "I don't want them! It's my life! I can do whatever I want and you can't say shit about it!" She shouted. "I don't like you or that bitch." She pointed at Aurora, "I don't need Cole or that other girl, what her name. I don't care! You wouldn't have cared if you hadn't met me! And Miss Princess over there wouldn't have cared as well! Nobody would have! Nobody EVER does! Don't go messing with my life because we have something in common!" She then turned to Aurora who was walking away and shouted after her. "You're too late, Princess, It happened to me plenty of times! I don't care if it happens again! And maybe you should have just killed yourself, it would have been a lot easier for me! You think you're worth something?! Think again! None of us are! Our lives have been a lie from the beginning! We weren't meant to be." Lake bit her lip and turned her head, not allowing any to see the tears and ran away, not caring what Oliver said.

She wasn't one of them...

I froze when Lake said I should have killed myself. I looked back in time to see her run away. I gritted my teeth and started tearing up instantly. I wouldn't say it out loud, but lake hit a soft spot with the statement. I felt myself lose control, and I turned around, taking off after her. I caught up to her and knocked her down hard. Once I got on top of her I grabbed her hair with one hand and started throwing punches with my right.

Lake rolled them over and started scratching and jumped up off of Aurora before she used her power and lifted Aurora into the air by her necklace, slowly chocking her. "What part of LEAVE ME ALONE don't you understand?!" She snarled and tightened the chain a little more. "PISS OFF!" She screamed and flung Aurora over the asphalt.

I saw Aurora fly as I ran after her. "Aurora" I screamed as I piled on the pace and managed to catch her with a diving catch just befor she hit the ground. I put her down carefully, and turned to Lake. "You think that your case is so special, that you've had a hard life, well I've got some news for you" I snarled, I had enough of feeling sorry for her that was over "YOU created the problems for yourself, and if you don't let anyone help you then all of this is on YOU not her, not me , not Cole, not anyone except you. Now you need to take a huge FU***** step back and realize that before you get yourself and others killed." I stomped back to Aurora, kneeled beside her and said "Are you ok"

"I told you before, I. DONT. CARE!" Lake snarled and headed off, not caring about the others anymore. Right now, all she wanted to do was to find the tallest building and jump from it.

I saw my necklace beside me, broken, and my eyes widened. I wasn't fighting for no reason anymore. I got back up and tackled Lake to the ground. I screamed in anger and pain as I landed punches left and right. I felt my ankle snap but I didn't care. She broke my necklace so she deserved it. I kept hitting her, showing no signs of letting up anytime soon.

Lake let the other do as she wanted.

Pain.

It felt good.

Like something she deserved. She just lay there, letting Aurora take out her anger on her. Lake couldn't care less, she was gonna kill herself anyway.

I grabbed Aurora around her waist with one arm and pulled her off the ground. "Please, STOP!" I said loudly, holding her tightly as she thrashed "I'm sorry about you're necklace but this won't solve anything."

I struggled hard to get away, "YOU B****! ILL F****** KILL YOU!!" I felt a pain shoot through my leg and screamed as I stopped thrashing. I didn't have the energy to struggle any longer. I went still and started sobbing. I looked at Lake with cold eyes, "If you get your pleasure from taking away the one thing that they cared about more than anything, then I hope your happy. I'll kill you." I noticed my voice wasn't my own. It was almost distorted and devilish but I didn't care.

Lake sat up and wiped the blood from her nose. "I'm waiting." She hissed. She wanted Aurora to kill her. If the other girl wouldn't do it, then she's do it herself. "Do it." she challenged.

Without another word, I grabbed Aurora by the wrist and dragged her back with me, going as far and as fast as I could. "This won't solve anything, so you're not gonna do it."

"Oh, let her!" Lake smiled and slowly got up as she hissed in pain. "Let her do it. It would be better for us all." She cradles her arm and took a limping step forward. "Let her have some fun."

I could tell she wanted me to so I simply shook my head, "Why give you what you want?" I yelled In pain as I stepped on my now-broken ankle. I dropped down holding it tightly.

"If you don't do it, I'll do it myself." Lake stated and turned around. "It was nice knowing you guys." She said over her shoulder. "Say sorry to Cole from me." Tears appeared in her eyes as she walked away. "I just can't do it anymore…" She whispered. "I'm sorry…"

I dropped down to check on Aurora, as I watched Lake walk away. "Raise your body temperature" I said softly to her "It will probably help"

I listened to her words and glanced back at Lake. "Keep in mind, we were the only ones who tried to care but you wouldn't let us," I said then turned back and tried to raise my temperature. "It'll help with the pain, but it won't change the fact that it's broken," I said softly.

"Come on, there's nothing more we can do for her, we tried, and she didn't let us" I said with sadness in my voice "But we need to get you back." I bent over and picker her up in my arms. She was fairly light so it wasn't very difficult, and I started walking back to the facility.

Lake stopped and unconsciously gritted her teeth. Wouldn't let them. "I wanted to…" She said in a whisper after a few seconds, still not turning around. "But I can't..."

I clutched my necklace in my hand as I held onto him. I found myself fighting tears as we made our way back, with no success. I looked down the entire way back and stayed quiet, lost in my thoughts. I didn't feel like talking at this moment.

I carried her as fast as we could, and we eventually got back to the metal plate. Tobias had told me how to get back in, it was voice activated. "Oliver Steele" I said Loudly "Agent 721" The computerized voice came back with a simple "Welcome, Agent Steele" I took her as quickly as possible to her room, and lay her down on the bed. "How does it feel?" I asked

I stared down at my necklace ignoring the slight pain in my ankle. "Like hell," I said before looking up and staring at the ceiling. "My ankle hurts too," I smiled slightly, trying to lighten up the situation. I sighed softly closing my eyes. "Just some bandages, crutches, and a brace and I'll be fine.

"I'm gonna go get someone to take a look at it, okay?" I said as I took her hand in mine "Just take it easy, its been a bit of a rough day for all of us, especially you."
