Character Sheet

Name

Philander Gentry, "Phil" to close friends, "Gent" to everyone else.

Age

Thirty-three.

Gender

Male.

ID Number

#67315

Party Affiliation

The Rebel Party - Influenced by the whims of his ex, Mr. Gentry believed it wise to join Ms. Ture if only to make sure she didn't go too far. He, too, believes in the Party's values and cause, but he is far too cautious to make that known to anyone other than himself. Should his reticence lead to his loyalty being called into question, so be it - his conscience is clear.

Occupation

Singer, actor for small bit pieces and commercials. He enjoys the former. The latter, not so much. He would never call himself an artist, but he has an affinity for melancholic music. Acting gigs supplement his modest income.

Background

He began as an intern at a news station, built himself up to radio host, switched from media to the entertainment industry, dreamt up a talk show that went nowhere, and settled into composing folk music. His English degree collects as much dust as photo albums are wont to do. His family was well to-do, to a suffocating point, and Mr. Gentry made it a point to limit their interactions in order to maintain some semblance of amicability. Part of his almost-estrangement had to do with his choice in partners. While Emily Ture was not the first woman he ever saw, she was the only one who he told his parents of. When they chose to break things off, his parents were furious. Naturally, this sent him right back into the arms of one Mr. Reid.

It was through his choice in bedfellows that he realized all wasn't as it seemed in Summerfair, oddly enough.

A little more dapper than most, Mr. Gentry puts a great deal of work into his appearance. His mother drilled that well into him. Force of habit and perhaps a hint of vanity keeps him reaching for the mousse. It's rare that one will ever find him out of a suit. He has exactly one sweatshirt in his wardrobe and he only ever wears it to the gym.

Personality

People say that Mr. Gentry was born into the wrong era. He is often described by his contemporaries as "a pretentious asshole". Although he presents himself as a gentleman, he truly is as judgmental as others think him to be. People ought to know better and yet they continue to disappoint him time and time again. He's smart enough to keep his opinions to himself, though, and continues to charm those who aren't so prone to envy.

There's a reason why Emily kept him a secret from her other friends.

He has a tendency to gravitate towards strong personalities that stand out against his polite demeanor. Mr. Gentry is more willing to lower his guard around those he doesn't consider a threat, but his list for what constitutes "threats" is rather long. One only becomes privy to such information by seeing him outside of public view.

Deep down, he's not as unaffected as he pretends to be. He feels incredibly out of place with nowhere to belong - and he craves that connection. He craves that sense of purpose. Trying to create a purpose for himself has been less than successful.

Relationships

Friends

Surprise him. Catch him off guard. Catch him when he's being too smart for his own good. If you can outwit him or see through his bullshit, he'll respect you all the more for it. Emily knows that he's mostly hot air, that talk is his way of staying calm. The sound of his own voice keeps out the thoughts, the worry, the fears.

Or you could simply kill him with kindness.

(Fr)Enemies

Insult his hair.

Jokes aside, he doesn't really care for people who elevate him. Not that he would call his family "enemies", but they are rather annoying. It takes a lot to provoke him. Gripe as he might over those he disdains, he's not the sort to expend energy holding onto grudges. People like that aren't worth his time. Harm someone he cares for, however, and you might just be the first to see him explode.

Lovers

Ask, and it's rare that he'll say no to a fun night.

For something more long-lasting, they have to have a complementary personality with him. Someone who is too like him would be better suited as a friend. What he needs is a partner who won't enable his flaws and say things as they are. Confessions turn him off, however. Unless he's already pining, the thought of someone fawning over him and watching his every step ranges from jarring to mildly disgusting. Granted, anyone who stays the course might just prove that he can't always be right.

  • Name: Taron Yi

    Age: 21

    Gender: Male

    ID Number: #23194

Party Affiliation: He was born into the Moderate Party, silently following the rules and having no specific opinion towards the Government or the Rebels. While some of his classmates grew up learning that the Grand Government was their savior and the Rebels needed to be avoided by all means possible, his disinterest towards the dreadfully boring subject of History kept him from developing any biased opinion regarding either parties. If he didn't experience any of the things he read from his textbooks, it didn't matter to him. But rules were rules and it was best to follow them if he wanted to keep out of messy situations.

> Corinna Castillo

Corinna "Cori" Castillo

23, October 13th

Female

#23489

Party Affiliation> The Rebel Party. Corinna was born to a family immersed in the Government and the drugs they feed them. And as a child, she was happy to go along with their affiliation, something never seemed right. Corinna didn't understand how easily her parents cast aside good friends, good family members who dared to say that maybe the Government is flawed, maybe things should be different. After a lifetime of sheltered thinking, Corinna developed a bit of a hateful view of her Government and the people who followed it like sheep, causing her to join the Rebel party.

Occupation> Pharmaceutical Technician. She thinks her job is a little boring, and would prefer to do something else, but Imogene insists she keep this job, so they can continue working together.

Background> Corinna is close with her twin sister, Imogene. Maybe unnaturally close. Where one goes, the other is sure to follow. She is not so close to her family, leaving it to her twin to keep in contact. Corinna just barely graduated highschool, and had already been on her way to being a Pharmaceutical Tech by the time she graduated. Corinna has a Mom, a Dad, and a dog named Beryl back home, and lives with her twin sister in a shared apartment.

Appearence> (Both Corinna and Imogene share the same faceclaim, but with differences) Corinna is a tall, rail-skinny girl with short, choppy, dark hair and brown eyes. She has floral tattoos over her shoulders and back, and can be easily covered for work. She's also the nail-biter type so no pretty hands here. Her right arm is moderately scarred, while the left one is unscathed. Her style of clothing is ripped jeans and wife-beaters, and despite her tomboyish demeanor, Corinna actually loves high heels, even if she has nothing to wear them with.

Personality> A sharp-tongue, clever individual who isn't so great at tact, Corinna often ends up doing enough talking for both her and Imogene. She often takes charge of situations, and likes to call the shots whenever she can. She is also an open-book, with no poker-face what so ever, making her the worst twin at lying, and impeccably honest, even if that honesty gets her in trouble sometimes. Corinna has never eaten a sandwich with the crust on, as she always makes Imogene cut it off, and can't stand overly wordy people. She likes to get straight to the point, no sidetracking.

Her favorite color is Red.

Relationships> The most important relationship in Corinna's life is the one she has with her twin sister. Imogene always comes first, above all else. Every girlfriend and boyfriend and Corinna has ever had has complained about one thing. Corinna rarely goes anywhere without her sister. As such, she's practically given up on dating, considering she'd never leave her twin to fend for herself in a million years. Corinna loves Imogene dearly, even if the other gets on her nerves sometimes.

Friends wise, if you're kind to her, and if you're kind to Imogene, you'll get along just fine. Corinna can't stand people who needlessly pick on others, and those types of people often find themselves the target for her particular brand of wrath- pranks. She's always looking for a way to pull a good prank on someone.

Corinna happens to also give great advice, even if she rarely ever takes her own, and she's liable to give the people around her advice, whether they want it or not.

> Imogene Castillo

superthumb.jpg

Imogene "Moe" Castillo

23, October 13th

Female

#23490

Party Affiliation>The Moderate Party. Imogene would of been perfectly fine living her whole life unquestioning of the Government, if not for Corinna's influence. And though she's not entirely sure what the big deal about taking Ecstasy and being compliant is, the things Corinna says worries her. She doesn't wish to be a sheep to anyone, and over time, she's become distrustful of the Government and it's influence just as Corinna has. Though she does not object as strongly as her sister does, the seed of doubt is still there, leading her to identify with the Moderate Party.

Occupation> Pharmaceutical Technician. She loves her job and getting up early everyday just so she can go to work. Though it makes her sad that Corinna hates it, she greatly appreciates her sister toughing it out for her.

Background> Imogene is relatively close with all her family, but nothing compares to the bond she shares with her sister. Since Corinna won't answer their mom's phone calls, Imogene makes it her job to keep in contact with their family, just so they'll know they're alright. Imogene graduated top of her class at her highschool, and was even the Vice-President for her class.

Appearance> Imogene isn't as thin as her sister, but they're both relatively short. Imogene likes to keep her hair long, and color it a rich brown when the mood suits her.She has a very neat and tidy appearance, with her nails, hair, and makeup always done, and always wears jewelry. Her style is very floral, with skirts and dresses being a staple of her wardrobe. She never understands why, but Corinna always buys heels for herself, but can never wear them! Consequentially, all of Imogene's shoes are the ones Corinna buys but can't wear.

Personality> A quiet individual who is content to just listen. She used to be much shyer, until Corinna forced her out of her shell. Now Imogene can have full conversations with people and look them in the eye while she does it! Imogene is a follower, not a leader, and while it's a little embarrassing how much she relies on Corinna to take the reins, she's always grateful her sister does the hard things for her.Imogene is a bit of a neat and tidy person, almost to the point of being obsessive about it. Things being out of place bother her, and she'll focus on it until the problem is resolved. She is also very conscious of germs and what she's touching, and refuses to use shopping carts.

Her favorite color is Green!

Relationships> She's never had any sort of romantic relationship before, and has never really been interested. She'd much rather focus on one of her many hobbies, like baking, knitting, and feeding stray animals.

Imogene loves to make friends though, and she constantly organizes get-togethers for all her friends. Her favorites are themed parties. Sometimes it gets lonely with just Corinna, and though she's her most important person in the world, Imogene sometimes wishes she had the confidence to break free and live on her own, and maybe do a few things for herself for a change.

Andi Grayson

Basics

Name: Andi Grayson

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Height: 5'8"

Weight: 150

ID Number: #98531

Affiliation: Strongly affiliated with the Rebel Party

Occupation: Technically unemployed - she spends all of her time plotting and battling with the rebellion.

Appearance

maxresdefault.jpg

Andi is of average height and build, muscles toned strong from her vigorous daily regiment. Her hair is dirty blonde and straight, her eyes a dull gray that can be the gateway to her heart or a mirror revealing nothing of herself to those looking in. Andi doesn't fuss over her appearance at all. She frequently has a dirty face and messy hair hastily thrown into a bun - only to keep it out of her face so she can always see. She doesn't bother with buying new clothes, so most of hers are somewhat shabby. Her favorite color is teal.

Personality

Ever since the incident, it's rare to see Andi smile. She used to joke around and be pretty light hearted about things, but now... Now she's much different. Now she's always serious and can rarely take a joke. She ignores anyone who tries to make light of a situation and has no time for anyone not fully dedicated to her cause. She is angry a lot of the time, either for a particular reason or not - it doesn't really matter. She frequently loses her temper and yells at others, even if they weren't the source of her anger in the first place. Sometimes she apologizes for these outbursts, sometimes she doesn't bother. She spends almost every moment of her free time working out, mostly because it keeps her busy and allows her an outlet for her pent up rage. She is fiercely loyal to those who have earned her trust and her respect, but recently even that loyalty isn't as important as her mission - to aid the rebellion until its demise or her own. She doesn't truly believe that the government's corruption can be turned around. She has accepted that her cause is most likely ultimately futile. But she'd be damned if she was going to quit now, after losing the man she loved to it. She'd keep going until it killed her too. The only thing holding her back from an all out suicidal charge was her little sister..... Andi knew that when she died, Wendy would have nowhere else to go and that thought in the back of her head stopped her in her reckless tracks more often than she liked.

Relationships

Andi liked her parents well enough, but they were never super close to her. She always felt that they didn't really understand her, which was fine by her. She didn't really understand them either. She was saddened when they died, but it didn't really affect her much since they hadn't even talked for years before it happened.

Her little sister Wendy was her best friend when Andi still lived at home. They shared a bedroom and would always talk late into the night when they were supposed to be sleeping. They'd talk about their current lives, funny things that happened or jokes they heard, they'd talk about their past together, and they'd talk about their hopes and dreams for the future. They shared everything when they were young. Before she left, Andi talked to Wendy about seeing the world. She told her little sister all about the adventures she was going to have. Wendy had been happy to hear the stories, but was of course very sad when her big sister left. Andi was sad too, but was quite busy with her new life, free from her overbearing parents. That was five years ago, when Andi was 17 and Wendy was 11.

Andi found her soul mate in Joe Freeman. He was handsome, funny, wise, and worldly. He seemed to know the answers to all her questions about life and about the universe. He shared her wanderlust and took her to see amazing sights all over the country. He was sweet and tender to her when they were alone, a natural leader and brave warrior among their resistance peers, and an excitable little boy when he was happy. They were head over heels in love with each other short months after meeting. They didn't formally get married, but they did make vows to each other to be loyal until death separated them. Little did they know how soon such a thing would happen.

Andi has retained friendship with many of her rebellion comrades that knew her before the incident, though those friendships are repeatedly strained by her anger and resistance to any offers of help they might offer. Anyone new coming into her life will find it extremely difficult to earn her trust or friendship. She has no time for pleasure and wastes not a minute in friendly banter - particularly with people she doesn't know. She will give respect for those who prove their worth to the cause, though she's rarely vocal about such things.

Background

Andi grew up in a normal household. Both her parents had full time jobs. She and her younger sister went to public school. The whole family took their pills like their government asked.

Andi always felt as if she was destined for so much more. For fame, glory, and adventure. She knew she would never be complacent with the simple, solid life her parents had made for themselves. She wanted to go out and see the world, meet as many new people as she could, and experience life to the fullest. She wanted to have all the best stories to tell when she eventually did decide to have children.

As soon as she was able, she left home. She was only 17, but of course thought that she was invincible and the world would never fail her. For a few years, it certainly seemed that way. Only a few months after leaving home, she met Joe Freeman and promptly fell in love with him. It wasn't just a fling, either. They both fell deeply, irrevocably in love with each other and vowed to never leave each other. Joe took her to see amazing and beautiful sights across the country, and it seemed as if all her dreams were coming true.

It wasn't until she had been with Joe for more than a year that she learned of his whole life. Turned out, he was heavily involved with a rebellion effort against the government and the ecstasy drugs. At first, Andi didn't understand or really agree with the effort, but Joe was her man and so she helped in small ways anyhow. Over the course of a few months, though, little things began to change her mind on the subject. She heard people talking about the drug and the government forcing it on people, she heard arguments about shady news reports that may or may not have involved government officials
murdering people who spoke out against the drug, and she was enveloped in an entire community who was wholly against the entire thing. It wasn't long before she came to see and agree with their stance.

Joe was of course ecstatic when Andi told him she wanted to help more. She became more heavily involved with the politics and the plotting of the group. Soon she was as much a trusted member as Joe was. A call came one day from her younger sister, whom she hadn't heard from for almost five years. She learned that her parents had died in a car crash, leaving 16 year old Wendy on her own. Andi wasn't much upset at the news of her parents died, since they'd never been very close anyway. She was ecstatic that Wendy would be coming to live with her, though! She did terribly miss her little sister.

Wendy continued her schooling while living with Joe and Andi. The couple continued their rebellion plots, which they didn't really discuss with Wendy, but didn't hide from her either. Wendy seemed to take it all in stride and didn't care to ask any questions. Everything seemed to be going well for Andi, still, until the day her world turned upside down.

Only four months after Wendy came to live with them, Joe went out on a small sting operation with several others from their community. It was a simple mission that they'd done many times before. They had learned of a particular shipment of ecstasy pills and its exact drop off point. They were going in to take the shipment and set it aflame, destroying all the pills within. Normally these went off without a hitch. This time, the truck was armored and had a military escort. All those who went against it were systematically destroyed, either in the initial gun fight or afterward via public executions. Andi's world would never be the same.

She nearly went unhinged when she witnessed Joe's public execution. Her friends held her back and forced her to go home. She punched walls and threw anything within grabbing range out the windows. She collapsed and cried until she had no more tears to give.

She continues on now, determined to die in the same fight that took her Joe from her. She acts recklessly and is furious all of the time. She thinks only of herself and throws herself into her work to avoid simply imploding from the sheer force of her inner rage. She didn't even make a comment when she found out that Wendy had joined the rebellion as well. She didn't even take the time to wonder about her little sister's motivations. Andi is never idle, for idleness is the one thing that brings back all the memories and shared hopes and dreams. Keeping busy keeps those thoughts in the back of her mind, where they are at least tolerable.

Character Sheet

General

Name: Amelia White

Age: 29, born the 17th of November

Height: 5'4"

Occupation: Owner of the Spring Waltz pub, a family establishment and one of many fronts for the Rebel party. Amelia had never quite planned to take on the family business, but it was her only real option after dropping out of high school, and never getting a higher education.

Citizen ID: #71214

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_06/Amelia.png.25578ab8ccaa2fe5d21783d49556f2d2.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="130923" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_06/Amelia.png.25578ab8ccaa2fe5d21783d49556f2d2.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Amelia cares little about her physical appearance, often times putting little more then most basic effort into maintaining a presentable look for her customers. Most of her clothes go unworn as she rarely chooses to spice up her outfit. Occasionally one might find her working a late shift wearing nothing more then a raggedy old pair of sweatpants, a torn sweater and a look of utter contempt. Her favourite colour is grey.

Personal

Political Affiliation

Amelia aligns herself with the Rebel party, though begrudgingly. She disagrees with grand organizations on any level, and though the overthrow of this aristocratic oligarchy had appealed to her, she had always feared that despotism would be replaced by a republic of fools. She always says that people should find their own way in life, independent of any form of government. Some may see her as an anarchist in that respect, but she prefers the term... "Fanatic Individualist." She acts as an informant to the members of the rebellion, picking up information from any and all sources, as her job allows. She also acts as a safe house at times, for anyone who might feel the need to lay low for a while.

Personality

An outspoken and cynical girl since youth, Amelia always manages to find the flaws in absolutely everything, and is more than happy to point them out. With an oddly morose sense of humour and a bleak disposition, she has never found friendship to come easy to her, but the few friends she does have understand her much better then most. Though she sees herself as a dedicated and loyal person, Amelia always has issues seeing things through to the end. She dropped out of high school, and never went back to finish. Many might describe her as clever, though not particularly intellectual. Her speciality had always come in reading people, rather then books. Despite her lack of social grace, she has an easy time telling what other people are thinking, reading between the line of their speech and getting a sense of their real emotion. That skill has lead to quite a bit of enmity from her closest friends, as she tends to pry where she's not wanted. She lacks boundaries for social interaction, and as such is willing to do most anything to get information from someone. Her cynicism and negative outlook lead her to question the smallest things, especially when it comes to the government. An aloof attitude towards most things control-oriented lead her to the opinion of an anarchist, in some ways. She disagrees with the policies of most every form of government, and believes in total freedom, a lack of any despot or state control. Though willing to take part in the Rebel party anyway, she finds herself rarely doing more then her job as an informant and safe house manager. Not being a thrill seeker, she hardly takes any issue in being kept out of the most exciting parts of the rebellion.

Background

Amelia had a boring early life, with two conformist parents that discouraged any questioning of the system, and tried their very best to keep their only daughter on track in life. They took their pills, went to work, came home, ate dinner, went to sleep, and then repeated it all the next day. Being a curious and restless kid, Amelia had found nothing but contempt for the livestock's life her parents had chosen to live, disobeying them constantly and leaving them fretful over her well-being. Despite that, however, in the end her cautious nature won through and she stopped open defiance of the state. Her father had always intended for her to take over his business, a small pub his own father had founded, the Spring Waltz. It was a dank old place, practically falling apart and hardly the place a little girl would dream of working in. When she was 17 she dropped out of high school, and, despite her parents protests, decided to move out, making a living from doing the odd job here and there. Never a romantic person, Amelia turned down all opportunities at love she ever had, and never really regretted it. It was while working as a barista in a small café that she became affiliated with the rebels. The owner was an informant for the group, passing along secrets and information. Entirely by accident, Amelia found herself overhearing one such secret, and soon enough found herself becoming more involved then she had ever hoped to be. When she was 21, her father passed away, his sedentary lifestyle finally catching up to him. Feeling surprisingly sentimental for her dad's old establishment, she took over, and repaired the Spring Waltz to a much more modern condition. Through the bar she continues working for the rebellion, as a safe house and an informant.

Relationships

Making friends has never come easily to Amelia, so its shocking she has few, most of which are her employees. The three people she keeps on staff at the Spring Waltz are her closest friends, all of them also aligned with the rebel party. She keeps relations with her mother brief, not caring enough to tell her more then the basics. She had never desired any romantic connection and still feels the same, though occasionally hooks up with a particularly lonely looking customer after a particularly long day.

Within the rebel party, Amelia has a strict no names policy. Any agent that comes through, be it to hide out or simply for a drink, is forbidden to use any real names on the premises. They could all die some day soon, and she doesn't want to find herself accidentally caring about them.
