Fantasy Element Academy

"Well I'm water, and I really don't know who she is talking to" Ivan said looking over at Gigi. "So next year is going to be harder. huh? Good, I need a challenge. This year was almost too easy.

"That is Wattle, he never takes that cloak off and never removes his hood. People have tried to take it off to see what he looked like but that usually ended up badly for them. He tends to stay away from people. You're in for a rude awakening if you go into 5th year thinking like that."

The sight of the girls smile was contagious and one began to play on Wattles pale lips as well it reminding him of a forgotten soul who lived in the back of his mind. Their nose having scrunched up as well when they smirked, wrinkles would appear at the edges of their eyes also. But that seemed to be all of the information the plant element wielder could recall.

"Was it difficult?" He asked referring to the exam as his eyes scanned the area in front of them in search of the Ivan character within the lakes waters and found him quickly before returning his hidden stare back to the GiGi.

"I get it is going to be hard, alright?" Ivan said. "But if I go into every test thinking about how difficult it is going to be it will be harder. Optimism isn't needed for everything, but it sure makes tests a hell of a lot easier. It relaxes you. when you are relaxed, your mind is clear. That is how I go for my tests. I prepare and become ready. I know it isn't going to be easy, but I can make it easier."

"well good luck with that and for some fun" Kori sets a shadow trap under Ivan's feet making him not able to move. "have fun trying to get out of that, I'm just going to sit here and watch."

Gigi leaned in "Can you keep a secret?" she looked left and right for both a dramatic effect and to make sure no one was listening. She leans closer to Wattle and whispers "It was really, really easy. I finished in like ten minutes. I've been studying every night since the year started if you stick to the notes on the professors lectures and practice every night you'll do fine. I told my best friend I spaced because it was hard, but really I was done early and didn't feel comfortable leaving early. I mean come on, they even put the 5 basic rules on there." She nudges him gently "you seem like you're a smart guy I bet you'll do even better than me and Ivan did." She smiled encouragingly and added "but if you need anything both me and Ivan would love to help you anytime!"

Wattle leaned in to the girls voice so through the thick fabric of his cloak he'd be capable of hearing what she considered a secret. And as she completed the statement he sat back normally readjusting the paper crown a top his head and thinking about her words. If you where to be prejudice and only base Gigi off her looks you wouldn't imagine her as someone you'd see hunched over a desk and studying each night in his opinion. So he was a bit surprised by both that and the fact that despite just meeting him she saw a chance in him.

"Thank you, I'll most likely take you up on that offer. I often times can only use my element based off of my emotions, so I need to somehow fix that." Wattle was aware when he knew he needed help he wasn't the type to allow their pride to stop them from stepping forward and learning something that could improve their skills greatly.

Kori left ivan to his own device and joined the conversation of Watle and Gigi. "Sorry if I'm intruding but It's getting boring of watching Ivan trying to get out of that trap. It's nice to meet you wattle and sorry about the darkness that is hanging over us."

Wattle looked up from Gigi and up to the stranger in which controlled the darkness which loomed over their bodies. He didn't quite mind it, it wasn't a necessity at the moment although the lightness of day did increase his elemental abilities.

"It's fine, and it's nice to meet you as well..." The boy trailed off hoping that the wielder would grant him with his name. As he was still oblivious to the boys title although he believed he had seen him around the school grounds during passing period. And during the ruckus last week in which a lower classman attempted to remove Wattles hood, in which he responded with a bit of unneeded violence.

But he wouldn't allow it, to free himself of the hood or to reveal his expression.

Ivan simply smiled. "A challenge, huh? I'll take that." He pulled some water from the lake and froze it around Kori's feet, holding him in place like his predicament. "Now, a wild card. Hey, Gigi! I know you know how to break this!" He gestured towards his feet. He was determined to not entertain Kori.

"Damn it Ivan, I'm not in the mood right now." Kori pulled out his scythe and smashed the ice around his feet and was free within a few minutes." He turned his attention back to Wattle "my name is koriyoko but people just call me Kori for short."

Gigi smiled "Anytime, I mean it. Ivan would probably jump at the chance to mentor someone. The emotional control problem is very common--" Gigi looked up to Kori and smiles brightly "hey Kori, right? The dark is fine.." Gigi hears Ivan call out to him "hold on I have to help him." Gigi gets up and moves to the edge of the lake, closes her eyes and creates a small strong ball of light. It moves and crackles with energy and it shoots it into the lake. Bright light explodes in the lake and Ivan is released from his restraint.

Wattle sat silently watching the events unfold in front of him, a bit oblivious as to how he should react to the actions. What type of group was he interacting with now, for it seemed like two of them where currently on bad grounds. But either way he spoke kindly to the dark trustee by the name of Kori,

"Well it is nice to meet you Sir Kori," he spoke politely well aware that he was older then himself and Ivan and Gigi and as well for the fact of simply being nice to the dark teen. Finally he pushed himself off the ground as his finger tips made contact with the grass at his feet it seemed to speed up the process of its growth for a second and it grew an inch within the single second. Fixing his cloak to make sure it hide his face he shuffled his feet awkwardly not quite sure as to what to say.

"It seems Ivan is irritated with you."

"nah, its just a fun little joke I played on him. He has some guts to do what he did, I have to give him that." Kori casts another shadow but this time locking Ivans arms and feet together making him fall down. "Have fun getting out of that Ivan, I'll see you later." Kori transforms into a shadow on the ground and goes away out of sight from the rest of the group to watch what happens.

"Sorry about that" Gigi turns back to them "Ivan really is a good guy. Just give him the chance" She smiles at the both of them. As Kori shuffles into darkness she sighs "I'd like to say that not all dark elements are like, but they are." She puts her hands on her hips and looks Wattle over "Your much taller sitting up."

"Oh for crying out loud!" He said. Getting a bit frustrated, he just called upon the water and picked at the trap with ice until it shattered. "I feel like there will be future friction between us. By the way, are either of you going to sign up for the arena challenge?"

Wattle took a step back slightly when Kori was replaced with an amount of black smoke before disappearing entirely. Looking around for a moment he was torn from his search for the teen when he heard Gigis voice speak to him about the lack of diversity with the dark elements.

"He didn't seem that bad," the boy murmured quietly as he still would sneak glances around in search of the boy despite he knew wherever he'd look wouldn't be known. But his attention was caught once more when she spoke of his height,

"Tall?" He repeated quiet innocently as he cocked his head to the side, "people don't usually put a four foot elevan person in the category of tall but thank you." Wattles smile could be heard within his words despite the fact that it was impossible to see within the darkness of his hood. Then when Ivan spoke up about an arena challenge he looked over at the older teen and nodded his head no in response rather then speaking verbally.

Kori snuck back to the group and popped up behind Ivan "I've been hearing about that arena challenge. I signed up the first chance I got, I hope to see some of you in that challenge, It will get be kinda of fun. Sorry If I scared you Ivan but it is too much fun right now." He then disappeared again and appeared next to Wattle.

Gigi shrugs "you know me I'd probably get lost going to the arena or blind everyone in the crowd. If it isn't mandatory I'd rather just root for you" She smiles and creates sparkler pompoms in her hands "you know I'm a great cheerleader" she does a cheering pose "Go Ivan!" She smiles and puts her hands on he hips she leans over to look at Wattle "I'll cheer for you too" she gives him a wink and lets the pompoms disappear.

Ivan smirked. "It will take more than that to scare me. I've been through worse. And as far as Dark elementalists go, you're not too bad. Though to be honest, I'd rather be on your team during the team challenges. I'd much rather have you as an ally than a foe. So what do you plan on doing once you're in the field?"

Wattle was easily surprised by the reappearance of the mysterious Kori and tensed up while he stepped back hesitantly as everyone else seemed unfazed by the sight of him. Which he was as well after awhile but when he 'teleported' to his side suddenly he winced and jumped to the side a bit as he felt vines crawl up the arch of his feet in a comforting matter from within the grass.

"What is the arena challenge?" Wattle asked suddenly certain that he wasn't aware of the event and wished to know what he was getting himself into.

Gigi startles again from Kori's sudden appearance "Kori seriously if you keep popping up and startling people, I will put a bell on you!" She wags her finer at him. She shifts over to make room for Ivan this conversation is getting bigger by the seccond. She smiles at Wattle such cute ignorance she look to the two eager teens, "Well are you boys gonna tell him or do I?"

"The Arena Challenge is an arena where you tear each other apart. The headmaster has it rigged where a contestant will be teleported out of the arena right before a fatal blow. There are several stages to test strength, speed, nerve, and intelligence. It isn't for the faint of heart, I'll grant you. It's perfect for me, though" Ivan explained. "There are several different scenarios that could play out. Everything is unpredictable and it is said to be the next best thing to the field. I have watched for a couple of years now, and I am ready."

"I don't know what I'm goin to do when I get out into the field, but I know I'll be coming back just to annoy you Ivan. I might even get hired as a teacher or an assistant, that would even be better." He looks over to Gigi "I think you should explain it to our plant friend over ther

Wattle readjusted his hood quietly as he listened to Ivan's words, the teen permeating confidence and arrogant pride. But by how he explained the arena challenge it didn't sound like a simple game something to just rank those who participated. It was definitely not his cup of tea, and Wattle didn't even drink tea so at the moment he wasn't very set on the idea of taking part. But the way the vines clutching his feet tightened their grasp made him feel somewhat obligated to do so. The silent plant life nudging him to step out of his comfort zone,

"It doesn't sound very enjoyable but maybe I'll join. Even if I know I'll lose, it'll probably end with you two facing off." Wattle stated truthfully as he referred to Kori and Ivan.

"And plant friend?" He repeated the reasonably taller boys words.
