Event #1: An Introduction to the World

Meanwhile, on the other side of town.
"...and that's when I was attacked. The tracking device must have tipped them off." X-metal was finishing the story of how he had gotten into this mess. People ocassionally stopped to gawk at the trio of superheroes loitering next to the Planetarian Statue but most just kept on their way. This kind of stuff was normal for residents. It was only the Tourists and the kids who were amazed.

"Hmmm..." Weaponary said. "If indeed those Weapons were being trafficked into the country illegally, then it would be good to find where they are being gotten from. Can you reverse engineer the tracking device?"

"Sure. I'll need to stop by my dorm room first to pick it up though. Also I'll need my tools and a bit of help coming up with an excuse to get out of classes."

As they spoke, Caleb was making his rounds. He usually stopped by the Planetary statue during his walks, and when he saw a group standing around it he had to go and see what was going on. It wasn't strange to see Supers just milling around, but as he got closer the topic of their conversation piqued his interest.

"Weapons? That wouldn't have anything to do with that bank robbery you stopped, would it, X-Metal?" he asked as he walked up to the group, folding his arms across his chest as he came to a stop. He offered a little nod to Weaponary, before his eyes turned to X-Metal again. Though his uniform wasn't exactly standard, it was still obvious he was a cop.

X-metal looked up. "Yes, actually." He said. "Why do you ask?"

Weaponary also looked up. The hero was vaguely familiar. She remembered him from the war. He was a good solider. They hadn't really interacted since Weaponary was mostly hanging out with the Legends. He was a cop now wasn't he? Yeah, he called himself Marshal. They still hadn't interacted much.

Caleb smirked slightly at X-Metal's casual answer, glancing over at Weaponary for a moment before looking back at him.
"Well, y'all ain't the only ones looking for where those weapons came from. If you're willing to do some of the legwork, I know I'd be willin' to meet ya halfway." he said, thinking.

"In fact, if you're needin' an excuse to get out of class, I could probably help with that right now. I'm sure I could send off an email that would get you off scot-free." He paused. "But, only if I can get your word that you won't do anything... foolish."

X-metal thought for a second and decided to answer in a half honest half joking manner. "If being foolish includes rushing in without a plan then I can only half promise." He went back to serious. Or rather went into serious mode. There was no back. He wasn't serious before. "All joking aside, once I reverse engineer that tracking device I'll follow your lead and try my bets not to do anything stupid."

Caleb laughed softly at that. "Okay, fine. I know there's nothing I can say to change your mind if you're gonna go do something stupid, but you need to know that this all runs a lot deeper than you realize." he said seriously.
"You can trust her with your life, though I'm sure you already know that. I heard about your little fight earlier with that samurai. When things get bad, don't be afraid to turn to her. She knows what she's doing. Most of the time."

He smirked a bit, sending her a sly wink. "So, you've got one of those blasters? You don't happen to have it on ya, do you?"

"Nope. It's back at my dorm room." X-metal said. "With the tracking device."

Weaponary thought for a moment and then turned to the human tirned robot beside her. "Do you have one?" She asked.

Lorelei was kind of unsure what to do. She was currently on top of a building near the Planetary Statue. She had been lurking around this area due to a vision she had, had half a week ago about some Supers having a discussion about some sort of weapon trafficking. That was pretty much the stuff she was supposed be looking out for. She hadn't said anything about it yet, because some of her visions just didn't come true. This one seemed real enough though. Now she was just unsure if floating down wearing a dark cloak would be the best entrance. She walked over to the edge of the building and hopped off, using her telekinesis to catch herself before she went splat on the ground. She walked over to the group of Supers.

"Um, oh flubbit... How do I say this? Would you happen to be talking about villains that may have to do with weapons trafficking?" Lorelei asked them

X-metal looked a bit surprised. His eyes widened a bit.

"Why is this such a common topic of conversation?" He questioned. It really didn't make sense. It was too contrived. Too coincidental. Too... something.

"Too odd?" Recondite said before realizing what she had done.

Oh dang it. She had just replied to what someone said in their mind. That's not really something most people did. Or simply could do. She was kind of panicking.

"Um, I-Well-Sorry, I kind of.... Read your mind?"

X-metal put his hand to his forehead. Mind reading now? He had to deal with so many things and now there was a telepath. How was that even scientifically possible. How did it work. Did it have to do with neural pathways. As quickly as a speedster X-metal's brain switched from annoyed to science nerd.

Snow Arrow (Yukiko Yukimura)

Yukiko had already made it to Centurion City via limo, where she had heard that was where almost all heroes reside or hang around in. The limo driver also acted as her guide, driving through each of the districts and various landmarks around the city.

"... and here is the Centurion City Hall. Next to it is the Planetarian statue. Planetarian wa--"

"--s crucial in forming Centurion City to what it is today." Yukiko finished his sentence, smiling at the city hall and the statue, as well as some people who are huddled near it, though she thought nothing of it.

"Alright, Miss Yukimura, we're heading back to the tourist district of the city. Your father booked the hotel suite just for you, and he sends his regards. He also said you can stay as long as you like, even after the mission is completed, until he says otherwise." The limo driver stated, before driving toward their intended destination.

Lorelei decided it was time to take her leave. And stop accidentally reading minds. It was kind of just a reflex at this point. She had come out to see if she could help, but there was already a Legend there. They probably didn't need help.

"Umm, I was just coming over to try to confirm I rumor that I had heard." A rumor... It wasn't the truth, but she did not want to explain being able to see the future. "And see if I could help, but I don't think I'll be needed. Bye"

Before anyone said anything she floated off back to her apartment.

The limo driver pulled up to the hotel, looking at the mirror showing Yukiko staring at the many attractions through the window.

"We are here, Miss Yukimura."

"Excellent." Yukiko wore her casual clothing, despite the formal looking hotel. The limo driver then stepped out himself, as a concierge came out to help with Yukiko's bags. However, the bag that held her uniform and weapons, she carried herself, while the other bags were taken by the other two men.

She stepped through the revolving door, and was mesmerised by the hotel's interior. She walked straight to the front desk, where they immediately recognised who she is, expecting her arrival as planned. A woman working at the front desk handed Yukiko the keys to the suite, before giving her the directions. As Yukiko moved to the elevators, the woman then called to her.

"Enjoy you stay, Miss Yukimura."

"Thank you!" She spoke confidently, though it appears that she is also happy to be here as well. But her mission came first. She will have to enjoy the pleasantries later.
