Futuristic E.S.C.A.P.E. - Experimental Secure Containment Act of Protecting Earth

As the door swung open, at least two dozen guards waited on the other side, ready turn the group into Swiss cheese. Moscow, by instinct created an icy shield, blocking most of his body. The guards appeared to be trigger happy, as their captian said "Move, and we shoot!" Several began approaching the group with sedatives. Meanwhile, Moscow, was preparing himself to create an ice spike. Based on his new companion's response, it seemed he was the leader, Moscow would wait for Kai to make a move.

Conner stood stock still. He had been following the group, locating himself near the rear, watching as the group gathered around the door, apparently stuck until one of them had used psychic force, examining the actions of the members of the group, quietly storing them for processing at a later date. Assuming they weren't all recaptured, which seemed likely seeing how the doors had opened to show more than just a few guards. He hoped he'd made the right decision, and that the people by his side could fight. Just in case, though, he began to chart escape routes in case this all went south.

Natsu bounced in excitement at the upcoming tension. "Oh this is so exciting!" Her pigtails were floating as if she were on the moon. She looked at the others they seemed so serious, she stopped bouncing and looked at the group. She really didn't know much of them, but she was happy to get to know them. She floated a few inches around the ground and leaned over to one of them and whispered in a friendly, but loud voice "so what's going on? Is this a new test?"

Kai, being still at the front of the group, had to think quickly to deal with the mass of guards in front of them. He was ordered not to move, but he slowly put his hands up, as a gesture of defeat. The guards didn't fire on him, as they were familiar with this action. All subjects were forced to do it after their tests were complete and it was time to re-bind them.

"I'm the one that started all of this. I'm the most powerful out of everyone here, take me," he said, allowing the guard to approach him. The taunt worked, as the guard grabbed his choke-pole and extended it. He reached out to grab Kai by the neck, and Kai took action. In one swift movement, Kai grabbed the pole and swung it sideways, ripping it from the guard's hands. Kai then swung the pole around and slammed it against the guards head hard, and Kai kicked the guard backwards into two of the previous guards. Kai took a step back. This all happened too fast for him to think about it, and too fast for the guards to react. Before even a second had passed, Kai was unsure what to do next, the guards would surely start shooting. Kai took out three guards in one movement, and it happened in slow motion as the rest of the group began to spring into action.

Zack, who had still been standing next to the reptile thing, and the assault rifle he stole, froze when told too. He waited to see if someone would make some kind of move... Then one did. With barely a hesitation, he turned the gun and began spraying the occupants with a hail of bullets, ensuring not to hit any friendlies. "reptile, I'll need to borrow that nose of yours." he said while he was still near it. A guard managed to get a tazer shot off and it was headed for Kai. Zack shot out one of his wings to block the round. The feathers were dense enough to slow it to a halt, but there was nothing there to taze, so zack was unharmed. The same thing can't be said for the guard, who swiftly could three bullets in the brain. Conveniently, there was Zacks weapon by the guards bleeding head. A clear perspex cylinder with a quick release lock on the top. He swiftly snatched it up and slung it over his shoulder. He still had one issue to resolve before he could use his weapon. The neural implant in his brain is not active. He made a note to talk to the cyborg looking lady, having noted how she opened the door. He looted the tazer gun and searched for the reptile among the chaos.

As soon as the metal doors slid open, it seemed all hell had broken loose. She had expected guards to be behind it, but never so many. They came out with their guns pointed at each of them. The room was silent for a moment or two. The boy with jet black hair pretended to raise his hands in defeat. A trick all guards fell for no matter what. When the guards dropped their defenses, Kai sprung into action. The other experiments around her were soon to follow his footsteps. Fights between the others and the armored men grew brutal, gun shots ringing out all around her. Eve found herself standing in the middle of the chaos, watching with burning eyes as everything unfolded. Eventually, one guard took notice of her. The two locked gazes.

In an instant, he raised his gun and shot. It rang out like a drum. The movement was so quick and easy. Her mind hadn't comprehended that the bullet had reached her, and cut through her in such a small amount of time. She stumbled back for a second, gripping her stomach with a single hand. Pain pulsated through her fiercely, causing a tingle of electricity to run up her spine. Eve removed a hand from her stomach. A dark splotch of blood had been painted against her palm. But something was different about it. It throbbed gently in a humble glow of different colors. Small forks of electricity lashed out like miniature lightning bolts throughout the liquid.

The guard shot the rifle again as Eve stared down at the exotic blood in her hands. She took another step back at the pop. The bullet sped through her shoulder, and came out the other side. Again, computerized blood dripped down and splattered the sleek floor. The feeling of pain was unknown to her. Instead of withering in pain, she stood motionless and with a blank expression.

Prepared to take the final pull of the trigger, the guard aimed his scope at her forehead. The bullet left its place, and shot out in a ring of sound. But before it could meet its target, the silver bullet stopped midair, inches from her forehead. She stared at its gleaming shell and watched it fall to the ground in a series of clinks. The guard stood in astonishment. Her hand reached out and touched the metal wall next to her. Seconds later, the rifle began to shake just as the other guards weapons had done before. Each rifle was pulled from the guards hands, and slammed against the wall she was touching. It left each guard completely weaponless, and vulnerable. Her eyes continued to lock with the guard who had shot her.

With a single flick of her wrist, Eve pulled out the rifle strapped to her back and shot him dead between the eyes. Blood splattered like an abstract painting against the floor, and he fell in a heap of crimson. Eve stared at the other experiments, waiting for them to finish the rest.

Reza snarled, wishing she had escaped when she had the chance. Now she stood face to face with a set of guards, she was all but prepared to lunge in, rather die than be caught again. She took a step forward before Kai held out his hand, the whoosh of air enough of a sign for her to stop. It didn't take long for the guards to take the bait and be defeated. It wasn't until she heard the buzz of a taser and the fires of the gunshots that she became aware of someone calling out "reptile". She turned toward the voice and stood on her back feet, close to seven feet tall, head close to brushing the fluorescent lights on the roof.

Zack found the reptile easily enough. It was hard to miss. Suddenly he had a blinding headache and was launched across the room. The latter didn't help the headache, and he hit the wall before the cyborg quite hard. Not enough to break anything, thankfully, but it would still hurt a lot. He was released from the wall and fell to the floor in a heap. His head now throbbed. "please never do that again..." he said, but it was quiet, and lost in the chaos of gunfire and warcries of sorts.

Kai grabbed one of the deceased guard's knife from it's sheath, flipped it so the blade was between his thumb and pointer finger, and gave it a quick toss at the last guard. Well, he thought, there's a good amount of fight in this group. He stepped into the small room, with all kinds of futuristic weaponry in it. He grabbed what he was trained to use; an arsenal of different knives. He also grabbed a cloak that was meant to match his surroundings so he could blend in and become "invisible."

He looked at the group. "Grab what you know, we're going to need it," he said, before walking out of the room and stepping back, waiting for the others to grab their own weapons.

Sai looked at the guards, he immediately created a telekinetic barrier to defend himself from their fire. He then sent the barrier in a wave at three guards in front of him knocking them back. He then took a step forward and sent another telekinetic wave to send them smashing against a far wall unconscious. Sai watched as the others defeated guards one by one. When it seemed all the guards were defeated he walked into the Armory. He quickly found the items assigned to him, he clipped his energy sword to his belt though it was currently deactivated and he activated the little robot thag grants him his Powered Armor. It hovered in the air around him booting up the rest of it's functions. "So we rush the elevator next, right?" Sai asked.

Eve watched quietly as each guard was taken down effortlessly by the others. Her vision blurred every few seconds, and a crackling nose rang out in the back of her head. She looked down at the bullet wounds. The glowing blood continued to flow freely, dripping to the floor and creating a puddle. Her hand against the wall had apparently caused another experiment to fling against it as well. He collapsed next to her, and told Eve never to do that again. But she was not listening. Eve collapsed to her knees beside him. Her heart ran a million miles an hour. The electricity that supported her was beginning to lessen.

In a soft, weak whisper, she responded to the male beside her.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know."

Her eyes were glassy and completely unemotional, despite the pain she felt surging through her. The other experiments began to head into the armory ahead, which was now free of guards. Eve let out a breath, and forced herself to stand up. She offered him a hand, but did not smile. As if she couldn't.

Conner had stood, trying to avoid being seen by the guards, probably only succeeding because of how well the others could hold their own, a fact that made him feel significantly safer. As soon as the guards were down, he darted into the armory, quickly finding the daggers he had learned to use, frantically searching throughout for his other items. Upon finding them, he slipped on the hoodie, stuffing the note pad in one of the pockets, and after a bit of deliberation, slipped the pencil in, too.

He made sure the daggers and knife he'd taken were properly sheathed, slipping them in his pocket. That's probably not the way to store those, he thought, promising himself to study up on it when- if he escaped. The fact that he was in fact in the process of trying to escape hadn't really caught up with him, and it was a bit of a thrill. He grinned, glad to know he had weapons he knew how to use if need be and wouldn't have to try to use a gun.

Zack accepted the offered hand. His vision cleared and he saw the cyborg lady, blood and all. His mind raced, aided by adrenalin. His glanced at the tazer gun that had been in his hand. But it was removed by the magnetic field. He looked back at the lady. "need a jump start?" he asked, picking the tazer gun up and checking it. "also, mind activating a little implant in my brain? I noticed you might be the only one to be able to do that. In return, I could seal those wounds of yours."

Eve listened to the man's words before her. She gave him a curt nod in agreement, and gently reached a hand up to the side of his head. Her fingertips brushed against his hair softly, and pushed down onto his skull. A tiny tingle of shock trickled through him. Her brain felt the signal waves wafting off from the implant as it came back to life gradually. The large usage of electricity caused Eve to stumble backwards, unable to support herself any longer. Like a dying lightbulb, the computerized streaks running throughout her body began to flicker. Her eyes widened. Immediately, she stuck out an arm towards him. It shook violently.

"Do it now." She urged him, a slight tone of desperation in her voice.

Zack acted immediately, shooting her with the tazer gun. "if you were that low, i could have tazed you first!" he yelled. He quickly dumped the tazer, reached back to open the container on his back and reached in. The fluid easily moulded around his hand and he manipulated it down to his other hand. This was to avoid any chance of him getting shocked. He supported her if her balance was to fail during the jump start, and set about sealing her wounds with the fluid. He made it as flesh-like as he could make it, and made it porous on the inside. Blood could still flow, but it could no longer leak away. However none of the circuits would be repaired in the act.

Eve felt her vision begin to blur in and out once more. The jolt of the tazer against her electric skin caused a spring of energy to flow. Like she had been awakened from a deep slumber. She flinched visibly, her heart racing faster and faster with each moment. Gradually, it began to slow to a more normal pace. Her vision cleared, and she glanced down in curiosity at Zack's strange liquid. He dabbed it over her bullet wounds, stopping the blood flow and concealing it. But the electrical circuit running through her was left unfixed and broken. Sooner or later, Eve would need to manually put them back into place.

"Thank you..." The woman murmured in gratitude. The fear of dying had evaporated into smoke now.

The tazer round having done it's duty, Zack removed and discarded it. "no problem. Name's Zack. You able to keep yourself upright?" he asked. He still wore much of the fluid as gloves. His jar was just over one third empty. "and don't do that magnetic trick again. It would rip this stuff right out of you." he warned.

"Eve." The woman responded simply, but in a soft voice. The colored streams running through her veins became lively once again, and throbbed with different shades of color. She rose to a normal stance beside him. It seemed her strength had finally regained itself back. She nodded at him, and let a small smile spread across her lips.

"I'll be okay. Don't worry about me." Eve murmured. Her burning orange eyes swiveled to look at the armory down at the end of the hallway. The other experiments were already arming themselves. She glanced at Zack for a split second before looking back at the armory.

"Let's hurry. They'll leave without us." Eve strode past him at a fast pace, and began searching specifically for her things. A familiar bag came into view. She crouched low in front of it, and pulled it open. Laying inside, was a single black handgun, ammunition, and a picture seemingly of her family. Her orange eyes softened for a moment. She grasped the picture gently between her fingertips and observed the faces in the picture. Her mother, father, brother, and herself stood there. All of them smiled happily next to each other, completely free of worries. A stroke of sadness hit her in a wave.

She ended up dropping the picture back inside the bag, swooping out the handgun, and cocking it. Her hand flew to a sniper rifle resting on one of the shelves. It was not black, but a shining chrome silver. She studied it before putting her handgun into a holster on her belt, and holding the sniper with two hands. Eve had been trained specifically with all types of guns. Mostly by the influence of her older brother.

Zack collected a random backpack. He had no clue what was in it, but he took it anyway. For others sake, it contained mostly clothing. This clothing would be prototype stuff that even has built-in climate controls, among other things. The rest of the contents was some general survival equipment, such as a flashlight with spare batteries, flint and steel, a knife, and a simple medical kit. He slung that over his back and wriggled his wings through the straps so they weren't flattened against his back, which is rather uncomfortable. He then met back up with Eve again. "there's still someone I have to find yet. She's in the animal wing somewhere. I was hoping the reptile thing could help me find her specifically."

Alyxa ran down the hallway with her pack of escapees behind her. "Where's the elevator?!" She huffed.

A male instructed her. "Turn left here! Right!" Following his directions, she ran, the M16 swinging in her hands.

Alyxa ran past the birds, kittens, puppies and any other animal she saw past the bars. Focus on running, don't stop.
