  PersonalityCalista has always been stubborn. Her expectations, beliefs and her life revolves around striving for more and with her nature, she kept pushing herself to be better. It's just how she is– still, that doesn't mean she doesn't know when she's in the wrong. She's capable of admitting to her mistakes, allowing her pride to be raked across the coals. Her temper is a very slow thing. Most don't feel her wrath unless she's pushed too far. The only things she really gets defensive over are her daughter and her past, not usually talked about. She's friendly, but not overly so. She also has a sweet spot for a couple of the younger performers, especially if they take the time to talk and be kind to her child.
  
  AppearanceThe first thing people tend to notice about her are her horns. Curved and a dark obsidian, they tend to catch a lot of attention. Long ivory hair tumbles down her back, stopping just shy of her waist. Her features are soft, with large eyes and pouty lips. Her form is slim and due to her nature, she is naturally voluptuous. Her clothes tend to be dark and sleek, although she doesn't much care for the appraisal of others on her clothing choices. Her skin is olive-toned, with a littering of freckles along her face and body.
  
  BelongingsHer locket; When she was a child, her father gave her a locket. It was the only present she ever received from him and even though she despises him, she still keeps the necklace. Inside, she has a picture of her daughter tucked inside.
  
  Portrait of her mother; As a child, Calista discovered this portrait of her mother in her father's study. She had attempted to steal it away, only to be caught and punished. When she chose to run away, the portrait was one of the only thing she took with her.
  
  Her daughter's art; When Calista first adopted Katya, the girl was afraid to speak to her. Still, she communicated with pictures and drawings. Even though her daughter speaks to her now, Calista keeps the drawings tucked away in a chest. They are precious to her, if only to remind her of the progress her child has made.

  AbilitiesCoercion; Calista knows that being a demon has its perks. Although she doesn't use her ability often, she's able to implant ideas in other people's mind. It can definitely be a nefarious ability, so it is on very rare occasions that she uses it.
  
  Dark matter manipulation; Another ability she adopted from her father. Dark matter, such as smoke or shadows, are things she's able to bend to her will. It's not a very useful skill, so it's rare that she uses it.
  
  TalentsManagement skills; When Calista first joined, she was regarded as someone with little talent. She didn't have anything that would interest the crowd. So, she often found herself sitting in the management office and reviewing the finances. This was actually fine with her– she had always had the skill to deal with bills. The ringleader often noticed her hard work and after reviewing her ability, she was given the position of management.
  
  Dancing; Due to her heritage, Calista is a very sensual woman. Her demon traits give her the ability to seduce anyone she wishes, although she despises the ability. Still, if need be, she can always fill in for one of the dancers if there's an injury.

  BackstoryCalista was born in Larissa, Greece in 1946. Her father, an incubi, had seduced a mortal woman and had waited until Calista was born before stealing her away. The only true attachment she has to her mother is a photograph her father kept hidden that she accidentally stumbled upon. Her childhood was one of little joy– although her father had stolen her away, there really wasn't any true love there. She was just another sire to him; another hybrid to use at his disposal. Another struggle she had was the community she lived in. Life amongst demons wasn't easy for Calista. Due to her half-breed nature, she was often scoffed at and scorned. Still, she kept striving, pushing forward on only her stubborn will alone. Her first real piece of joy was when she was finally able to go to school. Although she was picked on, she also found friends of different races– willing to accept her without any prejudice clouding their vision.
  
  As she aged, Calista knew she had to find a way to escape. Her father was still strict, and even though he had his moments of kindness, he was still cold. Her chance came when one night, he chose to leave the house to find prey. She used shadows to destroy the shackles he kept her in, escaping through the window. It took her a while to find a way of life; she was left wandering, using her powers to allure men and steal from them once she coerced them to sleep. She came upon the circus two decades ago, curious as she heard a fight breaking out near one of the tents. Two men were fighting, going over numbers and arguing on the budget. Unsure, Calista stepped in and cleared up the confusion.
  
  The two had paused, so Calista was given a chance to audition. She was welcomed promptly and attempted to be given an option of performing. However, she chose to fill the role of management. Several years passed and Calista was enjoying her life. She had been wandering one day when she heard cries coming from a dumpster. Curious, she glanced inside and noticed a baby at the bottom. She quickly jumped inside, bundling the girl in her arms and taking her back to her trailer. She chose to keep the girl. The baby grew rapidly– her demon genes allowing her to age faster than any mortal ever could.

  Personality- An energetic girl who is always on the move. Because she's so used to never sticking in one place for long, she's developed a spontaneous personality to go along with it. Aubrey can adapt to situations no matter how bizarre they are, and knows how to make the best out of anything, but she's often a bit too quick to trust and doesn't always think things through fully, or notice red flags.
  
  - She's tougher than she looks and knows not to put up with rude people or give them much thought. Aubrey isn't the type to let negativity take up too much of her mental real estate, cheesy as it sounds.
  
  - Aubrey is sociable, won't hesitate to talk to a stranger, and likes making friends, although those who can't match her level of enthusiasm and energy might be slightly be put off by her. Aubrey doesn't always realise that it's her overly-excited personality that turns people away, though..
  
  - She's observant, doesn't like to let anything slip past her..However, although she notices everything, she often doesn't understand all of it. (For example she might notice someone is behaving in a slightly jittery way, but not realise that they're possibly nervous.)
  
  - Despite her empathy ability, Aubrey actually struggles a lot with understanding people - not for lack of trying. She's conversational and enjoys talking to people, but she can't always pick up on social cues, and often finds that people act in ways that are impossible for her to understand, and then get annoyed with her when she's confused, but never explain why. She also finds it difficult to explain herself to other people, and struggles to put her feelings into words. This leads to a lot of frustration for her, but she tries her best to stay positive about it and not let it get to her too badly.
  
  
  AppearanceA pale, freckled girl with a shock of bright, lively ginger hair that seems to be unwilling to cooperate with her. On most days she manages to force it into two unkempt pigtails. She's very short in stature and is often mistaken for being much younger than she actually is. Her eyes are wide, and blue, partnered with thick, slanted eyebrows. Her clothing style both on and off stage tends to be eccentric: in her everyday life she favours bright clothing and obscure tshirts she's thrifted (normally custom-made shirts that have ended up in thrift shops. So she has a tshirt that says 'Ashley's Hen Do 2015!" .. she doesn't know an Ashley and has never been to a hen do, but she thinks the shirt is funny.) whilst on stage she likes elaborate, gaudy dresses covered in frills.
  
  Belongings- Her gloves.
  To prevent her power interfering with her life every time she has to touch a living being, she wears a pair of leather gloves 24/7. They're slim and custom made so that she can wear them without it effecting her mobility.
  
  - Sketchbook
  A sketchbook she carries around with her for when she gets bored. Contains a lot of outfit designs and animal sketches, since those are her favourite things to draw.

  AbilitiesEmpathy -
  Aubrey is able to read the feelings of others and communicate her own feelings to them via physical touch, specifically through her hands. This is limited to emotions only, she can't read specific thoughts or get specific information from them, although she can use context clues to figure out certain things from it (for instance, she'd in theory be able to sense if someone was being dishonest if the emotions she was receiving weren't matching what they were saying.) Although she can technically use this on any living being, Aubrey only uses it on other animals - humans are complex enough that if she uses it on them, she'll get overwhelmed by everything, and won't be able to focus or read anything specific from them, so it's essentially useless. It also takes a huge toll on her, so she vehemently refuses to use it on humans.
  
  But, because many animals are considerably less complex, Aubrey can read and understand their emotions much more clearly. She can easily establish a strong bond with other animals, and use her powers to read what they want, communicate to them what she wants, etc. As a result, Aubrey finds it very easy to connect with and tame animals.
  
  ᙮ NOTE: As explained above, Aubrey refuses to use it on humans as it overwhelms her, and if there's any point in the RP when she does have to use it on another character, it'll be done with the permission of the other roleplayer, and it'll be completely up to the roleplayer what emotions she senses from them. Just to clear up any worries about potential godmodding, bunnying, ect.
  
  
  Talents ★ - Sketching. She's still an amateur, but she's relatively good with art. She doesn't really do much beyond sketching, though - mostly animals, although she also has fun doing outfit designs too.
  
  ★ - (Not sure if this counts but) Stage Presence. Her energetic personality is good for holding the audiences' attention, and she can usually naturally laugh off when things go wrong and continue.

  BackstoryAudrey essentially spent her entire life in the foster care system, up until age 19. Although her experience was overall positive, it didn't mean it was easy - she changed placements so often that she had to be transient and ready to be on the move, because if she made herself too comfortable, it'd mean things would be all the more difficult when that normalcy would inevitably be uprooted. One day she could be perfectly settled in to her home, and then the next she'd be told to gather her stuff and to get in the car to move to a new one, with little to no warning or explanation. Even in the most caring of homes, there was a sense that she wasn't really a part of it, more of an extension - and that was the good homes. It was a lot of trying to fit in, trying to get used to new changes and systems, a lot of trying to understand what was even going on. It felt to Audrey that she was being pushed from place to place by people who didn't care enough to give her a proper explanation or any agency in the matter. It wasn't all bad: there were people who really tried, there were placements that were great, and she couldn't really say she was unhappy all the time, but at the end of the day, no matter how nice the people around her were, constantly moving from one place to another with no say in it proved to be rough.
  
  ..The fact that she had undiscovered magical powers certainly didn't help.
  
  It started clearly manifesting at around 13, although she'd had slight incidents before that. People would touch her hand, even just brush against it, and the reaction would be almost instantaneous: like some foreign being was flooding into her body and taking up as much space as possible, filling her brain with feelings that didn't belong to her. They'd let go and it'd be gone as quickly as it came. These moments were almost impossible to handle when they happened, and even harder to explain. Eventually, Aubrey had to start wearing gloves to stop this, and the majority of people just assumed she was just generally adverse to being touched. But Aubrey knew it was more than that.
  
  While she found it near impossible to touch a human's hands, strangely, the reaction was not as severe with other animals. She could pick up and pet animals without trouble, although the reaction still remained: she'd feel emotions that didn't belong to her, and eventually, she'd come to understand that they belonged to whoever she touched. As her understanding increased, so did her ability - she eventually learned that she not only could pick up the emotions of the animals, but she could also transmit her own to them. Animals seemed to trust her because she understood what they were trying to get across, and the more they trusted her, the more they were willing to listen to her.
  
  This power is not entirely unheard of. It's not common, but in the grand scheme of things, there were plenty of fae and other creatures that could accomplish this, and they were much stronger, at that. But here's the thing: Aubrey had been led to believe that she was 100% human. She didn't remember her parents, and wasn't allowed to contact them, but in the way she'd been brought up and from the limited things she'd been told, they were supposed to be two regular humans who for whatever reason were unable to look after her. The discovery that even this might not be true threw her even more off balance - not only did she not understand the people around her, she didn't even understand herself. She tried to shrug it off, like she did with most things, but it was something she never could get out of her head.
  
  Aubrey eventually 'grew out' of the system, or rather, she reached the age of a legal adult, and now had to live by her own means. It was a terrifying freedom, one that she didn't ask for or want. She'd grown up with so little agency, and now, she had nothing but it. But if the system had taught her anything, it was how to be tough, and how to stay on the move. So of course, her next destination? The Evergreen Circus. A world-renowned circus staffed almost entirely with people like her - it was perfect. All she knew how to do was move from one place to the other.. why stop now?
  Although she wasn't professionally qualified, she attempted to join as an animal tamer. Her strange connection with living beings meant that she could very easily influence animals to do things, she knew when animals were in pain or in need of something. In her eyes, that made her a perfect fit. So she made up her mind to join the circus - and that takes us up to now.

  PersonalityAlvar is a kind and gentle person. (Dryad, technically) He seems a bit more feminine that you would expect, but is quite shy, until hes working with the others in the ring. He lets his true colors flair, and loves to dance and sing. He is always willing to help, even if he doesn't know the person. While he is usually quiet, if you get him talking, he could chat for hours without getting bored. He tends to trust people easily, but wont come near you if you give him a off vibe, or if you've betrayed him before. However, if you flirt with him, boy or girl, a wink or a pick up line, he will get flustered so easily it’s not even funny. Stuttering, bright blue blushing, and extra glowing to his marks included. He can speak Hawaiian fluently, and has actual ancient Hawaiian blood in him. He never really speaks Hawaiian though, unless he is experiencing a strong feeling of fear, anger, sadness, or when he’s talking to his fish.
  
  AppearanceWith his pale white hair, bright blue eyes, pointed ears, and tan skin, Alvar is a very girlish person. The blue markings all over his body glow slightly in the dark, and the white freckles on his face match his hair. The small, almost unnoticeable gills on his neck are tinted slightly blue as well. Hes a bit short, for a guy at least. That's what others have told him. But he never lets that get in his way. His style usually consists of traditional or flowy clothes, though every now and then he will wear something modern. He loves blue, as it complements his markings, and false gold jewelry. While one wouldn't really consider him handsome, is his very pretty for a guy. Some have called him absolutely stunning, or beautiful. Of course, this is common among the Circus.
  
  BelongingsA crown type item that goes in a circle around his whole head. mad out of some pearls, and metal, it was a gift from his mother.
  
  A blue sparkling bowl, used to catch moon light. Also a gift from his mother.
  
  A leather bound blank book that he uses as a journal. It has a lot of secret and personal stuff in there, and if anyone ever read it he would probably die of shame. But, It’s written in Hawaiian so he’s pretty safe with leaving it around his trailer.

  AbilitiesCan speak to fish, breath underwater as well as on land, and can bend water. He can’t bend a lot at once, but if someone splashes a water bucket at him, he can make the water float. Has strong intuition about people, and if he has a bad feeling about you, you will know. He’s very bad at hiding his emotions.
  
  TalentsHe is a very good swimmer, and is quite flexible. This helps with his act. He will admit, hes better with silk dancing, but does whatever the ringmaster wants him to do. Can name litteraly just about any fish in the sea. He also Loves to surf.

  BackstoryAlvar was born in a storm, on the garden island of Hawaii. He grew up happy, playing and learning all he knew from his mother, including several dances and how to surf. He had many friends then, most of whom he lost later in life. When a massive oil spill killed his mother when he was eight, Alvar was left with his overbearing and mostly cruel father, one of the best fighters in the land. His father would push Alvar to the brink of collapsing in exhaustion, and then cal him weak for not being able to keep up. As punishments for being disrespectful during any type of formal event, Alvar would be locked in a dugeon cell for a few hours or in a closet. This gave him serious claustrophobia (panic attacks when in tight spaces, doesn’t like closets, ect.) and a less intense fear of the dark. After two years of his fathers ‘training’, Alvar knew he wasn't suited for fighting like his father. He knew his father would be disappointed, but he set of on his own anyway, until he was found by the circus. When he displayed a proficiency at flexibility and a love for the circus, they took him in. His mother also used to play with is hair, calling him ‘starlight’ for. The way the stars and moon reflected through the water onto his hair. So if you plan on playing with his hair, even if he asks you to, he might get a little emotional. Just a little. Ok a lot.

  I may add more to his character sheet if I relized I missed something, or if I need to change any aspect to fit the story better. Don’t expect any major changes though.

  Cassian Croteau
  Alvar definitely is more comfortable around Cassian than most of the other Circus performers. Alvar hangs around Cassian the most, without even meaning too. Alvar especially loves petting his wings (but would never admit that. He’s way to embarrassed about it).
  
  Rebel Winters
  Has a friend from Germany he will write to. A witch named Rebel. He talks of her a little, but she's not around. (Yet)
  
  Calista Savas
  While Alvar isn’t that close with the second in command of Evergreen, he does enjoy her company. He can rely on her to answer questions or hear out concerns.
  
  Katya Savas
  Alvar absolutely adores children, as he finds them easier to talk to and less judging. Katya is no exception. It also helps that her and Cassian get along so well.
  
  Kamon Onruang
  Again, not that close, but he’s friends with Candy and Candy is a friend of Alvar’s.
  
  Aubrey
  A new friend, Aubrey is fun to talk to and a sweet girl. He enjoys talking to her about different animals.
  
  Maxwell Crom
  Alvar sees Mr. Crom as a guardian. Ever since he took Alvar in, he has had utmost respect and loyalty to the demonic person. Alvar would do anything Mr. Crom asked of him, as long as it doesn’t put anyone else in danger.
  
  Rehema
  Alvar holds a decent amount of respect for the siren. More specifically because she is similar to him, with the whole understanding the ocean deal. Not super close with her, but would still do a lot for her.
  
  Candy
  Candy absolutely loves messing with Alvar. She finds his reactions so funny. But because she’s generally very nice, they get along well. One example is she gave him a fish pun sweater. And wouldn’t stop making puns. Alvar almost cried of laughter.
  
  Fenli (Fen)
  Alvar loves to hang out with Fenli, as they complement each other’s personality. He has fun talking with the animals, and she helps out with his fish. He sees her as a best friend. Would go to literal hell and back for her.
  
  Xao
  The two really only have a bond about his sister, but if they needed each other he wouldn’t hesitate to help. More good acquaintances than anything, honestly.
  
  Lucian
  Is absolutely terrified of the man. Unless someone else is there with him, he will not be around Lucian. And if he was forced to be in the same room as him, Alvar would probably make a dangerous water shield. He does not trust him. Calls him Ho’ike (Demon)
  
  CostumesAlvar has two costumes that he uses for shows. The first one is a deep blue wave like outfit, which is what he normally wears. The second is a pale blue and gold costume, which is used when there are more important shows.

  PersonalityCassian's background hammered a distrustful nature into him. He is outwardly very courteous and can be charming when he wants to, but he has a hard time trusting people, especially others with angelic blood. For all the intensity and vigor that his act requires, Cassian is actually quite gentle, his strength carefully calculated. He's good with children and most animals, although he is nervous around horses. Cassian is generally observant, keeping track of who and what is in the room at any given time and he values precision. He's very light on his feet and there are some odd things that trigger his panic/alert response. Gunshots, car tires on rough roads, and creaky doors can all freak him out beyond reason. Cassian isn't excessively touchy, keeping his hands to himself beyond handshakes and polite hugs. This careful facade conceals a touch-starvation that runs deep and manifests itself in some quiet habits, such as tugging at a lock of his own hair when it's long enough and rubbing his arms as if he's cold (he often is).
  
  AppearanceCassian is lean and lithe, still built like the acrobat that he once was. He's decently tall, but not so much that he's particularly imposing. His white-blonde hair loses its golden undertones during the winter. It's just long enough to get into his eyes, so he slicks it back for his act and sometimes has to be reminded to pick up hair gel so it doesn't become a hazard. His cheekbones and jaw are pretty pronounced. If he was five inches taller or twenty years older, he could be called gaunt. His eyes are amber-brown, on the lighter side of the shade. Cassian's wings are truly his defining feature. They're huge and full and he keeps them in good shape, washing his feathers delicately whenever he has the time. The right wing was broken and healed incorrectly, so they're nowhere near as functional as they used to be, and if you look for it, you can see that the right one drags, slightly off kilter from the left one. Cassian's posture is careful, precise, and he uses it to make the broken wing less obvious whenever he can. Cassian's feet are almost always bare, as he prefers to be able to feel the ground and whatever vibrations come through it. Cassian favors elegant, but efficient clothing. Nothing too gaudy and no bright colors. The outfits he wears when performing are less conservative than he would opt for if he had the choice, but he wears them well. When not performing, Cassian favors collared shirts and nicely tailored slacks. All of his clothing has to be tailored to accommodate his wings, which makes adding to his wardrobe a bit of a troublesome process. Cassian is fluid and precise with his movements, no energy more than necessary is ever expended on his part. He likes to be up high whenever he can, so can often be found perched on the tent supports, in the rafters of any old building he can get into, or just casually on top of a counter or table.

  BackstoryCassian was born into a French crime syndicate, the Order of the Fallen. The syndicate was a long-established, elusive presence in France and consisted mostly of a small colony of fallen angels and their descendants. The eldest son of one of the minor syndicate bosses, Cassian was doomed to inherit a bloodstained legacy and a position among the honorable criminals. He was always too sweet for the leaders' liking and while he genuinely cared for his family, he wasn't cut out for the life that they had built for him. Despite honestly trying to conform to the way of life that had been taught to him, Cassian finally broke down and took the opportunity to run away. After a run-in with a representative from a rival mob that left the state of his well-being in question, Cassian simply never came home. It was a great feat, and hurt him to go through with, especially because he was just 16 years old at the time, but he wanted out. Cassian joined the Evergreen Circus shortly after as an acrobat, quickly putting together an arial silks act. His wings were no small help in his performance and he lived to sail through the air in front of an audience. He had only been performing his act for about a year when he broke his right wing in an accident. It was a severe break and might have had a chance at healing better if it had been treated properly, but what with the touring show and always being on the road, Cassian pushed himself too hard and the wing healed out of place. Now his range of flight is diminished greatly and his wing pains him sometimes. Cassian will never forgive himself for that. He considered the circus his family at that point and didn't know what else to do other than teach himself something new. It took him longer than he'd like to admit, but he adapted to his knife act after a while. Continuing an arial act without the power of flight would be too painful for him.

  PersonalityTobias is one of those individuals whom you can never seem to give your utmost trust. His whimsical and mischievous antics at the way he carries himself during his conversations somehow feels eerie to the regular audience. However, he claims that that is just the way he expresses himself. Even if the person he is conversing with doesn't pay close attention to him, they will always notice his outrageous and at often times flamboyant gestures with his limbs. These could be a flick or several flicks of his wrist; a tapping of his foot; swinging his arms and elbows that seem synced with what he is talking about; rapid finger motions, etc. That is just how he is whimsical, or in his words 'a graceful being of finesse'.
  
  Despite his suspicious aura, Tobias is actually a very friendly person. And is usually the first person to start conversations and at often times would randomly start small talks or ask vague, random questions that range from funny to sometimes idiotic. He will seem like a weirdo, but he is only just amusing himself at the myriad of reactions or responses he gets with these antics of his.
  
  Not much is known though about what type of person he is when his smile fades as you can always see him with a tiny smirk on his face which will turn into a smile when he catches you staring at him.

  Tobias, when not in clown makeup and costume, often wears a black long coat that resembles that of a butler outfit complete with a white or at times black under polo. To complete his usual outfit, he finishes it with some form of neckwear - a tie, a cravat, a scarf, or a combination of two among the three neckwears.

There is, however, a limit as to how much souls Tobias can contain in his soul and currently it caps at 270 souls as it increases along with his age.

While some he did in mercy. Tobias is by no means a wandering merciless killer, he just steals the souls of those who deserve death and those who deserve an eternal rest. Unlike some other supernatural beings who have been around ages like him or even older, Tobias has never done something as outrageous as overthrowing a country through by manipulating the evil desires of men. It's just not in his interests. Having already lived quite long in the ages, Tobias view about the entire world is like being seen from an audience seat.

  the nile was home to rehema for a while, back in egypt. the tales of "el naddaha" started back in the 50s, where the nile started growing more and more popular, which meant tourists seeking to see just a glimpse of the much more deadly counterpart of mermaids. rehema enjoyed the attention, often seducing one man [ or woman ] at a time to a point where she would convince them to visit the nile during the night time, where she would promise to turn human just for them. those were the ones who went missing. rehema, much like other sirens, was born to fend for herself. they weren't a family bunch like their counters, but they were fine with that. through all of the people who did come and visit, only one stood out. well, two. a single father with his daughter at his side, clinging to him like life itself depended on it. they came to see if the mermaids were real, his daughter making the mistake of thinking they were so. not wanting to crush the girls spirit, rehema played along. she called herself a mermaid, and acted like one just for the child, and soon enough that genuine kindness came real. she became excited to see the girl and her father who made frequent visits. she told the father to come back one night, telling him the same promise she'd told many others, except this time, she meant it.
  
  the transformation to human itself was an awfully painful process, but she went through with it just for him. the two were so convinced they were in love, so she would do anything for him. love wasn't a known concept for a creature like rehema, so of course she acted impulsively. she remembered the transformation as if it were yesterday, he tail feeling like it'd been ripped to shreds as even her lungs started to shape different, adapting to actually living with only oxygen and not the water she'd lived in majority of her life. that night, the man came to her beckoning as promised, wrapping his coat around her when they united.
  
  timeskipping ahead, the two were engaged, but of course, something tragic happened. the daughter came down with a terrible sickness, a sickness that couldn't be fixed no matter how many doctor visits were made. her father, rehema's fiance, took up the terrible hobby of drinking. at first it was to calm the nerves, to keep him from being too stressed, but then it turned into him not wanting to face his fears and reality. he couldn't even look at his dying daughter, leaving rehema to be the caretaker of her. a real parent to the girl who was scared of knowing there were only a few days left for her. the evening that would be the girls last, rehema sat on her bed, resting the girls head on her lap as she stroke her hair. the coughing was worse, and color had officially drained out of the child's face, and the only thing the siren could do was sing to her softly those last moments, caressing her head with a shaky hand while the other gripped tightly on the childs own hand that grew cold through the days she'd been sick.

  Backstorythe beginning of zoe's life is not a happy tale. when she was born, her parents had not been happy with her birth. shapeshifters usually only had two forms; their human form and whenever they shifted, their animal form. It was rare for any shapeshifters to be born as a hybrid. however, that's exactly how zoe was born; with her ears and tail fully developed like her other limbs. her parents were naturally distraught– her life would be harder for her, especially since her abilities were so visible. so, the two decided to lock her away; to conceal her from the public. zoe's childhood was spent in the small bedroom she called home. she wasn't allowed friends or to go outside except to play in the garden sometimes (under her parents' supervision). as she matured, zoe began to question her life. every time, her parents would then shoot her down, telling her she shouldn't ask questions she didn't want answers to. however, all their attempts were in vain. their next door neighbor had a child around the same age as zoe; a little girl with red hair and a friendly smile. as she grew, the two slowly became best friends. their friendship was a secret; if zoe mentioned one thing about her, she would be banned from going outside. the night before her seventeenth birthday, however, her friend snuck to her window and picked the lock. the girl was kind as she lured zoe outside and helped her to jump the fence. zoe had been surprised when she had walked into her friend's house. it had been so big and spacious. for a few weeks, the girl kept zoe with her. that all came crashing down when her parents knocked one morning, claiming that they thought their 'pet' must have gotten lost in the backyard. zoe was frozen as her friend attempted to hide her away from her parents.
  
  that night, zoe had decided she needed to leave. her friend was distraught; although, she eventually told her to be safe on her journey. zoe left and raced down the street, passing by her parent's house. her heart was beating wildly as she ran away, off to find some place safe. luckily for zoe, the circus was in town that evening. she had just walked onto the grounds– with supernatural beings and humans mixed alike– when a young girl bumped into her side. zoe automatically panicked; asking the girl if she knew where her mom was, if she was okay, etc. the girl reassured her she was and asked zoe to lead her back to her mom. it wasn't long before the two found the girl's mom– a beautiful demon woman with horns and long hair that tumbled past her shoulders. the woman introduced herself as calista and after glancing at the girl's bag and tear-soaked cheeks, she invited the girl inside her trailer. somehow, that was the beginning of zoe's career as a trapeze artist. she's been training for over a year now and with has improved significantly from when she first joined.

Often wearing baggy sweaters and shorts, Candy finds herself more often than not talking to new people just for fun. She won’t hesitate to jump into a crowd, and absolutely loves to make new friends. She is incredibly nice, and will do anything in the world for just about anyone. She cares about the other members of the troupe, including that she loves giving positive feedback to them about their performances.
  
  AppearanceCandy is that person that some people will stare at on the street, because she’s just so bright. Usually wearing baggy sweaters with shorts, Candy has a habit of picking pastel colors consisting of pink, purple, and more pink. Her bright blue eyes contrast with her rose gold fur, and she looks a bit more like a dog than a fox. She can store her other eight tails, appearing to have only one, as she wishes.
  
  BelongingsWhile she doesn’t have any life changing possessions, Candy does have a shelf of gifts that she’s received over the years. She absolutely loves gifts, not in the sense that she’s a material person, but that she loves the though of someone spending their time to figure out what she would like.   Her strength comes from multiple things. Her father’s teachings, her own love for climbing, sports, and hiking, and her obsession with wrestling as kid. Which, considering her personality, was very odd.

  BackstoryWhen Candy was born, her parents rejoiced. They weren’t supposed to have children, so Candy was like a miracle. Her mother was a florist, and absolutely loved to go on hikes with her daughter. They would go for several days at a time, finding new animals and documenting plants. Her father was a black belt, and a Sensei if his own dojo. He tried to teach her how to fight, but when she showed more aptitude for brute strength, rather than controlled attacks, he enrolled her in wrestling. She very quickly got obsessed with it, and while she wasn’t to fond of hurting people, she loved being stronger than basicly everyone else in her school. When the Evergreen circus rolled around, she took a immediate interest. Especially when she learned they had a strong man spot open. With the blessing and permission from her family, she packed her bags and joined the troupe. While she obviously misses her family, and sends them letters all the time, she wouldn’t change where she’s at for the whole world itself.

  PersonalityOpen and unfamiliar with the idea of privacy, Fenli is a very easy person to get along with. She is keen on the idea of adventure and wants to discover every interesting fact and detail that she can, but her brother is rather protective of her. At times, Fenli appears as a bird locked in cage--locked, confused, and undeniably lonely. She's quick to mask such melancholy, however, especially around the presence of others. In addition, she can be a bit gullible and obtuse to certain things, often missing important cues and hints.
  
  AppearanceAt merely 5'4" and weighing approximately 110 pounds, Fenli has a rather petite appearance. Her pale skin is colored by her rosy cheeks and lips, making her look flushed even if she may not be flustered. Her light pink hair falls just below her waist and it's often braided loosely to not hinder her movements. In addition, she wears loose clothing, often "borrowing" the items of her taller friends and companions.

  AbilitiesBecause she is half animal-type fae, Fenli has a connection with animals. She can more or less speak to them as if they were talking humans, understanding them like very few can. In addition, animals are naturally attracted to her and she can heal a tad faster than normal beings.
  
  Fenli can speak a language after only hearing it once. This is thanks to the Tongues ability that comes with being part fae, but she's not as good as her brother.
  
  Fenli also has an innate ability that she can't recall: Glamour, which is basically the power of illusion. She can change her appearance at will.
  
  TalentsBesides being a rather flexible person, Fenli is too clumsy for her own good. She's also rather skilled when it comes to playing the guqin and traditional Chinese dancing, but she doesn't think she is and refuses to perform in front of others.

  PersonalityReserved and calculated, Xaomin never makes a move without considering the potential consequences. He's easy enough to get along with, but some people might find his introvert-like nature a bit too exhausting. While Xaomin enjoys being left alone, he still desires the company of other people at times. People who approach him for small talk are more than welcomed, and he may even crack a smile and joke or two when he's in a really good mood. Xaomin is also protective of those he trusts and truly cares for. While this is a small handful of people, they are very valuable to him.
  
  AppearanceXaomin is a somewhat tall man with hair the color of the night sky and eyes bluer than a crystal. His lean body is lined with muscle, though this can be hard to see under his clothes at times. There are multiple piercings that line his ears but he has yet to tell anyone what they mean. In addition, tattoos line his body and each piece was personally designed by him. Some scars can be found on his body, but again they are difficult to see beneath his clothes and tattoos.

  AbilitiesUnlike his sister, Xaomin is less connected with nature. He's closed off that side of him, making him less of a honing signal for animals. While he can hear them speak to him, he chooses to ignore them unless it's dire. Because of his fae blood, he is also a tad faster at healing than most.

  BackstoryXaomin and his sister were born in the countryside of China and lived with his working mother and grandparents. His father's presence was near nonexistent and the only time Xaomin saw him was glimpsing at his back walking away each time. Although emotionally detached from his father, he loved his mother and respected her questionable choices even while people whispered behind their backs. Negativity aside, he continued to work with his family until he noticed he and his sister were aging much slower than the rest. It wasn't long before his grandparents passed and mother was getting older each day. By this point, the whispers had turn into verbal and physical abuse.
  
  After his mother's unexpected death, nothing stopped the villagers from tormenting the siblings. One day, Fenli lost control and animals suddenly stormed the village, attacking everyone until no one was left standing. I’m addition, her Glamour ability made some of the villagers attack each other. Unfortunately, there were some deaths and Xaomin attempted to reassure his kid sister, but she couldn't process what she had done. She ended up traumatizing herself and forcing herself to forget what happened. Xaomin took the opportunity to take his sister elsewhere. They eventually found work in the city and somehow wound up in the circus.

  PersonalityBeatrice overall is an extremely laid-back low energy person. Actually, she might be a bit too low energy, whether it be the fact that she seems constantly tired or that it's not uncommon to find her napping practically anywhere (and at any time). Her general tired attitude does lead to her sometimes being easily confused, as well as her just overall disinterested in whatever's going on around her. Not a lot seems to phase her either; though, it's debatable if it's because she's not actually bothered by much, or just because she's too tired to fully pay attention half of the time. She's lazy and overall irresponsible, but she makes up for it by at least trying when it comes to performing. Outside of that, you probably shouldn't expect much from her.
  
  She's not the most sociable person out there either, but Beatrice won't refuse a conversation, and actually loves hanging out with people, despite seeming like she doesn't really care. In fact, she actually does seem to be a bit more energetic every once in awhile, especially if a topic she's passionate about comes up, or if she's around people that she considers friends.
  
  AppearanceBea is about average height, though the horns atop her head seem to give off the illusion that she's taller than she really is. Her skin is pinkish red in color, with white hair contrasting the rest of her appearance. Her eyes also stand out compared to her appearance, being black in color with yellow irises. She seems to have a constant bedhead, unless she ties it back. She often looks like she's just stumbled out of bed, whether it be her tired eyes or overall demeanor. She wears a lot of old, comfier clothes when it comes to her everday life. She's usually more cleaned up and awake for shows, though that isn't always the case.
  
  BelongingsScrapbooks - Both old and new, Beatrice has scrapbooks from the many years of her life (albeit only ones within the past few centuries); they have small sentimental items, as well as pictures and sketches inside of them. Most of them are really old and finished, but Beatrice seems to be in progress of making a new one.
  
  Cameras - Beatrice has a variety of cameras, ranging from more advanced ones to simple, old polaroids. Some of these cameras are clearly just for show, due to the fact that only a small portion of them work. She just seems to like collecting them, as well as photography.
  
  Pocket Knife - While she owns plenty of knives for the sake of her act, she has a small pocket knife that she carries around with her sometimes. She doesn't use it for anything. Upon closer inspection, it has the letters 'E.B.' carved into the handle; it also seems a bit old.

  BackstoryDespite her species, Beatrice was actually raised by humans. While she still doesn't understand how they found her, she doesn't really care. They're the only parents she'd ever need, and she honestly considers herself more human than demon due to her upbringing. She takes a lot of pride in her family, even centuries after they passed away. She'll gladly tell people about her family if they were ever to be brought up.
  
  The rest of her life gets a bit vague, though, after her parents' deaths. All she says is that she traveled and met a lot of new people, that she's seen the world. She'll still gladly tell stories and even share her scrapbooks, but dances around the subject when specific people or events may be brought up. She likes to say that because she's been around so long, everything just blends together and it's hard to remember.
  
  Eventually, her travels would come to an end. Beatrice grew tired of the world; she'd seen enough and there was only so much she could explore. Honestly, life, in general, was starting to bore her. For a long time, she was doing nothing, until she found interest in the circus.

  PersonalityDon't let Yulie's history be deceiving, she is a gentle soul who does everything in her power not to hurt another living being--no matter what. She deeply cares for life and respects the lives of those around her. This ideology comes not only from her history, but her mentor as well. Generally around new people she will be quite shy and attempts to keep herself as hidden as possible without being rude. Once she gets to know someone she blossoms into a friendly, playful, and curious kid. It can take some time though. No matter what though Yulie will not talk. To get past this barrier she is expressive with her body language, ears, face, and tail. There are times though where she gets stuck in the past; haunted by memories and nonexistent voices. When this happens she tends to isolate and try to stay clear of others. She does not want them to know that something is wrong. Not much of a talker (LOL), Yulie is a great listener and shoulder to lean on. Always one to want to know something sometimes her curiosity can get her into trouble.
  
  AppearanceUpon first glance may people think that Yulie is male. That is because of her preference for shorter hair and looser clothes. In reality she is female, but not particularly girly...and she is okay with that. Atop her head are two rounded, black & white spotted ears that sit atop black & white spotted hair that frame a small face. Cerulean orbs appear to gaze wisely and mistifyingly into a persons soul. Her body is slender and full of scars that can be described many ways. Sometimes they ache which is why she chooses to wear looser fitted clothing, it helps with not irritating some of them. Then at the base of her spine is where a long, muscular white with black spotted tail extends.

  BackstoryChimeras' of Yulie's type are not born, they are made. A dark witch named Tselner Maximovich--who most would call mad--was experimenting with humans and animals trying to create the perfect hybrid. So far his experiments were always flawed one way or another. Some were made with organs on the outside of their bodies while other lacked the conscience to do anything but wander around. Then came the experiment Yulie was part of. She was brought by Tselner when she was only one years old. Her mother had given birth out of wedlock and wanted the baby "taken care of." Little did she know the life this baby would live. During the experiment Teslner was not paying attention and did something different. To this day it still not know what it was, but suddenly he had created a hybrid between a human and a snow leopard. He dubbed her experiment #84. He raised experiment #84 until she was a young kid. He was consistently testing her intelligence and abilities. Honestly, Tselner never really cared for the girl, just what she stood for...his success. He was a cruel man who would put experiment in horrific and absurd ways. His favorite testing sessions were where he would starve the young girl for days and then let her loose on some helpless animals. It always became a bloodbath, and afterward experiment #84 would just curl up and ball for hours. There was no desire to hurt anyone, but she was so hungry. It was soon discovered what this mad witch was doing and experiment #84 was rescued and Tselner was put to death. When this happened they estimated her to be about five. For the next five years she lived with an older Witch named Oral. He was the one that named her Yulie. It took months for the trust to build between them, but once it did she blossomed. For another five years she happily lived with Oral, but never once did she say a word. Sometime she still had nightmares, but other than that those five years were the best of her life so far. She was able to learn some magic, as well as life and social skills. Unfortunately, Oral passed away of natural causes. The last thing he gave her was a black & white scarf. It is her most prized possession.
  
  Saddened, but encouraged by her promise to Oral, Yulie started to wander until she came upon an add for the Evergreen Circus. Having no where else to go, and nothing else to do, she managed to get a ticket to see the show. Little did she know that she would really be finding a home.
