Melanin-Gxdess
Give up on your dreams and die.
Once he had turned around, he saw the handle of the gun being pointed at him. Teddy couldn't help but hesitate, staring at Marcus and listening to his words. He had almost forgotten that he was dealing with the eldest brother of the woman he was with. There were bound to be a lot of over-protective actions in the future, but it had slipped his mind completely. Truthfully he always had plans to speak with Marcus, knowing that Val's past with men would be the reason he would be watched so closely. With the fun now resting in the palm of his hand, there was a slight hesitation. The man was basically telling him this was his right of passage, that if he did this for Valentina that perhaps he would have his blessing to be dating his sister. It wasn't that he didn't want to do this for her, but it was the amount of pressure he was feeling. Granted he wasn't going to disappoint, but this would be the second time he had to kill someone. It was for a good reason but the fact still remained that he was now a murderer and sinking deeper and deeper into the Moretti family business.
He was still staring at the gun in his hand when he heard Marcus' voice again, soon followed by Gabe. His boss was basically giving him an order, one he knew he was in no position to decline. Every day he woke up he knew how lucky he was to be alive, to be allowed to do his job, to be able to be with the woman he cared for. He was on thin ice and he didn't know how long it would be until he wasn't. He glanced at his boss before the gun the back to Steve. It was like just seeing the man's smug little face pissed him off again, causing him to raise the gun level to Steve's chest. Shooting him in the head would end everything too quickly, so he opted for something he would be able to feel. With a determined look on his face, he shot him twice in the chest without a single word said to the man, wasting words on a piece of trash wasn't something he wanted to do. He wiped the beads of sweat from his forehead and quickly set the gun down on the table, desperate to get the heavy weapon out of his hands. He was glad Val's request to tag along was declined, considering how messy it had been but it was well worth it.
