But tonight, we dance.
I love telling stories. I love stories of bravery and courage and adventure and friendship and love. But to work out if we've got similar stories we want to tell, let's go through the things I want and don't want in a roleplay partner.
With all that said, here are some pairings and plots I enjoy. We can talk about details over messages, but here's the bare bones of what I enjoy.
- I'm willing to play both genders, and prefer to do so in the same roleplay. Doubling keeps things interesting, and if you don't want to double, this likely won't work.
- Characters should be able to be more than the passive princess/prince who needs rescuing from others or from themselves, and is always the victim of every circumstance and never at fault.
- Length doesn't matter too much to me. I've enjoyed RPs that were 5-6 paragraphs per post, and others that are 1-2 paragraphs. If they're short replies, they need to be more frequent, though.
- Don't just disappear. Let me know if you're over it, and I'll do the same. We can either rework the plot or give up from there.
- This is a story we both get to tell, not just one of us, so be involved and be creative.
- I enjoy romance, but I don't want it to be the only part of a story.
With all that said, here are some pairings and plots I enjoy. We can talk about details over messages, but here's the bare bones of what I enjoy.
- A group of friends on a Summer trip before they start their real world jobs.
- Something set within the Dauntless initiation, where there could be romance. If there is, then it can't just be a reduplication of Tris and Four, and we do have to double because I've been in a few RPs where all they've wanted was to play out their crush on a character and not really do much else. Nope, no, no. Needs to be more.
- Arranged marriage (fantasy) - two clans are at war and to end the war they build a house between their two territories and have two children from their most powerful families get married. There's mess and politics and all that jazz, not just instaromance. We'd pick the different clans, based on preference - elves and shape shifters and basically all the things are okay.
- Arranged marriage (modern) - two companies are falling apart at the seams and they need to rescue public image before everything is gone. They consolidate funds and raise public image by marrying their eldest children to one another. Similar plot to above, minus all the fantasy, and with the addition of all that comes with public life.
- Pirates - no massive idea here, but I'm keen to come up with a piratey plot.
- Something to do with a band on tour.
- Other ideas? Tell me.
