Backstory: Seppo grew up in Finland and had already at an early age decided that he owuld be working in the military. The year he turned 18 he was called to his conscription in the Finnish defence force and got picked as a guerilla sniper. Once his conscription ended, he applied for a job position in the military and got the same role he had. When the aliens attacked, Seppo travelled all the way to the US to join XCOM.

Approved for duty, trooper! As a Rookie, seeing as you've previously specialized in sniping and guerilla tactics, you will be assigned a standard M-60 bolt-action Sniper Rifle (7.62x51mm) and .45 caliber pistol.


Additionally, check the Overview for any special rules regarding your soldier's class. This should be a rule of thumb.

After some years in "a ridiculous war over whose chocolate was better", the first alien abduction happened, he was a first-hand witness of the event. As a Rookie, seeing as you have chosen to specialize in close-quarters combat, you are to be issued either a Mossberg 600 pump-action combat shotgun and .45 caliber pistol, or a standard X9 assault rifle and .45.

Approved for XCOM duty, soldier! As a Rookie you will be assigned an MX249 Squad Automatic Weapon and M1 Portable Anti-Infantry RPG. Prepare for duty as the squad's dedicated bullet wizard.


MX249 SPECIAL ABILITY: Enhanced Suppression


While most guns can suppress, the MX249, a lead-spewing 7.62x51mm wonder, is especially good at it. Enemies can be reaction-fired against if they shoot, as well as if they move.
