Futuristic End Engineer OOC

Woo! I'm assuming that will change as we get further along the story, doing a puzzle wrong could possibly lock everyone out of a specific area. That would suck and I'd hate to be the one to do it :P

So mister GM guy, how are we supposed to handle the whole level up thing? Sorry if the answer is already here somewhere but if it is I can't find it.I mean that's not saying much but still.

If I remember right, characters can have access to two Chips at any given time. At the moment, EX can use both the Shell and Speed chips at the same time, but if I acquire a new chip later on, if I want to use it I have to replace one of the previous ones right? Same with Cannons.

Spicy Serious Spicy Serious -- Hi, each post depends on the quality and in-depth of your writing, how much it contributes to main plot or sub plot. I continue to add the EXP and inform when you level up (but if you pay attention, you can tell when it's coming.) Some level-ups grant 1 extra stat point permanently, some level-ups are more special.

Seraph Darkfire Seraph Darkfire -- Yes! I was waiting for a time to reveal that information, but since you asked, now would be the best time. To replace / install with the new Chip/Cannon, use Run ACT (to run it). Characters can use up to two Chips/two Cannons, and can carry on them any number of Chips/Cannons they find.

Great post tho! The Run Act thing matters more when in combat, when the Combat Act is on.
That makes the fights more interesting, when the droids take the time to switch Chips/Cannons. :)

Ah, I see. Does that mean that I can only use one weapon at a time in battle? Or would it enable me to have two attacks in battle instead of one?

You can attack however you like, as long as you understand it counts as one strike to the enemy.
Ex: recently Vulpes Vulpes did with SB, really cool btw, still cut only 4 posts since UV's Shell is down.

I see.

I've noticed that doing damage is completely useless once you go past zero, but is there a limit to how much damage one can take before they are just destroyed. Like, if a 1 Shell person fought a 10 Power person. I'd imagine that at a certain level, there would be lasting damage that couldn't be repaired instantly.

That's the basic mechanic of Power and Shell.

If you were to get two Power Chips, you'd be granted a Critical Hit bonus. If you were to land a critical hit, the defending droid would not be able to block effectively or if not blocking and takes a critical hit, they get staggered and skip a turn, which in turns leaves them open and allows for another attack on them.

If you were to get two Shell Chips, you'd defend against critical hits a lot better.
