500 Years ago...
Our story starts in one of the uncommon ways, two natural enemies trying to kill each other. One, a human descended from a powerful race of humans gifted elemental magic and tasked with protecting humanity from the monsters in the dark, known to all Demons as Hunters. The other, a half-breed demon with Hunter blood. Together they would discover an uneasy alliance as they unravel a plot so terrible that it would literally mean the end of the world itself. Through a series of events, the Hunter and Demon/Hunter forge a true friendship and together they gather allies and gain enemies as they struggle to stop the Demon God from rising. By accident, destiny, or manipulation of events, the Hunter is chosen as the Champion of the Gods. His purpose: Defeat the Demon God before he can be released from his prison and kill the remaining Gods.
Through horrifying battles, thousands of lives lost, and becoming something far more than human.... The Hunter and his allies somehow managed to defeat the Demon God, vastly weakening him and returning him to his prison. Life in the worlds returned to normal, and the human world was not the wiser. The Hunter however had become something eternal. And as the years, then decades, and finally centuries rolled past him, he watched his world change. His friends and chosen family passed on into the great beyond, and his purpose lost.
Present Day...
The Hunter has bound nearly all of his power, and has embraced the human world in a way he never had before. He is now a multi-billionaire and owns many of the most innovative companies in the world. So say his inventions are almost like magic.... But his days of fighting have been over for nearly 100 years. That is until an unlikely encounter with a young individual sparks a fight with a demon. Things go downhill from there, as the new person discovers the magical world. Oh wait, it's the magical world that discovers them! The new person will discover the myths and legends of magical creatures aren't just stories to scare kids into being good. With the help of the Hunter, the newbie will discover their connection to the magical world, the danger that lurks in every shadow, and the truly terrifying possibilities magic can create or destroy.
The Hunter will have to come to terms with their role as a leader/unifier/and hero once again. For not only the fate of the world will hang in the balance, again, but all magic as well. Will he be able to regain his lost power while dealing with vampire assassins, hungry were-creatures, and a mortal that discovers they could be a new-God? Or was it they are his re-incarnated soul-mate from 400 years ago??
