Rules of The Extraneous Variety
Hiatus Rules:
1. Tell me in advance if you are going to go on Hiatus or you will have explaining to do if you expect to come back
2. Don’t hesitate to go on Hiatus if you need to, being gone a week or two, even if it’s just to de-stress, is better than struggling through for a month. A person that’s half here doesn’t just harm themselves they slow down the rp.
3. If you make a habit of constantly being in one week out another then we’re gonna have to ask you to drop the rp until you’re sure you can commit. After all that’s really not healthy for anyone if they are constantly moving from stress to stress.
4. During a hiatus your characters will not be npc’d or toted around. The best part of telling me in advance is that we can make it make sense in story.
You have to be gone a week? A teacher calls you out about your grades or a family related call. Need to be gone a month? Vacation.
In the middle of battle, You got knocked out. For a longer period of time? You’re in a coma.
This not only allows for you to have in game reason for not knowing wtf is happening but it allows other people the room to get suprise character development by meeting someone new, or focusing more on training, or taking life more seriously as their friend is in the hospital.

About Character Creation:
1. Realistically I don’t know how many characters you can handle, having one number fits all never really works. So you can make however many you can handle.
2. You have to be able to post twice a week with that character, minimum if it’s a student. Teachers are more nebulous as they post when needed so harder to judge, in general try to keep under 48 to reply when needed. GM Villains post as plot needs.
What’s important is that it’s not You have to post 2 times a week it’s the character does. If you have 5 students You have to post 10 times a week.
The only exceptions to this is if you have mentioned you are going to be late to your partners (don't take advantage of this, refer to hiatus rule 3), you’re waiting on a reply before you can post, or you’re on hiatus
3. If you have an unfillable void, the option is always up to make npcs to fill Nagoya. This is not a guarantee that npc will be used. You can use them though on the weekends if you so wish. Know that making an npc allows anyone to be able to use them so a brief and not extensive personality is preferred over an essay on them as a person. The only exceptions to this is if you have mentioned you are going to be late to your partners (don't take advantage of this, refer to hiatus rule 3), you’re waiting on a reply before you can post, or you’re on hiatus
