Something that I was doubting out before also. Do the Anari already know that the Valar are indeed Angels? Or do we really start with a blank page?
 
In this case, all of the Anari are blind to the fact that Valar exist or the fact that they're even special at all. It will be up to the Valar to associate themselves with their Anari smoothly, without scaring them off or making themselves seem insane.

Aha, I think so. I'm not sure the original reservee will be joining us, as he/she wasn't sure to start. I'll say it's open for you then, since we can't wait forever!
 
Hey guys, making progress on the Bond Levels and spells and such. Hopefully by the time we find enough players it'll be done. Just checking in to see that everyone's still here and willing to play! It might take a bit to find people...
 
Just a question about the spells and such. Are we only able to use those you list? Since I was thinking about water and ice shields (strenght of it depending on the bond level and such). Also because the Angels/Valar are able to use magic without their Anari so it would be a bit weird if you have learned all about weilding your power for the past 600 years and still are only able to use a bit of splashing water only because your bond isn't that strong. I was more thinking about the strenght of the spells increasing. Like at the first level they would only be able to call on one ice spike, while at the second level these would be three. Or in the first levels the ice shards wouldn't be as strong (as in only damaging on direct skin contact).
 
Well, the problem isn't the knowledge of the spell. The Valar, presumably, have been training for hundreds of years to master their art. The problem occurs when you consider the fact that they've been cut of from Heaven, the only source of their powers, for centuries. Because the group of Valar on Earth never made contact with their Anari early on, they've been without a source of power and they've been gradually losing the ability to conjure their magicka.


This is where the bond comes in. The bond doesn't represent knowledge, the Valar already have that. Instead, the bond represents the power to exist. Without a strong bond, Valar who have been cut out from Heaven will eventually die due to the energy decay. It is up to your characters to rebuild that bond and strengthen yourselves before being able to really see any major improvements in power levels.


Also, it'd be no fun if you could go ahead and light the enemies on fire right away. Remember, combat isn't the only way Valaranari pairs can strengthen bonds.

No, then I was thinking the right way. And don't worry about taking long. I know how stressful roleplay managing can be as I am currently also hosting one that takes a lot of managing.
 
Yeah, I'd like to get at least ONE more pair before starting, plus we still need an Anari for one of the elements.


 
Quick question: As thread owner, can I delete posts on the In Character Roleplaying tab?
 
Ideally, we are able to find five more people who would like to play. Really, all we need is to get back on the front page, but we can't do that without a post in the In-Character tab, as far as I'm aware...

Sure. My character is disloyal so it would make sense it would take a while to meet his Anari anyway. :)
