Pff, ohhh boy you'll love Loren then. But yeah go for it, she can sort of take the danger. Sort of. Mostly...
 
I actually do have a legitimate question in regards to the RP Sample. 


When you say the first night of the apocalypse, are we talking when the shit has already rocket propelled into the fan and the entire room is covered in feces, or when people just start reanimating? 


Since that fact alone could greatly shift the atmosphere/location of where my character would be due to his background.

I should probably go back and amend that requirement as the characters first encounter with a zombie. 
 
Okay, so are the zombies: 


Viral/Infectant: Meaning, are they caused by a disease. If so, how does it work? Do people get the disease, die from it, and reanimate? Do they get the disease and just go crazy? Etc. This would also be pertinent if it is a weaponized virus. 


Biochemical/Radiation: Some sort of radiation or chemical altering the brain chemistry. If chemical, can it be replicated in the bloodstream and transferred like a virus? Can it affect the living and the dead, or just the already dead? (as in Herbert West --- Reanimator) 


Magic: Is it voodoo? 


I'm fairly certain it's infection based. I'd just like to know a little more about them. Also, what is the colloquial description for them? Do they call them zombies? Ghouls? The Undead? Flesheaters? What? 


Also, do they cannibalize their victims and turn some of them, or do them turn all of them? If they cannibalize, what decides who gets eaten and who doesn't? If they're non-infectious I'm assuming they cannibalize all their victims. 


How rapidly do they decay? Any special signs of zombism like a change in eye-color, skin color, legions on the skin perhaps? If they feed do they get stronger and not decay? When they're not looking for food what do they do? Shamble around? Are they capable of speech or cognition? Do they have any of their former intelligence? 


What was the government response/how fast did the outbreak occur and with what severity? 


I think that does it for questions right now. 
 
Is it alright if I make my character in the police (Maybe something like Captain or Lieutenant.) before the outbreak?


I worked quite a bit on it last night but I wanted to make sure it was alright.

As long as you make it realistic. An older fellow who's put in the time and work.

I'll honestly throw out to everyone that if you can't see your character being a thing in the average world then you better re-evaluate. I am going to be strict on realism.

Yeah I understand, I was originally going to do ex-military as well but thought that might be a bit overkill lol, so I just stuck with police.
 
Ex-military would make sense, although I'd have to draw the line if everyone pulled it. I'm making mine that merely for the sake of plot though, as the original group needs someone who can take charge and personally i think that someone needs to be under GM control. And @Shadowborn Omen looks uninterested based on his character so far. lol

I mean... I could technically pull a co-leader role, but... Yeah, she's not the monarch type, haha.

I will add it in while I am working on it then and if more people start to show interest towards a military background I can take it out?

I personally liked your idea of police, in fact I could give you a few ideas to go with that if you wanna PM me.
