Fantasy Everything Is Not As It Seems...

"Aurora?" Sapphira asked. "Can I come in? I mean, it's ok if I can't..." She opened the door a little, then pushed it further, finding it unlocked.

I looked up and stared at Sapphira with a blank face. "What do you want?" I asked with a slight hint of anger in my voice. I wasn't in the mood to talk right now. Especially to Sapphira. She was soft, fragile. She was the type to let people walk over her, and I didn't like that.

Sapphira bit her lip. "I want to help." Her voice was firm, for once. Aurora was strong; if Sapphira was going to help her, she needed to be strong too.

"I don't need your help," I said coldly as I turned my attention back to plucking the strings. I didn't want her help. I wanted to be left alone with my thoughts, but I decided against adding that.

I got up and washed my hands off then put on a pair of fingerless gloves. I pulled my hair back and put it up as I pushed past her and headed down the hallway to the training room. As I walked away I said, "Close my door."

I did as she asked, following her into the training room. I had hoped to talk to Oliver alone, but it looked like that wasn't happening. I sat in my spot again, lifting the same weight from where it had fallen with my newfound abilities.

I looked back seeing Sapphira had gone in behind me. I balled my fists up, shaking my head, and went over to he bench press and added a hundred pounds of weights on before putting my headphones back in. I laid down and started slowly lifting them, not worrying about asking either of them to spot her.

Cole smiled at her. At last he could help a bit. Lake's wonderful smiling face was pairless. "I would gladly help you." Answered to her as he smiled, and offered his hand to the girl.

The weight levitated, spinning once. Sapphira could feel it starting to slip from her grasp. She tried to regain control but only succeeding in flinging it across the room, hitting Aurora's equipment and narrowly missing the girl herself. Sapphira stood quickly. "I am so sorry."

I felt the bar fall on my chest, nearly crushing it. I yelled in pain and slowly picked it up, placing it back on the bench. I tried to regain my breathing to no avail. Slowly sitting up, I groaned as I felt pain shoot through my chest. It hurt too much to breathe, as well as talk. I leaned over, resisting the urge to vomit, as I kept gasping for air.

"Are you alright?" Sapphira asked, her voice panicked. "Aurora, I am so, so sorry. It was an accident, I swear, I'm trying to learn how to control it and it just kinda slipped..."

I sat there silently, still unable to steady my breathing. "You could have killed me." My words were barely above a whisper but still breathy. I put an arm over my chest in an attempt to ease the pain, but no success came. "Ice. I need ice," I whispered and tried to stand up, finding myself unable to.

I slowly laid back on the bench take deep breaths. "Go get me some ice," I said, my voice now stronger, but not by much. I gritted my teeth as I felt pain shoot through me once again, and I panted trying not to scream.

Sapphira ran out of the room, using her memory to find her way to the bar. She yanked open the freezer, grabbing some ice and putting it in a baggy. She hurried back to the training room, handing it gently to Aurora.

I took my glove off and put it in my mouth. I grabbed the ice and carefully put if on my chest. I bit down hard on the glove as a muffled yell came from my mouth. I relaxed and took my other glove off. Throwing them on the floor, I sighed internally as I hoped the swelling would go down.

"You hate me, don't you." It was more of a statement than a question. Sapphira couldn't make eye contact with the girl; she was too embarrassed. "I am so sorry, I swear I didn't mean to..."

"Just stop, Sapphira," I said sternly, my voice was now completely back. She looked at the girl and sighed. "I don't hate you. It was an accident. Just remind me to stay away when heavy objects and you are together. At least until you can control it." I gave a small smile and laid there silently.

"Good," Sapphira sighed with relief. "That's probably for the best." She stood, walking to the door. "I'll go practice somewhere else..."

"It's nothing against you," I stated softly. "It's just...what if it had hit me? I'd either have a broken jaw or I'd be dead." I couldn't help but smile at her. "You're still a friend."

"I managed that much," Sapphira nodded. "I did my best to make sure it didn't hit you." The quiet girl walked out of the room, then, heading back to her own. She decided she'd paint a little more to try to relax.

I had not even turned around while all of this was happening. I don't even think I had noticed, because as I had been doing my training on the bag, getting faster, I felt rage boil inside me. I could feel the fire burning me, the questions and statements like "Why us" and "These people destroyed our lives" swam through my mind I tried to push them out but it was no use. I took one final swing, my fist sparked with electricity, with an angry roar and I sent the bag flying across the room, hitting the wall with a loud bang. I stood stock still, panting and not saying a word.

I couldn't help but watch silently as it hit the wall. I groaned as I slowly stood up. I held my breath to ease the pain. "Everything feels like flying today," I said, breathing heavily. Tightening my grip on the ice, I applied more pressure, trying not to yelp.

I suddenly turned, and stomped out the room, almost running. "I'm gonna get you" I said to my self as I searched the hallways.
