...the Story Teller
Unial Corentha. A kingdom, no a world where the people are gifted with magic. This magic is stored in their bodies as children and only surface until the body becomes able to withstand the transformation into a physical trait. A single horn that grows from their foreheads. These beings are called Unalicorthans. The horns they grow can come at any age. It all depends on the body of the vessel. It is rare, but some babies are even born with horns and they grow as the child grows. In this world, peace reigns and is governed by a benevolent king and queen with the longest horns ever seen. However, this was not to last forever. The king and queen have disappeared and a dark king now rules, though he pretends to be benevolent and kind. His horn as black as night and over 16 inches long. In this world the longer your horn, the stronger and more magic you have. The color of your horn determines your elemental affinity. Earth, fire, wind, water, metal, light, dark, wood, plant, lightening, speed, creation and destruction. There are many things to discover about this world.
There is a place in the forest in the center of the land. A circle clearing where an eternal stream runs in circles and in the center of the field where, no matter the season, flowers always grow, stands fourteen crystal pillars. Pillars that take the shape of Unalcorthans. However, each of their horns, the source of their magic, are gone. Missing. There are legends of these crystal guardians and how they helped to create the world as it is. This place is sacred to the entire world. Untouched since it was created. However, there is a dark shadow that has begun to loom upon this land and resides in the Edgelands, out past the lands of Zendolsgin, the land of darkness, and Algorsha, the land of light. Past even the Eternal Sea, there is an evil that yearns to destroy everything.
"Children.....my sweet children....please.....hear my voice.....come to me.....come to my arms again.....My beloved children........you have forgotten me......You have for gotten me but, it's okay......I just want to protect you.......a scar that has refused to fade......has become a festering wound.......the circle has broken.....the light....stolen....please......my dearest child.....come to me.....find me......help me......my beloved children........" comes a soft voice as if the air were fading from lungs that could not grasp enough air. Calling and begging with a reaching hand toward their child.
This voice calls to you in your dream. This is a recurring dream and has been going on for the past three weeks. Always the same voice, same feeling and same message just different wording. Always the same analogy. Broken circle, stolen light, festering wound made from an old scar. You always feel like you can't control your heart rate as it beats faster and faster. The feeling you get from hearing the voice is comfort but near the end you become afraid. Scared. Are you afraid of the voice? Or are you afraid that it will go away? Are you afraid FOR it?
You wake to the morning light peeking through your window. The birds outside are singing and people are bustling and chatting away without a care. The air is crisp and clean as it has always been. Peace has reigned for the longest time and no one has ever dared to try and disturb that peace. True it is not a perfect Utopia, there is crime, prejudice, greed, and evil, of course but, most are inherently peaceful. This day feels different. When you wake up, just like you have the past three weeks, you feel a tug in your heart. The one that has been telling you to trust your dream and brushed off. It is pulling stronger now. Like things are more desperate now. In this morning light, you will be set upon your destiny.
If you are interested and will stick with me, please let me know. I will have a post length requirement as well, so please be aware before signing up.
