Just a quick question, though. I have my email notification settings off and yet I'm still receiving emails for messages that I get on here. A little help would be appreciated and thank you in advance.

Hmm.

Which messages, if its the one I'm sending out about the site being live, it kinda glitched out and sent like twice. If not, you may be watching something and getting email notifications for it.

There are also other settings menus under your account you can investigate.

Would you be able to take a look? Because it's more than just the ones you sent out. I'm receiving them for every alert and message I get on here and I've already gone through all of those preferences. I don't think I missed anything but I'm in a lot of PMs and it's already getting annoying.

I think so. I had some for alerts earlier but they seem to now be alright. And I'm getting messages for just the PM messages now.

Oh, and thought I might ask another quick question while I'm here. What does message count mean? Is it the same as content count? I don't really care if it went up or down, honestly...I'm just here to role play. But mine did drastically change and I'm just curious.

message count = posts.

I believe its the same as content count !

I believe that on IPS content count also included profile posts, xF doesn't include both types of content in one number.

That can't be true, since, personally, I've only made two or three profile posts while my content count has gone down by about seventy. Not that I really mind. Just pointing it out.

IPS seemed to have a weird way of counting anyway. I remember posts counts changed a bit when we first started with it.

I checked, they do count multiple types of contents, including gallery it seemed.

xF on ly does strictly posts in threads in that number. Its all wonky to say the least.
