What magic affinity would barriers?

Well, in general, when people go to offer up prayers, they tend to just give a blanket prayer to all of the gods - this is to avoid making certain gods feel like they're not being appreciated.
In terms of specific prayers... for some reason, the Dark Goddess is the one who receives the most calls. Though, in all fairness, these prayers tend to consist of things like 'please don't let it get too dark' or 'hide me in shadows so my ex doesn't see me'.
She's... less than amused about the fact that these are the prayers she gets.

Barriers would be seen as Practical, because they're excellent for people who go into the wilderness to gather things.
Also, a quick heads up about your character animegirl20 -
People only have one Affinity, so you have to decide which one you want to keep. Also, the Champion Skill has to be directly related to the affiliated god, so for a God of Protection, it wouldn't involve draining energy from local fauna.

Lightning is seen as a byproduct of excess magic in the air, so it's therefore not a true Element. Meanwhile, steel is a product of Earth magic, so while it's not its own true Element, it is technically an Element by association. If that makes sense.

Oh yeah. There are different regional branches, sure, but organized religion exists.
They're all definitely going to have Opinions(tm) about the group, especially if it gets out that their actions are somehow defying the gods.

1. The region the group lives in has a European-style of religious organization.
2. There is a local church in the town.

If someone's type of magic is blessing would their general blessings only relate to their affiliated god or would it just be that their champion skill is related to that god?

A Champion's Skill is the primary thing that's related to their affiliated god. If their Affinity is Blessing, then they can aim their prayers at any god they choose.
Their affiliated god will be incredibly miffed, though.

Ahh, that was me trying to hastily describe what religious practices are like in Clearview (AKA Big fancy church, priests/priestesses saying 'Heresy Bad, Gods Good/Infallible).
.... I now realize that was all a weird roundabout way describing Christianity/Catholicism....

Weeeelllllll, here's the thing.
Humans believe that they're the only civilized species in the world (AKA have a connection to the gods), but that's because they're really, really bad at realizing that these people with pointed ears are actually another race.
AKA, Elves exist, they're more dexterous than the average human, and they kinda just keep the fact that they're not fellow humans to themselves. I mean, look how humans react to anything that's not them...

The youngest age the characters can be is 18. This is mostly because a group of teenagers (or having a teen accompanying a group of young adults) would raise far too many questions in-universe.

Edit: Oh, and this is a fantasy setting, so gangs and police don't exist - could you change it to bandits and guards?
