Hi! You can call me Filthy, Mud, or honestly whatever you'd like as long as it's hurled in my direction. As I mentioned, I'm new here. I've been roleplaying for zonks, but never on this site before - but, so far, I like what I see! Here's a lil' insight into the content you'll find below in this check:
β About Me - where you can learn about what kind of a writer I am
β Rules - what I expect from a writing partner
β Interests - what kind of plots and pairings I'm into
β Plots - any ongoing ideas I'd like to write.
If you're interested in writing with me, please send me a PM and do not reply below. Thank you! ^.^
β‘β‘β‘Iβll explain a little bit about me before I get to what Iβm wanting from a potential writing partner, just so that whoeverβs reading this knows what theyβre getting into. I've just returned from a year of travelling, so have found that I have a hell of a lot more free time than I'm used to. That being said, I do have a 9-5 job, so my replies will adhere to outside of those times. I live in the UK currently, so my timezone is GMT +1.
Iβm a female, a young woman, a girl, or whatever you wanna call it; and, as you may have already figured, I somehow always manage to say things using at least ten words when I couldβve only used two. I use the pronouns she/her, and would love to know your preferred pronouns to ensure we're both totally comfortable in how we communicate. When it comes to my writing ability, Iβd say Iβm pretty good. I mean, Iβm pursuing a career in writing, so Iβd like to hope Iβm good. I love really injecting character personality into my writing, as if itβs coming from their brain, and not just someone writing from the outside. Just to make things clear, though - I do write in third person and will not be changing this. My typical post length is roughly 500-1,000 words. Sometimes it's longer, sometimes it's shorter. I usually give out what I'm receiving from my partner, and what feels best in regards to what's happening in my writing. If it's a scene packed with action and dialogue, then my posts tend to be way longer. The more I have to work with, the more I write.
My characters are pretty much always flawed to some extent - normally more on the extreme side. I would much rather play an absolute psychopath than a girl-next-door. I tend to lean towards playing female characters, mainly because I am female, but I am open to otherwise. I am twenty-three years old and not afraid of some mature themes or scenes (blood, gore, drugs and uncomfortable topics are not an issue for me, but I understand if they are for you).

Okay so the boring stuff...
β Post length. Honestly, I'm really not too picky in regards to posting length. I know everyone says this, but quality over quantity means a lot to me. I'd much rather read a couple of paragraphs of emotive, engaging writing than have to endure 2,000 + words of utter boredom. Give me some decent, grammatically-correct story-telling and you're a dream come true.
β 3rd Person Narrative. This is probably my only rule that I won't bend on, third-person narrative (writing 'he/she did this...') is essential for me to write comfortably with you. Something about writing as your character makes me uncomfortable. Sorry if this is your preference.
β Platforms. While I do have Discord and kinda know how to use GoogleDocs, I would much prefer all roleplaying to take place via this site. Whether it's through PM's or as part of a thread is fine by me, but I am far more likely to reply to you on this site than elsewhere.
β Formatting. On that note, as you can probably tell, I like it when things look pretty. I could spend hours on coding, making my posts look nice with fun aspects to them. I don't expect the same from you, but a little bit of effort in regards to aesthetics goes a long way with me.
β Characters. Right. So. My biggest pet peeve? Boring, predictable characters. Please, for the love of God, do not come to me with a perfect character that can do no wrong. I hate them. Make them angry all the time, or give them an odd quirk. or two that sets them apart from everyone else. Actually give your characters character.
β OOC. I believe that a friendly, open-minded relationship is crucial to a successful roleplay partnership. I'd love to joke around with you, hear about your day, or even just chat about our characters or world-build together. I don't bite, promise! (on that note, I'm only interested in roleplaying with people 18+. No exceptions.)

Through some fault or other of their own, two heirs of feuding families (or kingdoms) have thrust themselves into a situation in which their heirs are forced to fake a relationship. The problem with this? They absolutely despise each other. Already cracking under the pressure of two overbearing families, a common enemy pops up when things cannot seem to get worse. They maintain this farce as if their lives depend on it. Because they do.
This plot is, quite possibly, my favourite. I already have a female character in mind to play for this one but you may be able to convince me with an alternative route if you plead your case particularly well. There's a lot of lee-way here - we can go down the route of two rival gangs in a modern-day city, or two feuding royal families looking to unite their rival kingdoms. Lots of world-building opportunities here!
The Gods are cruel, powerful beings so wrapped up in their own petty lives that sometimes it is hard for them to remember the fact that they have actual responsibilities. I'd love to take any one of the many Greek myths and write our take on it. Some of my favourites are Hades & Persephone (duh), Aphrodite & Ares/Hephaestus, Galatea & Acis - the list goes on! We could even go down a Percy Jackson - esque route and have our characters be the offspring of Greek Gods.
Typical zombie apocalypse. Our two characters are forced to team up to survive. There are so many threats out there : the undead, surviving the elements, other humans, and even themselves. What does a world like this do to a person? We can either start from the very beginnings of the apocalypse, or years into it. Totally up to you. Also doesn't have to be a zombie apocalypse - maybe its aliens, or just a total collapse of society in general?
Any kind of soulmate plot appeals to me. Gang-related soulmates? Platonic soulmates? Soulmates-that-see-through-each-other's-eyes soulmates? Awesome.
Character A - a spoilt, popular rich girl - finds herself falling into a deep depression after the death of someone close to her. Used to a world of privilege where everyone bows at her feet, she is sick of people treating like she will break any second. In comes Character B - rough, rougue-ish, and cutthroat with their honesty - they see past Character A's preening to the misery she is feeling underneath, and she resents them for it. What will come of this unlikely pair?
The best friend's brother - a classic tale of unrequited love as old as time itself. Has it been overdone? Yes. Can it get boring real fast? Yep. Do I still want to pour my heart and soul into the angsty-est, cringiest, juiciest slice-of-life romance like a shameless lil' teenage girl? Absolutely. God, this can go in so many directions. Hit me up hehe.
One of the only Canon x Canon plotlines I would ever go for. Dramione is my ultimate obsession. I just find myself going back to it time and time again. It's like some kind of addiction and I love it. Even if you've just read 'Breath Mints and Battlescars' or 'Manacled' and wanna fangirl over them with me, then shoot me a PM.
