We would like to thank you on the behalf of the International Unions Special Projects for your full discretion about any details regarding Planetary Promise. Due to your highly advanced skillsets, you have been selected by your head Councilman to serve the Special Projects Division. Your services will be highly compensated upon return to Earth.
A secured home for you and immediate family members within the High City Villas, all living, and essential expenses fully paid, will be available to move in for your immediate family on your Earth departure day. Details about the mission ahead will be disclosed in person after arriving to our facility. Any questions that may arise will be answered there as well.
We ask that you bring the identification number provided to you at the end of this letter. Do not loose this number as the trip to the facility is only covered via identification number.
We ask that you only pack the bare necessities. Uniforms, food, and essential products will be provided by the U.S.P. for the duration of the mission, however we still ask that you bring up to three changes of basic clothing, and any personal choice in hygiene products, if any. Once you board the ship, there will be no care packages. Please keep your bags under 20 pounds. Your carry-on will be weighed before entering the facility.
We have arranged for a private taxi to arrive at your private address on:
April 25th, 2562
Further briefing about the details of this mission shall be given shortly after arrival to the main facility as they are highly confidential. The I.U appreciates your contribution and forwardly thanks you for your services and time. Enjoy the complimentary dinner voucher provided for you and your family with this letter for any place of your choice before departure. Please use this voucher before you depart to the main facility, as it cannot be used on facility property.

Divisions are basically the equivalent of a Massive city. Each Division has tunnels leading off to sectors, similar to what a county would be.
The Earth has been dying for a long time and inhabitable conditions is drawing closer and closer. Wild vegetation has gone extinct, except for what has been saved and brought below ground for cultivation. Anything food bearing or highly medicinal was brought below, various trees and bushes, some grasses and flowering plants. Anything for decoration is costly. Trees are often planted throughout Divisions, each one having at least one small park.
High City is the capital of the International Union. Despite the name, this is a massive city that has been built beneath the surface. The main dome stretches for at least 50 miles with taller then sky scrapper ceilings, massive tunnels leading to other smaller domes known as Sectors, usually numbered in name. The entire place has artificial suns in each dome. However the tunnels, or highways, are left with basic lighting, if any. This is the "place to be". Protected from the dangers above ground and is home to many of the wealthier peoples. It is possibly the cleanest place on Earth, and has a thriving economy despite the rest of Earths condition. The High City Villas are home to the wealthiest, doctors, politicians, scientists, entertainers, anyone who has the money to afford the most expensive place to live on Earth.
Most wild fauna have gone extinct except for a few smaller highly adaptable species such as, racoons, rats, dogs, cats, ect. Even rodents have even began dying off, however massive hordes of them can still be found in the slums of cities. It is best to steer clear of these as over half are often disease carriers.
Livestock and farming have their own Divisions dotted across the world. Each one has specific Divisions they distribute the food too, and the amounts are heavily monitored.
Not every rain shower is acidic, but acid rain often beats down on the Earths dusty surface and the air is nearly toxic most days, requiring filtration masks on high risk days. People stricken with poverty struggle on the surface while the wealthy burrow safely below the dirt.
Old Earth: Referring back to when Earth was still highly inhabitable, usually the years before 2255. Foliage and fauna still occupied the surface. Water and streams ran clean. Mankind had won the battle against global warming, and revived Earths natural state. Cities and towns had merged and became integrated with nature instead of against it. Slowly life began coming back, but it was a painfully slow process. Life remained peaceful for nearly 200 years, but came to an abrupt end over greed of resources. Bombs were dropped without warning. War broke out and after many disruptions to old nuclear plants and natural disasters, the planet was worse off then before. This did not stop the greed. It wasn't until the International Union completely took over in 2467 that the war ended, and man burrowed beneath the surface.
Mars
Earth often sends Mars care packages of supplies to keep the biodomes operational and tolerable. In return, Mars exports valuable ores mined near Delta-4.
Please feel free to make suggestions or alter these positions, as long as there is some reasoning for being on an Alien planet.
Researcher
"It will be important to observe the geography of Xenos, and if possible, create a detailed map of explored areas. Observe and collect rock and minerals. Report back any special or unusual findings, especially if they could be valuable resources for civilization." Anything alive will also be under your jurisdiction. Plants, animals, bacteria, you might be the busiest on the team as I expect everything to be alien. I cannot expect you to cover every single leaf and blade of grass, however finding edible local foods and what is poisonous will be much more valuable information to gather."
Security (one or two)
"It is expected that we will run into some issues. If there is wildlife on Xenos, then it's possible there will be something trying to kill everyone, if not everything. The ship has been packed with some... heavy artillery, which I think you will find something to your liking. Keep everyone safe."
Doctor
"Despite the highly advanced medical room built into the ship, robot arms and readings cannot detect everything. We need human eyes on the team to ensure utmost health. Physically and mentally. We would like for you to see if any of the collected plant data has medicinal values. It would be ideal to work closely with the biologist. Don't worry, you will be in the field with the others and not stuck in the ship the entire time."
Pilot
"Guide the ship to Earths outer atmosphere, and make sure everyone is settled into their Cryogenic beds, engage the auto pilot and settle into a chamber bed yourself. The NOX System will automatically disengage yours and the Commanders sleep when you are close to Xenos. We have a targeted location in mind that seems ideal for gathering information for your crew. Please bear in mind that you are the one who will take everyone home, so be careful."
Commander <taken by me>
"The one barking the orders and responsible for keeping everyone safe. Get everyone there in one piece, and bring them back the same. No missing digits or limbs. The success of this mission rides on your shoulders, Commander."
Base Plot A team goes to an alien planet, in search of suitable conditions for human life. The team will be there for 5 months. The trip will take 5 years one way. A ten year round-trip flight. The information collected is crucial, determining if humans can move planets.
Landing didn't go as planned. An issue arises in the engines and they come down hard. The exterior research vessel which was to record and report any data to earth parted from the main ship and crash landed in another location. Despite a hard landing in the ship, it's systems are still operational. Research can go as planned, minus the luxury of the multi terra vehicle.
A late season Superstorm brews on the horizon, and despite efforts to prepare for it, the crew couldn't have possibly ever estimated the power of the storm. The ship's exterior doesn't seem to be in the greatest condition, and communication to Earth has been lost. Their best hope is to find the downed vessel in order to regain communications with earth.
Posting Length I don't expect chapters for posts. As long as there is some contribution made to the happenings, I won't complain. I do expect at LEAST one to two paragraphs minimum.
Mature Expect cussing, drinking, blood and detached limbs, and other mature themes. These are adults who are stranded on an alien planet lightyears away from home, with no communications.
Romance This is acceptable, but not the theme. If you and another user would like to form some relation between the characters, all I see is extra dynamic.
Timing between Posts I work a lot and have very little spare time. Saying this, I won't be mad if a round of posts can take up to a month to complete. Ideally, once a week is the goal. Realistically, life isn't like that and things happen; the fantasy world can be adjusted or paused. Communication every now and then is appreciated, mostly because, believe it or not, I care and think about the people I RP with. So hearing from you is a sign that you're still kickin and tells me if you're still on board or not.
Ghosting After one full month of ZERO contact, I will refill the role or remove it depending. I will send a message or two to check in before moving on.
LGBQA+ There is nothing wrong with this. If you have views against anyone from this community, I ask that you refrain from applying to this RP simply for the face that I am apart of this. I want everyone to be able to be respectful with each other.
Earth and Xenos Feel free to add things to this universe. Especially with Xenos, it is a completely foreign and unexplored planet. Imagination is unlimited. I will guide certain details on important geography and fauna, but I would like it to be known that contributing details to the world around is encouraged. A "dictionary" can be kept for things we want to be canon, if it is referred to often or is important.
