The Eldritch Tools and Subsequent Tragedy
-
Eldrich Tools are paired into tiers depending on their reach upon the world.
X- These artifacts can affect the entire global and anything beyond it.
S- These artifacts can affect an entire country, such as The Torch.
A- Anything that is not placed in to the two above categories.
The myth behind their existence is that they were used to forge reality itself and subsequently left behind by the gods. They have been ill-used by mankind the second that the tools were within grasp. The Torch is one of such devices. The flames of The Torch will burn infinitely: it will burn underneath the surface of the water, or in the midst of a raging tornado. Its appearance is not different from that of a typical torch. The only indicator that something is "off" is the fact that the flames always appear to be blowing towards the west even in placid winds.
The Torch was discovered by what used to be a fledgling. The boys name was Xerxai and he found the torch whilst hunting for his family. It was left at a shrine in an inconspicuous manner. Day was coming to an end and he had no other source of light-- he had taken the torch from its rest for himself. Due to the torch's gift, that boy Xerxai had soon become Emperor Xerxai. Anyone who gazes at the flame whilst it is wielded by a living creature will have their very soul ensnared by its flames. They will become void of willpower and the wielders words will become their law. He had taken the torch to many speeches across the region and soon-- an entire country was built for his own enjoyment.
The country of Haigen was practically founded overnight. When other leaders came to question its conception they had found themselves under the spell of Xerxai. Soon thereafter, many large contributions were given to Haigen-- this was believed to be the work of his own honeyed words rather than magic. Xerxai had enjoyed his rule over his country for some time before he had grown ill. The man was desperate to find a cure for his illness, he had gathered all of the citizens within his city to hear his plead. With his torch in hand he had demanded the men and women around the city craft a cure to rid him of his illness. The entire city was under his spell and they had lost all sense of self. The only thing they strived for was a cure to rend their sick kings illness. Yet, it had never came. When his heart stopped beating so did the hearts of all that he enthralled. As quickly as it was founded, Haigen had fallen. Many dead had laid flat on the streets and in their homes. Leaders of the world who were under the spell of Xerxai had passed as well and without warning. Historians had dubbed the event the Tragedy of Haigen. The power behind the torch was eventually discovered and it was subsequently hidden away from humanities reach by NULL.

Magic and Setting
-
The setting is fantasy, but for simplicity the only race allowed will be human. The setting is not too advanced-- the trebuchet would be something that is relatively new. Magic is something that is cast. Think the elder scrolls or DND. Here is an example of something that you may find on a profile since it is hard to explain.
Arcana- is the catalyst of miracles. It can be found in every living thing and it serves as a fuel to perform amazing feats. It can be used to manipulate the elements, craft illusions and enhance ones physical strength.
(You may use weapons/spells that are not listed so long as they fit the theme of the class.)
The Knight - The Knight favors a less subtle approach than the other classes. They wear heavy armor that lighter weapons will have a rough time churning through. They are slow, but incredibly sturdy. Their use of Arcana revolves altering their own bodies capabilities to turn the tides on their enemy. They can resist stagger, create barriers and bolster the physical strength of themselves and allies. When it comes to weaponry, they are the most diverse. They will typically brandish heavier weaponry, such as large swords, battle axes, war hammers or spears. But, it is not uncommon to see a knight wielding the typical blade and shield.
The Rogue - The rogue is quick and cunning, they are lithe on their feet and adept at shrouding themselves in plain sight. They are masters of the bow and arrow, with it they may take out unsuspecting enemies from beyond the veil. With Arcana they may draft illusions to get people to do precisely what they want and make their bodies unperceivable to the naked eye. When it comes to weaponry, they are most prominent with daggers and the bow and arrow. They may carry short swords, but never a heavy shield. Some of them carry bucklers to parry attacks from their opponents and strike back hard with a riposte.
The Mage - Unlike the other classes, The Mage is not skilled with any form of weaponry. Instead they are fully reliant on arcana. It is to be expected that they would be the best at utilizing its abilities. The mage may incorporate fire, ice, lightning, wind, water and the very earth itself in the spells they cast. In addition they may use the more primal form of darkness. With it, they may lay curses on their opponent to inhibit their combat abilities. This could include things like blinding them, exhausting them, or stunning them. The most vicious abilities mages have access to is to silence the abilities of others. This will keep them from using arcana or stop a spell in its tracks.
The Priest - The priest is similar to the mages, but instead they focus wholly on bolstering their allies rather than inhibiting their opponents. They utilize the force of light to mend the wounds of themselves and the wounds of others. In their main hand they will carry their preferred form a weaponry. That is typically either a mace or morning star. In their offhand, they will carry the religious scripture of their choice, typically the Book of the Ureki. The religious scripture is enchanted and serves as a sort of grimoire for the priest to cast their spells.
Not acceptable: Fire Manipulation- Character can create and manipulate fire in any way they like.
Acceptable: Fire Ball - After some effort the character can spawn a ball of fire in their hand that will explode shortly after it is thrown.
Not acceptable: Regeneration- This character can regenerate small amounts of damage automatically.
Acceptable- Hasted Recovery- After charging a ball of light in their palms for a few moments, they will release it to quicken the healing process for a few seconds.

The Religion of Ureki
-
The Urekis have a sole deity of worship by the name of Amon. Amon is believed to be the creator of everything you see around you, from the soil beneath your feet to the stars in the sky. He is not necessarily kind nor malicious. The Ureki simply know him as the all-powerful creator. They pray to him, hoping that he will continue to bless the earth with his vegetables and his cattle. There are shrines scattered across the barren land that are dedicated to sacrifice. The sacrifice is meant to be personal; you will see curious items at these shrines like toys or rings. These were things that had meant something very special to someone at one point of their lives.
The Urekis are by far the largest religion in the current world. They have a church in just about every city, sometimes more depending on the city's size. They value humbleness, respect and charity for those who share their beliefs; they are not cruel to those that do not, but they will ostracize them. Those who do not share their religion are not yet civil. They will reach out to those lost few in an attempt to enlighten them, which does not always yield the desired results. They are exceptionally kind to those within their circle, if they need a pillow to lay their head or food-- they will grant it. There are things that are obviously taboo in their religion, however. These things are what you may expect, murder, thieving, prostitution and fornication are all things that are heavily scrutinized.
The greatest taboo is associated with the objects that are called the eldritch tools. Their documentation is something that is somewhat modern and their existence isn't something that is globally acknowledged quite yet. The Urekis do have a theory regarding their existence, they believe these to be the tools left behind by Amon after the conception of Earth. They were not meant to be used by men and they never should be. The Urekis fear what would happen if Amon were to witness one of his tools being used by another. The Urekis give a great deal of support to NULL, via funding and offer their agents shelter at the numerous churches they have scattered about. NULL does not wish to disrupt this very beneficial alliance, so they refuse to use the eldritch tools for any purpose. If a collector is caught using a tool they will be terminated and subsequently sent to a Ureki Bishop for punishment.
