A quiet morning is broken up by shouting, ringing bells, and crashing debris.
In the wealthy district of Komu, on the south end of the city, a theif (Muse A) scurries down the cobbled road, spoils in hand. They'd just made, perhaps, the best score of their life. Glinting echanted stones, mirror smooth gold bands and precious fabrics. With such a haul, if they were smart about it, they'd never have to worry about eating again.
Muse A is pursued closely by guardsmen, grasping hands barely missing as they make their way to the gates. The gates fall shut with only just enough time to leap beneath them. Looking back at the enraged guards barking at each other to get it open, Muse A trots off into the woods to lay low.
At such a time, while dusk approaches, Muse A cant shake the feeling of being watched. Shadows move at the edge of their vision, gusts of wind kick up suddenly and stop abruptly. Just as it begins to get dark, Muse A spots something strange, peeking at them from around an overgrown tree.
A strange, otherworldy pair of eyes stares them down, hungry for information. Mirrored lenses, lacking pupils, yet.. empathetic, at a glance, the shape steps out further, revealing an inhuman sillhouette.
Four dexterous arms, afixed to a humanoid body. Behind her, great moth-like wings stood unfurled, ready to carry her away at a moments warning. Her bushy antennae twitch and move, feeding her information as she steps closer, extending her lower right hand in an accusatory point. She gestures to Muse A's bag, and gives a seeming look of approval.
