Her eyes coldly landed on the boy, "Seems like the newest locks didn't work on you again Shaiden." Unfourtanly she had gotten used to this boy showing up at random, it seemed he could get out of anything they put him in including the tanks.

"no, they did not!" he smiled back at her cold look, he had gotten used to it and found it fun how much he frustrated her. he turned to Dr. Kane

“Don’t do anything too troublesome, Shaiden,”

"I won't" he actually liked Dr. Kane and found him nice.

"So has there ever been a spot where you couldn't get out over, I have no reports of such so i ask out of curiosity."

he actually thought hard about this, he had a good memory "none that i can think of no". he looked at all the files and took a paper and looked at it curiously then put it back and followed her outside. he heard some commotion turned directions towards the noise. he walked into where the cages were kept, he had only been kept in a cage for a week before he made his first escape, after less than a month it was proved that cages were useless so he had few memories of the place. he saw a girl in her cage crying, he didnt know her which was odd but he ran a mental analysis trying to match her to a record which he had memorized most of when he had snuck into the records room. Brianna. thats dr. clarefrees daughter. no wonder i dont know her, ive seen her a couple of times but never had the chance to interact, i think dr. clarefree doesn't want me knowing her. he walked up to her cage and looked inside "hi! im Shaiden. you're Brianna right? are you okay"

Annabelle closed her eyes, she knew it would affect her condition but it was worth a try to re-live what happened long ago...

when mother refused they took her by force, my father was scared and tried to stop them but then...
they shot him.
I watched them take mother away into the car, I ran after it without thinking...

I recently got told that I need to learn how to work well with others if I want to surpass where I am now... help better my team,"

Gen smirked after listening to her and he laughed a bit after she mentioned an experiment getting too hurt after battling. Though something in his head made him put that smirk away instantly. “Who is Arachnid fighting tomorrow?”

Shaking his head from the thought he heard her mentioning surpassing something, his eyes traced back on he. He didn’t say anything though.

“Oh okay glad to know I don’t smell bad. His scent is strong unless he’s able to hide it easily and the sounds his body emits he won’t be that hard. I can sniff him out, and experiments with Echolocation will have a better chance. Using sound from an object to see where it is or what it’s doing. I told my father to stop with bat dna on experiments. It’s dangerous to have that trait especially if you’re a skilled fighter and figure out how to utilize it...” He paused and sighed. “I want to know Kane’s goal. Is it just to trick the experiments?”

Walking down the halls they took a different path this time stopping by the cafeteria. Ordering some food Gen looked back at Tempest.

“Want anything? It’s on me.” He offered the female Chaser.

Tempest listened to Gen quietly. The man did have a point, Kane wouldn't be so hard to track due to his particular scent. But even then he could indeed hide it in order to have the upper hand in any sort of battle. As Gen continued to talk about other ways it'd be possible for someone to find the man she noticed they were changing course. Instead of heading straight to the holding area where the experiments were, the two of them were instead headed to the cafeteria meant for the staff.

When he asked if she wanted something to eat she glanced over at one of the scientist from earlier, recognizing them as the one who collected her venom. As the two made eye contact Tempest pointed at her mask. Her way of asking the man to unlock it. With a slightly manic grin he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small device, hitting a button on it before the familiar beeping was heard. "I wouldn't mind a sandwich," Tempest commented as she slipped her now free mask off. Though she was a bit confused as to why Gen was being kind to her, she simply brushed it off More worried about food now that they were here.

How many days had it been, when she hadn't had any freedom of her own....
Why were all these people even here?

Serena let out a small squeak when Toshi came out of nowhere and picked her up carrying her to his cage, "T-toshi i'm not sure that we can be like this..." She blushed slightly when he nipped her ear but at his words her heart ached. If he was against her then how would this work, she froze a bit before pushing against his chest. Her emotions were so messed up right now, she was happy to be with him but her thoughts they remained on the crew. This place was no place for them to live no matter what Kane tried to promise them. They were still treated like animals in cages and in her mind that wasn't living and the children...they deserved better. And if she ever had children...if she even could she definitely didn't want them in here, for all she knew they would decide to use her and the others as breeders. She closed her eyes, no she wouldn't let that happen they had all suffered way too much. When her eyes opened once more they were pure feline, "If that's the way it's going to be then i want back in my own cage. If you have to turn on everyone else for us to be together then i dont want that." She said her voice faintly trembling as she did her best to overcome her feelings for him. She liked him even though he was wild, he made her feel safe...but if she couldn't trust that safety then what was the point of staying with him.

Helen sighed, "No need to tell me the Din, it's been a long enough time since his passing." She turned as Din asked about the poison, "Per Kane's request the production of it stopped and it was archived. Plus I was thinking of doing such since I saw no reason for having it around anymore. In that time we already had other means for making the experiments suffer. As for Annebelle well...I am still unsure of her but with Kane I think we can handle him. He seems to be loyal to us and he helps keep the experiments under control. Though I do keep an eye on that and I have been having someone try to keep an eye on Ara and also trying to get their hands on the antidote for her poison." She moved closer to Din, cupping his face so he couldn't look anywhere else but at her. A slight smirk on her face, "Din take a breath and stop worrying so much, it will get you nowhere but being jittery. We have ran this place for a long time and that is not about to change. We have kept our experiments and chaser under control, even a few other experiments and chasers that weren't even our own. We've got this okay?"

Nodding after Tempest mentioned she wanted a sandwich as he asked the person for their meals and the man nodded and wrote the order down. Looking back at Tempest he seen her mask was off.

“How do you feel about Dr. Clarefree, my father, and other scientists?” He asked her this question while handing her a cup and walking off to the soda machine. Putting his cup under the faucet as he chose sprite and watched the soda pour down into the cup seeing the bubbles pop.

“This “Kingdom” will slowly tremble to Kane’s plan....” Gen looked at his cup to see if his legion with Kane was the right idea.

His cup started to overflow from him getting lost in thought as he stopped the machine from pouring.

“Helen...” Din sighed from hearing her response. She was hiding something from him and he could tell. Why wasn’t she seeing the bigger picture? Things are a little out of hand and she’s not considering it. Feeling her hands lay on his skin he stayed quiet and closed his eyes listening. Taking a step back he took the packet and put it in his pile of research. Pushing his glasses up the reflection from the light covered his eyes.

Picking his stuff up he took his leave from her office walking off back to his. A couple of friends waved at him as he did the same for them. Continuing his walk he reached his office after some time. Unlocking the door by putting the code in it he stepped in and the door closed behind him. Din placed the pile on his desk then took a deep breath taking his glasses off his face. Why is she acting so clueless? There’s a possible threat amongst us..

Looking at his computer Din sat in the computer chair as he begun to work again. Pulling out a small flash drive he took from Helen’s office. Putting the memory card in the motherboard he was able to access old files. Especially the last escape reports. Din needed answers and he would do anything in his power to do so.

Sure she found some of his body language forced, but the only time she notices it is when times are stressful,but he didn’t seem like an awful person on the outside at least. “Why Kane and not someone like Arachne?” She asked in sign hoping they’d answer, no matter how much she knew the answer would be unlikable.

The clanking of metal filled the hallway as Vermilion continued his track towards Dr. Clarefree’s office. He had been delayed serval times on his way ranging from, having to reprimand a couple of chasers after they suddenly attacked an experiment he passed by, observing the ongoing construction, and even having to reread his report for accuracy. His march continued onward until he came upon his destination, only to pass by Dr. Takeshi. Odd, he usually doesn’t storm out like this on his beloved Clarefree, something must have gone terribly awry for the man, but Vermilion has no time to wonder about this as he approached the open door. “Excuse my tardiness doctor, but I have the report on my observations of the escapees.”

Helen rubbed her eyes as she watched Din leave, she knew he was right but worrying about it truly would not get them anywhere. She groaned slightly but looked up as Vermilion showed up, "You are fine Vermillion...please just tell me you are not here to get on to me about the what ifs. Honestly, it's giving me a headache and I still need to call up scientists and set up combat matches for tomorrow." She sat back in her chair before looking back to Vermilion when it was about those who had tried escaping. Ah yes she had asked him to watch over those who had made the attempt and see how it went, which way they tired heading. That way they could keep it jotted down for any other future attempts also to make sure none of them actually made it... It was odd to the raven haired woman that her fellow chaser was being rather kind towards her, and perhaps a bit considerate in her opinion. Normally the chasers were just tolerant of one another, if not ticking each other off. As he asked how she felt about the scientists she slowly took the cup he was offering. "What an interesting question," she mumbled softly as she followed him to the drink machine, "I tolerate them I guess.... the fact that I'm not a test subject anymore makes it a bit better..... but I'll never truly like them... as for your father..... he seems a bit scatterbrained and has his priorities mixed when it comes to certain things from what I've observed..." Memories of her past as an experiment flashed through mind, causing her to flinch minorly.

It was some of the darker years of her. Only after she climbed the ranks to head-chaser as the scientists wanted did she get the respect that she wanted. After the end of the constant experimenting on her did she feel safe, but it didn't stop the nightmares she had. Not that she'd let anyone know that. Tempest strove to be what she was made for and grew to be what they had wanted. When they made it to the machine she stepped to the side and filled her cup with water. "What abou-" before she could finish her question she looked over at Gen as his cup started over flowing. It was odd that he hadn't really noticed the Sprite flooding over his hand.

Tempest silently moved closer to Gen as she grabbed a napkin from a napkin dispenser nearby. Picking the man's soda drenched hand up she started drying it off, "You don't seem to be the type to allow soda to make your hands sticky..." she mumbled softly as her red orbs met Gen's golden ones.

"Serena..." Toshi placed his hands on hers, not sure of what to say at the moment, he knew very well who was planning what but couldn't say or rather wouldn't tell Kane. Looking down sadly as he he stood up and hugged her gently "if that is what you wish, but just so you know I wouldn't have turned anyone in....I'd much rather be a test subject than let the little ones or you stay here any longer...." releasing Serena he stepped away from the door and back from her, his heart wrenching in his chest, the feeling of going on a rampage filling his mind. She walked over to him wrapping her arms around him, "Toshi...I...im sorry just some things Kane said put me on edge." She pressed her face into his chest, "I didn't mean to hurt you with my words, I just...I can't stand this place no matter what promises Kane makes. No matter what he may have done for the experiments, he is still a Chaser and that will never change. But i still shouldn't have doubted you, can you forgive me on that part at least." She pulled back slightly looking up to him her eyes back to normal soft with affection and worry.

Kane walked out of his office and made his way down the hall. As usual, he greeted the experiments warmly as he passed by. He greeted Serena and Toshi when he passed by. He continued along the way, passing Dr. Clarefree's office, and moving closer to Din's. Kane wasn't as interested in the other maker scientist as much as he was interested in Dr. Clarefree but ignoring him would be unwise. With changes abound, Kane could feel power hanging in the balance. No doubt Din would do his best to influence what he can and to Kane, that may pose a problem. He needed to continue smoothly. Ensnare more and more chasers under his leadership, develop his own.. research, and snuff out anything ideas the experiments might have of escape. Kane was well aware that rats could be anywhere. He, himself, acted sympathetic to the experiments. He knew how easy it would be for others to act the same way, except they mean it. One misstep and his world falls apart. All Kane needed to do was make sure he was always the one pulling the strings. That meant there were no exceptions. Kane knocked on Dr. Takeshi's door. "Dr. are you there? It's Kane Athrakin."

Seeing that Serena had returned he finally stopped thinking as he watched and listened she gave her introduction to everyone. He was just happy she was fine now where was Serena at? This day seems a lot is going on especially shady business. Kiono closed his eyes and thought of the outside world as he imagined it. The scenery looked a lot like his father’s office. Orange floor with some dead some living trees, And a river.

The couple was arguing as it snapped him out of his dream.

“How is that right? You should’ve never made that deal with that slimy bastard.”

Kiono glared at the cage with Toshi and Serena then closed his eyes sighing.

“Can this day end already?”

Gen broke out his thought as a soft cloth rubbed against his hand as he then met eyes with Tempest. For a minute he locked eyes with her pausing for a bit and looked away taking a sip from his soda.

“Thank you.”

"You don't seem to be the type to allow soda to make your hands sticky..."

Gen walked to a table and sat down waiting for her to join him and he sighed. Looking at the cup of soda Gen watched each bubble. Gen then looked back at Tempest.

“How do you think the order is crumbling?”

“Dr. Clarefree Experiment #1738 was a success and is showing good vital ratings. Known abilities is camouflage and a weird... transformation? It seems his skin sheds and his exoskeleton is free. Inner bones seem to come out as weapons for him. Oh no.... It’s happening again!” In the background the boy was transforming like Mr. Clarefree was stating before the event. The boy started banging on the glass from the tube starting to crack it until he turned the electricity on to stop the boy. Some more talking about the subject and the description of the choice of animals.

Din paused the video taking his glasses back off wiping his eyes with a tissue. “What in the world were you thinking...?” Din heard knocking at his door as he jumped a bit closing out all the files opened from the flash drive and took it out the motherboard placing it in his pocket.

“Come in!” He shouted pushing his glasses back on his face.

Kane opened the door slowly. He offered a smile and a nod to Dr. Takeshi when he walked into his office. "How are you, doctor?" he asked in greeting. Kane closed the door behind him and turned towards the man. He sat down. "I've been meaning to get to know you better, Dr. Takeshi," Kane said. "But, you know, what with the previous escape attempt, and all the changes going on." Kane folded his hands on his lap. "I hope I haven't bothered you in the middle of anything," Kane said.

Turning away from Gen she tossed the used napkin in a nearby trashcan, grabbing her own cup that was now filled with water. Looking around she noticed that Gen was now sitting at a table by himself. She got the feeling he was waiting for her to join him, so the red eyed girl walked over. Pulling out the chair that was across from her fellow chaser before sitting down.

"The order is crumbling?" Tempest raised a brow as she tilted her head a bit in confusion, "I don't think I completely understand the question.." What did he mean that the order was crumbling? If it was it'd be difficult for her to tell the difference since today was one of the rarer occasions that she didn't spend the entire day in her quarters or the training room. Though as she thought about the events that happened so far today, Tempest leaned back in her chair a bit. Eyes looking upwards towards the ceiling. "I guess that Kane seems to have Clarefree under his thumb..... especially if he's able to get all those promises he made to Serena... use being kinder... moving experiments to be closer to others.... getting that baboon's shock collar removed to make him happy.... things do seem to be slipping through the cracks a bit...…" looking over at Gen she sat straight, eyes set on him as he stared at his drink, "But I what do I know? I normally don't get out of my room much.... or wander the halls as much as I have been... my opinion is based on the things I saw today...."

Din watched the man closely and laughed a bit. His glasses wasn’t pushed up anymore as he listened to Kane.

“Although you don’t bite no man comes to visit another he never met before unless he needed something. So what is it that brings you here to “get to know me” Kane? If you want to see my recent work though..... I can’t help but to flex a little bit!”

Din laughed and twirled his chair around as he looked at his files and opened the one of his new possible experiment. He then pulled up more side slides of the hidden project then turned to Kane.

Looking up to Tempest after watching the bubbles pop in the soda he glared at her. “I will take you out more, you’ll understand what I mean a lot more when you’re exposed to your environment.” He told her while sipping from his cup.

Looking over his shoulders he noticed there was few eating but as well as a few faking trying to listen on the conversation. Getting out of his chair he picked up to sit side by side with Tempest. This way no one can hear what he saying.

“Why do you think Kane is starting this for? Why now after all this time? I don’t plan to object because I hate these lesser men as much as you do. Though I worry for my father. What will happen if he gets caught in the trap as well? Then at that point I will have to step in and tear someone apart.”

Watching scientists walk by listening or not he made sure to whisper clear enough for Tempest to hear. Gen heard their food ready and his ears jumped so did his body jetting out of his chair and heading to get their food. Bringing the trays back he sat back down by her.

Kane smiled and listened patiently to Din. When he asked Kane, once more why he was here he only replied, “Just to get to know you.” Then Din asked him about evolution. Kane was quick to answer. “Evolution? Evolution is progress. Another step towards the perfect form,” Kane looked at Din. “I sense some excitement. What have you discovered?” Kane leaned forward, interested with what Din had to say.

Turning back around he begun typing as well as scrolling as a camera view on a pod though it was dark till he flipped the switch and noticed a doctor was finishing up paperwork.

“How’s it looking gary?”

“It’s going good he’s regenerative system is still slow but it’s sure happening.”

“Add some Starfish while you at it Gary. Please and thank you dear old friend.”

Din then left the camera view and opened up the database of the new experiment.

“Have you ever seen evolution first hand? Like personally?”

Kane’s interest was peaked. “Oh my...” he muttered. For a moment, he actually looked excited. A glint of wonder flashed I his eye as he watched the camera. “Regenerative DNA.. starfish..” Kane made mental notes of it. It was genius. “I must say Dr. Din. I’m astounded at your innovation,” Kane smiled. He watched with a child-like curiosity as the events unfolded. “I have yet to see evolution happen in real time. I’m certainly happy to be getting to know you, Doctor. It seems I’ve been missing a part of the world in only conversing with you now. What do you have in store?” Kane asked, looking back at Din.

“I am trying to manipulate more then the generic two or three. I want to stack them to be a... ULTRA CHASER!!” He stood up pushing his glasses up so the glare covers his eyes. Letting out a sigh he sat back down. Looking at the database he sighed. “Yet the more I add theirs mutations added.... I haven’t told Dr. Clarefree yet but. I hope you be respectful enough to keep that between us. I’m going to find a way to cure it. Though I am half way there.. I have to say that another project I’m working on could... be my release from hell..” Din stated with a serious but shaky tone.

He turned his head and smiled to Kane. “What do you have to offer? I have questions for you as well.”

Kane watched intensely as he listened to Din. "Very fascinating work. I've done some private work on my own in the hopes of understanding the work you and Dr. Clarefree do, but this.. I can't even begin to imagine," Kane said with a congratulatory smile. "Don't worry, my lips are sealed. I've never let a single secret about the experiments slip. It's comforting to know that you can truly trust a friend. I wouldn't want to steal the credit from your work," Kane said. He then looked at Din when he talked about being released from this hell. He raised an eyebrow, then looked around his desk for any photos. "Is there someone in particular you're doing this for? Someone you care about?" Kane asked, cautiously. He looked lost in thought for a moment. "I lost both of my parents to an illness when I was very young. I was an orphan for some time after they were gone... I feel like maybe your research here could have saved them," Kane clenched his jaw, doing his best to maintain his composure. Then he looked at Din once more with a look of gentle gratitude. "Thank you for your work. I have no doubt you can save thousands, if not millions, with your discoveries."

“What Experiments?”

Din listened to Kane explaining his story. A surprise that his maker didn’t erase that memory for emotional reasons. He looked at the screen to wonder if he can trust the man he was suspicious of. Though he knew whatever he said Kane could use against him later in life. He decided to stay silent for some time then finally opened his mouth.

“It’s for a friend in the lab that put a particular request...” He stated with a shaky voice again realizing who he was talking about. To break the silence he cleared his throat.

“What is your loyalty towards Dr. Helen and myself now that you got to know me? What do you see in this facility? There’s many other maker scientists you could’ve got to know. What do you do on your alone time?” Kane’s answer would determine if Din will talk a little more or not.
