My Interest Check
Hi, so I'm Mordo and it's been quite a bit since I've been here last. But I'm back for the time being because I got the itch to role-play again. Missed doing that, but got super busy all at once, so been away from not just this site bit all rping sites for a bit.

Just a few quick things about me, I do love to write, rp and create characters. I have been away from this site for at least a few months now, but I’ve come back because I’ve gotten the itch to rp once more. I do realize that I have gotten a bit rusty in my hiatus, but I am hoping to find someone who is patient and willing to give me a chance and write with me, so I can improve. Please also note that I do work full time, so I won’t be here all the time. That said I will try to get back to you when I can. I know I posted another plot on here as well. But I also just recently got this idea and wanted to see if anybody would be interested. It could be fun to do. Romance can happen between our characters if you are up for it or not. I’m good either way. I’m up for most pairings, but my mc will be male, so no FxF I’m afraid. Also please keep in mind this rp will be dark and violent in nature, so if that’s not your thing then yeah. Just thought I’d give a fair warning. If you’re cool with dark themes and aren’t easily triggered then please read on.

I'd like it if we could either rp it on the site or over pms. I don't really want to go off site heh. I'd also prefer it if you are 18+ just because I myself am an adult and yeah I just don't feel all that comfortable writing certain themes such as romance with anyone younger, sorry. I personally don't have any triggers, but please let me know if you have any and what they are, so I can avoid them.

Now then onto the role-play. I’d like to do a rp where our characters are enemies or rivals who have found themselves in a situation that will force them to work together since that will be the most logical way for them both to escape alive. I figured this theme could be explored in the following fandoms that I can rp or we can use our own setting and characters.

Fandoms I can Roleplay in no particular order:

MLP FIM (I’d like to be Starlight, Trixie, Sunset Shimmer, Fluttershy or Rarity)

Avatar/Korra (I’d like to be Zuko, Ty Lee or Bolin)

TMNT 2012 (I’d like to be Raphael)

Teen Titans original (I’d like to be Beast Boy)

Regular Show (I’d like to be Rigby)

The Cuphead Show (I’d like to be either the devil or Mugman)

Dan Vs (I can either be Dan himself, Elise, or someone Dan hates; which let's face it not very hard to do considering his personality lol)

Ducktales either the original or the newer one I don't care. I love both!

Darkwing Duck (DW is one of my favorite characters ever! So if anyone is interested I am very passionate when it comes to writing as this character. I've rped as him before. Will either play as Darkwing, Megavolt or Negaduck)

Sonic (I’d like to be Shadow.)

Or if we use our own characters I do have a few characters to choose from. But I’d like to know what your oc is like to help me decide which of my characters to go with.

If we go with Darkwing Duck I think it would be both super hilarious and fun to force poor DW and Negaduck in a situation where they have to team up. As far as I know this has never happened, so that makes it all the more interesting to me. I know I’m totally evil! I can play as either character. I know both characters really well and I read most of the DW Duck comics. As for what would cause them to team up in the first place? Well, that’s a little trickier considering that Negaduck is so evil and crazy that nothing scares him. It would have to be something or someone that happens to be a larger threat to the city than even Negaduck. The yellow jacketed felon won’t like the idea of someone else threatening his city. In a similar vein, Darkwing won’t like the idea of working with his arch nemesis, but will reluctantly do so if it means saving St. Canard and its citizens.

If any of this interests you please either post here or shoot me a pm.

Here's my writing sample for Darkwing from an old rp I did. The rp was an awesome one that both myself and my rp partner enjoyed. It's a little long, but I hope it's enjoyable to read.

It started off as a normal enough day in the city of St. Canard with all of its decent citizens minding their own business including the devilishly handsome, neighborly Drake Mallard who had found himself smack in the middle of Flitman's Jewelry as a personal favor to his naive neighbor, Herb Muddlefoot. Herb had prepaid for a beautiful amulet made of precious rare gems as a surprise anniversary gift for his wife, Binkie. But wouldn't you know it the poor guy was just much too shy to go pick such an extravagant gift himself; plus he wanted to keep it a surprise, so he asked his best bud and neighbor, Drake to go pick it up for him. Drake wasn't so sure how good ole Herb was able to afford such an expensive amulet on a Quackerware salesman's salary, but he felt certain that however his annoying neighbor was able to do it he did so honestly. After all, according to Drake, Herb Muddlefoot may be a lot of things, but a dishonest, rotten no good thief certainly was not one of them!

Still even as Drake found himself inside the stuffy store standing in line behind an insufferable amount of people when all he wanted to do was pick up a lousy amulet he wondered how in the world he got himself roped into acting like a delivery guy for Herb. He supposed it could be worse; so much worse! He could be stuck babysitting Tank after all; the little terror! Drake cringed at the thought. Oh how he hated that brat of a kid! After seeing all the priceless jewelry securely tucked away behind some fancy looking glass; oh that glass; Drake was also relieved that he was able to persuade Gosalyn to stay at home with Launchpad. Doubtless one of her signature trick shots from her hockey puck would have broken the shop's expensive glass for sure leaving him to pay all the damages as usual. If nothing else, Drake at least didn't have to worry about his destructive daughter breaking anything in the store. However, the possibility of her and Launchpad tearing up the whole house while he's away is, unfortunately, very high.

Sadly, the possibility of his daughter engaging in some sort of property destruction would soon be the least of Drake's worries for little did he or anyone else for that matter realize that something very strange and very bizarre was about to take place. There was only a couple of people in front of the impatient duck when all of the crazy and the 'real fun' first began. "Ugh, how much longer is this going to take?" Drake impatiently grumbled tapping his foot as he glanced at his wristwatch. He didn't care what anyone else said or thought, Herb owed him big time for this, Drake mentally noted as he watched the cashier slowly complete the transaction for the little old lady in front of him. Suddenly it happened.

As soon as the cashier handed granny's purchase all hell broke loose! For some strange reason everybody in the store including Drake Mallard himself went crazy! Everybody was hitting, kicking, and punching each other in a regular free-for-all with poor Drake stuck in the middle of all the chaos! Drake who was in the middle of mindlessly fighting the much larger security guard was fighting in much the same way he did under his Darkwing Duck hero identity save for the fact he wasn't using any of his gadgets and smoke bombs. Thankfully everybody was too busy fighting each other to notice nor care.

By the time the police arrived everybody was out of it and nobody not even Drake Mallard could remember anything. Some of the citizens found themselves in weird places after the fight. Drake himself ended up having his head stuck in a trash can and was struggling to get it off of him. Thankfully one of the police was able to pull it off him. Drake was left with a massive headache and was very confused when he saw the huge mess caused by the big unexplained brawl.

He then noticed the broken shards of glass scattered all over the floor and that the jewelry they had once protected was now missing! It looked like a tornado hit the store and dare he say it, it made his daughter's room look clean by comparison! Drake let out a startled gasp. "What? What happened here?" he asked nobody in particular, clearly confused. "That's exactly what we'd like to know," answered one of the police. "Well, sure looks like you guys have a real mystery on your hands," Drake told them with an awkward smile. The cop nodded. "Yes we do citizen; which is why we are hoping that you will all cooperate with us during this investigation. Since you are all potential witnesses to this crime we have questions for all of you! And as such I am afraid we cannot allow any of you to leave just yet. Understood?" Unsurprisingly, this was met with groans and cries of protest from 'the witnesses' not that the police cared.

Drake, naturally, wasn't too happy with the officer's request either. As a crimefighter he so did not have time to satisfy police curiosity not that he'd be of much help to them and their pesky questions anyway since he couldn't remember anything; which was really weird. All he could really remember was going to the store for Herb, getting in line and then...nothing! It had all been a blank to him. But he was definitely sore and in pain. Why? He wished he knew. In fact, he was really looking forward to finding that out for himself. Nobody gives Darkwing Duck amnesia and gets away with it! He just had to sneak away from the police, so he can change into his hero persona.

Luckily for him most of the police were busy questioning the others leaving him with only one annoying cop to deal with. Searching his pockets for something useful, Drake found one of Gosalyn's marbles. When nobody was looking, Drake tossed it at the cash register causing it to ding. "Hey, what was that!?" demanded the cop. "It sounded like the cash register. Someone must be messing with it," Drake informed him in a concerned tone. "Oh yeah! Not on my watch! Wait here buddy! I'll be right back!" Drake grinned slyly. "Take your time." With the cop preoccupied, Drake slipped into the back room.

Two minutes later, mysterious blue smoke filled the shop. "I am the terror that flaps in the night! I'm the gaps in your memory! I'm Darkwing Duck!" The smoke cleared revealing the mysterious masked crimefighter standing heroically atop the counter. He hopped off when he thought he had everybody's attention. He walked over to the Chief of police. "Don't worry Chief I totally got this handled. I'll find the culprit behind this heinous deed and return the stolen jewels posthaste. Now if you will all just excuse me, I got clues to look for," Darkwing assured them as he pulled out his magnifying glass to take a closer look at the remnants of glass scattered all across the floor. However, the Chief clearly not very happy to see him just groaned. "Darkwing Duck? As though I didn't already have enough problems. What makes you think you'll be able to find any leads in this mess when we have yet to find a thing?" 'Does he really want me to answer that?' Darkwing thought smugly as he continued to scan the area for clues. "Chief, nice to see you still hold me in such high esteem," Darkwing replied sarcastically. The Chief just rolled his eyes. "Just cut the sarcasm and stay out of the way! This is my case."

Ignoring him, Darkwing walked up to the manager. "Okay, I'm gonna cut right to the chase, you guys got video surveillance or what? I'd like to take a look at your security camera footage. That should show us who or what we're dealing with here," Darkwing asked point blank. As he waited impatiently for the manager's reply, Darkwing wondered if the police had already seen the video feeds or if they hadn't why they didn't even think to ask for them? After all there is no witness more reliable and more honest than a security camera. Oh how Darkwing loved technology!

As Darkwing patiently listened to the manager's response he busied himself by checking the counter for fingerprints and any other potential clues let by the thief. Alas much like the police he didn't find any such clues not even a single lousy fingerprint or feather could be found; which led the master detective to conclude that their thief was very thorough. He must have worn gloves and wiped the entire counter clean. How annoying! 'But how did he or she even have the time to do that without being spotted? How is it possible that not one person in this whole store noticed the thief? How could they not remember seeing someone cleaning off the counters? That's kind of hard to miss. Then again I myself even with my all seeing super observant eyes can't seem to recall much of anything. Hmmm...this case just keeps getting weirder and weirder by the second,' Darkwing thought to himself.

"I'm glad you're here, Mr. Terror. Not that I have no confidence in the police department; far from it. But I'd like as many people investigating this crime as possible. Not only have I lost my entire inventory, but this brawling will be harmful to my store's reputation!"

'Mr. Terror?' Darkwing raised an eyebrow from behind his purple mask. He had to chuckle softly at that. Very few people referred to him as that. For one thing it felt so formal and for another it wasn't exactly part of his hero name. Just part of his entrance. Not that he really minded. It's certainly better than the insulting nicknames some people have come up with such as; costumed clown, costumed buffoon, and purple weirdo. Honestly, it sometimes got on his nerves. Here he was trying his best to keep the city safe from dangerous villains and yet some people still don't trust him and instead just sees him as some fool running amok in a cape and mask. There are times when he couldn't help wondering why he even bothers when nobody else seems to care, but then he remembers that it's all worth it in the end just to see the look on his defeated enemy's face just before he hands them over to the police. Truth was it was really all up to him to defeat the bad guy because if he didn't then who would? Not Gizmoduck and certainly not the police who were truly clueless without him. And who knows maybe just maybe if he cracks this case wide open, captures the jewel thief responsible, and recovers the store's stolen jewels he'll earn some respect from the police. Well maybe, but he wasn't holding his breath.

He shot the manager a reassuring smile. "Not to worry good citizen for I. Darkwing Duck shall singlehandedly capture the swindling swine responsible for ransacking your once high end shop and I will find your stolen jewels posthaste," Darkwing rather arrogantly reassured. He then lowered his voice hoping that the neighboring officers couldn't overhear him, "not that I can really blame your for losing faith in the police. These bozos couldn't find their way out of a paper bag without my help."

However, the mere mention of a brawl having taken place took the costumed duck by surprise since he didn't remember a fight going on. Of course it definitely explained why everybody in the room save for the police looked like they got in a fight with a mower and lost. It would also explain why he himself felt sore all over and had a massive headache that he really wished would just go away, so he can solve the case in peace. "Soooooo that's why everybody here looks like a total wreck. A fight happened. That I did not know. And you say not one person here knows what caused it? Interesting... How very interesting indeed," Darkwing mused as he made a quick note of it in his notepad. Darkwing was beginning to suspect that the guilty party responsible for this mess either had powers of their own or was in possession of a powerful technology that causes aggression and memory loss in its victims. Said technology would also need to be small, portable, easy to carry around.

The manager then proceeded to answer his questions concerning his security cameras. Unfortunately, the manager revealed that much like the expensive jewelry cases the lenses on the cameras too had been shattered into tiny bits rendering any actual security footage useless. This bit of news may have disappointed the caped crimefighter, but luckily for all of the decent citizens of St. Canard, Darkwing was not one to give up so easily. In fact, he kind of liked the challenge since he'd look like an even bigger hero after solving the crime! Oh he couldn't wait! After calming himself down, Darkwing looked back at the manager. "So no security footage, eh? Well, that's disappointing. Still, when one door closes another one opens even wider than the last! I'd still like to take a closer look at what's left of your cameras. Maybe if we're lucky our jewel thief might have unwittingly left behind some clue to their identity or even to where they may be headed next," Darkwing optimistically suggested.

Then the manager kindly offered the masked crimefighter even more information.

"As I was telling this police gentleman," he volunteered, "I was sitting at my desk in my office, opening the day's mail. Suddenly I had this terrible headache. I started for the water cooler to take some aspirin, and that's the last thing I remember. Oh. My water cooler is shattered, too."

'So, the manager has a headache too? Now, that's interesting,' the crimefighter mused to himself. That was definitely one thing they both had in common. In fact, looking around the room, it made him wonder if everybody involved in the unexplained brawl got headaches afterwards as a result. Darkwing told himself that he would definitely ask them in a bit. He had some things he wanted to clear up first before he proceeded.

The masked crimefighter looked back at the manager. Even before asking his next question he knew it was going to come off as strange, but Darkwing didn't care since this case was already strange to begin with and besides it needed to be asked. "Soooooo do you by chance look through your mail at the same time everyday? I realize that this is a weird question, but I need to know who we're dealing with here. I need to know if our thief is some sort of creepy stalker that's memorized your entire schedule," Darkwing questioned. If this freaked the poor manager out then that's really just too bad. Darkwing's a crimefighter not a bodyguard.

Opening up his notepad, Darkwing glanced through his notes. "I'm beginning to get a picture here, but I need to check a few things first to make sure," he informed the manager.

Pulling out his magnifying glass, Darkwing headed over to each of the cash registers to take a closer look at them. It didn't take him long to realize that much like the counter top they had all been wiped clean. Unsurprisingly, any money that was once inside them was also stolen. "Mmm...hmmm..."

Making good on his promise, Darkwing easily spotting one of the cameras climbed onto the counter to get a closer look. Once again it had been wiped clean. Now Darkwing was beginning to understand. In fact, he didn't even bother trying to check the other cameras. This guy was beyond thorough. Darkwing wasn't entirely sure who it was yet, but he at least had a pretty good idea of who it wasn't and that was at least a start.

The caped crimefighter hopping off the counter returned to the manager with his news. "Okay, the bad news is the identity of our jewel thief is still a mystery to me. Whoever it is, they're smart and know how to cover their tracks. Our thief is very thorough. He wiped everything clean and I do mean everything. How he found the time to do so, I have no idea. I'm also pretty sure he is either using magic to do this or are in possession of powerful technology. And more obviously, he's got pretty expensive taste. Good news is I've narrowed down our suspect pool. But not to worry. I'll get him! No thief can get past me," Darkwing revealed to the manager and if the police overheard he didn't care. Let them because there is no way they'll catch the perp before him! He was that confident!

He then remembered there was one other thing he wanted to ask the manager about. "One last thing before I question the other witnesses, did you happen to see anything suspicious or out of the ordinary before you lost your memory? Just remember anything you can give me; anything at all will be helpful," Darkwing further questioned; his pen at the ready to jot anything important down.
