Hi! Before you continue reading, there are a few things I feel the need to adress.
• Firstly, I intend for this to be a long-term rp–now, not a few years, but at the least a few months. This being said, it's not supposed to be overly fast paced either (due to people having classes, jobs, etcetera).
• Post length doesn't really matter to me, but it should be noted that anything far too long may be hard to respond to, and anything far too short may also be hard to respond to, depending on the situation.
• There will be a plot to follow and there will be some things your characters can't flat out avoid. Of course, there will be some freedom as well, but yeah... don't stray too far out. It should also be known that any plot/arc/event suggestions are welcome!
• Lets all be social with one another while being in this RP! Being active in the ooc is practically a must.
• You don't need to decorate your posts with bbcode or make it all "aesthetic". You can if you want to, but as long as the words are legible and it's not too difficult to read it's a-ok. Plus...
• it's undecided if this will be held here on rpn, on discord, or google docs. It really just depends on the opinion of those who decide they're going to join.
moving on...
Video games have a come a long way since they first started to appear. Nowadays, there are many people who enjoy a good few hours on their favorite game, perhaps even more...
About a year and a half ago, a new MMORPG called "Warriors of Soul: Eternal Flight" (or, as people like to call it, WoS) was released by a minor company that quickly gained recognition for it's high-end realistic graphics and seemingly endless amounts of enjoyable content despite its recent debut. There are many kinds of players, too, ranging from the cosmetic junkie to the try-hard types that you'll find in almost every game. One of the game's major points is the fact that there's a global server that everyone from all over the world can play in (main language being english)!

The game recently (recently meaning earlier that day) finished undergoing an extreme update which added loads of unfamiliar and cool content. This is the second time it has happened. As it is a weekend in the middle of a blazing hot summer (or blazing cold winter for those in the southern hemisphere), many people worldwide are in their homes on the game, or are planning to get on as soon as they get off from work.
As more and more people begin to log on, they start doing what they normally do–hang out with their friends or try and level up while poking at the new content. However, at midnight, everything goes dark.
When people come to, they find that they're still in the game. Which, you know, is great, but what were those few minutes of blackout supposed to be? Nothing like that had ever happened before in WoS' 1.5 years of running but supposedly every game has its glitches. It was cool and all until people started getting tired and wanting to go to bed only to find that the 'log off' button in the menu was no longer working. Or rather, no longer existed. It was then when people began to realize that the world seemed a whole lot more real, and that they no longer looked like their avatar.
//NOTE: the rp will start about an hour before the blackout happens. The game isn't originally a VRMMORPG. //
Overall? Try to survive. There wasn't much else information known about the situation other than the fact that everyone was now living, breathing in the WoS world and that they looked like their IRL selves. They could still access things like their inventory or their friends list, and everything there remained the same–as did their skills and levels. But now, the main concern was making it to the outside world. Gossip has spread around like a wildfire that someone's HP depleted and they haven't yet respawned, which only made the whole thing worse.
• The plot will ultimately lead to the characters finding a way out.
• There will be many events and smaller plots that will either get in the way of their end goal or push them in the right direction.
• It's not guaranteed that every character will still be alive by the end.
• Players have a main class and a sub class. These determine their skills.. Main classes are usually what they use in relation to combat (healer, warrior, etc) while sub classes are "life skills" (blacksmith, etc). (I won't make up all the skills but please try to be reasonable)
• The game system is still a WIP
• Despite the rp being based on anime, ideal appearances of characters would be either: a real person, a realistic illustration, or a description. (if you're interested but have a problem with this then we can try to work it out.)
