Help Etiquette question

Deanu

I think I left the oven on
So as a noob here is there some kind of unseen etiquette I should be aware of before I dive in? Some basic "dos and don'ts"? Everyone I've interacted with has been nice so far but I kind of want to avoid the embarrassingly obvious noob aroma I may be putting out :ghostxnx:

Welcome to the Nation, Deanu Deanu !

The Official Site Rules are posted here.

Oh, I understand the rules and stuff but I'm talking more about unlisted site "habits". You know how awkward it is when your Grandma gets on facebook and tries to have a conversation on your public wall where everyone can see? I'm talking about avoiding something like that where it's not necessarily against the rules, but more so "out of the norm".

Well, speaking of conversations on public walls... ^;3^ When posting on profiles, or wanting to reply to someone else's post, remember there's a Reply button so you don't spam the section with one-liners!

Really though, as long as you're polite and all (and you seem to be so far), you should be good. Most of the roleplays are all a little different from each other anyway.

Take a look at the pet peeves discussion going on, should give you a fairly good idea of what people may see as "noobish". Maybe you can get a good laugh or two out of it! Deanu Deanu

The site tends to be very inclusive actually, not a lot to worry about in terms of unwritten rules. Just remember intent vs interpretation. Some of the biggest issues on the the site come mostly from misunderstandings or an unwillingness to acknowledge that someone didn't mean what you think they did. As long as you keep that in mind and not let others get a rise out of you then you'll make it just fine, there's a diverse cast of people here, a niche out there for everyone.
