Sorry my own character is taking my full brain capacity right now xD
I have nothing against it being a full moon, if anything, it makes for a better ambiance for a werewolf attack.

That's my point. It would spread out some of figuring stuff out, which sounds more interesting than figuring everything out at once for the purpose of storytelling, imo.
 
So, here's the system I think I like. Nate would have 100 mana points, that reset on a daily basis or with long rests, and maybe some could be regained through meditation. So his spell costs would be such:
30 for the master spells, both the same. 10 for an ice pike, 20 for a thunder strike. 10 for ice mist, 20 for healing mist because it has to take 10 from both Nate and Elre ( I'll make his own list and costs later but he's just a healer anyway ). 10 for zap, 5 for water gun.
Any attempt to repeat a spell twice in a row would cost 50% more on the second cast. A disrupted spell costs 50% of its price.

For the passive: manipulating or freezing a small quantity of water like he did with the statue is free. Handling more water, say enough to fill a tub, would cost 5 to 10 mana depending on the intended move. More than that would be "proportional" to the quantity.
If that sounds fair for everyone ?

Honestly, stuff like a mana counter shouldn't really matter, as we're more focusing on telling a story than anything.
 
it's not super logical to have the advanced ice spell cost as much as the basic lightning. But lightning is probably more efficient than ice, and harder to dodge/repell, so I guess it makes sense ?

I agree, but I don't want to ever feel like I'm broken, or limiting myself for the fear of being broken.
 
I'm on the same page. Keeping track of Koran's HP for example would get tedious. Just to give you guy an idea though- when I played this character at our table top game in a modern setting, we did the calculations and he's capable of falling out of a plane at 30,000 feet and surviving (barely) the crash to the ground at terminal velocity. XD

In case anyone missed what I said before: I am fully prepared for Koran to lose this fight by needing to retreat. But you will need to work for it :P Telling the story is the point, not out fighting any of you as players. Hopefully y'all will have fun with my punching bag of a character :)

Ya no, but there are a few stories of men surviving such falls. Mostly because of where they fell, like soft trees where the branches could take out some of their speed, and then falling on a bed of deep powdery snow

Aaaahhh. Yeah, I mean hitting flat earth at terminal velocity. No cushion. I'm pretty sure he blacked out tho. XD

Yeah, and the one story I remember, poor Brittish aviator ended up spending a year or two in German interogators company, having been mistaken for a spy. Not a super nice outcome.


Sooooo No one has yet showed any problem with my system. I guess I will get to my post then !
 
At this time of day, probably not a lot :) I've gotten the impression from how quiet it gets after 7 or so that I'm one of the few in this group on the pacific coast. Maybe not tho. I should be able to start on a reply soon.
