Tiresias the sage
Merlin Ambrosius's son
IC: The year is 1201 ad. King arthur pendragon has just pulled the sword from the stone and become king of england. He has made peace with the dwarves, nearly eradicated the elves, and brought peace to the land. it was... calm. But given the ambition of humanoids, things never stayed that way for long. You are in the town of Heiwana, where almost nothing happens. You're about to change that.
OOC: okay so the main idea of this campaign is a group of people to go on adventures, but you know how in most dnd campaigns you just cause chaos? in this while you can and should, there are options put in place for things like starting a revolution, becoming a villain, and other things dnd players usually don't (explicitly) do.
Also, each one of you has some connection to a powerful figure from a story. or just be straight up funny, like gandalf with a gun. for example, my character is the adopted son of merlin, and the biological son of the lady of the lake and some random human. given that the lady of the lake is closest to an elf, that makes him a half elf. i will write more about my character soon.
Multiclassing is allowed, and encouraged if you feel it's right for the character, not the power. Mine is going to be a level 19 wizard and level 1 paladin, but so far he's only 1 of each. you start at level 2.
Also if you wanna know more about me, just ask!
Confirmation thingies (thanks Idea !):
I will use the 2024 version of dnd 5e, but if i'm being honest, i don't think much has changed except the character creation.
2: Hombrew, is good if it is close to the story you are leaning for. also try, please, to make the homebrew something i can understand.
3: for stats we will be rolling a 8 sided die with plus 10
4: for starting stuff, we will have the equipment that your class starts with. money must be made. get that bling yourself.
5: you have Complete freedom when making a character's story close to another story, as long as I approve it in a pm. For example, king arthur is actually a hothead in my story who needs to be the best, and is kind of a bully.
6: everything will be onsite, and length... I'd say about one to two paragraphs. for frequency limit as long as everyone gets a turn.
