Dying Light: Survivor Stories

Harran is still isolated from the rest of the world, as the cure hasn't been finished yet. People are still alive in the city. The GRE started sending airdrops of supplies ( Antizin, Medicine, Food and water, etc ) again . In Harran, people are fighting for survival. A new gang rised, taking over the city, slaughtering the ones who oppose them. The Tower is still lead by Brecken. More survivors joined the Runners, scavenging places, rescuing other survivors and going after airdrops. The infected grew stronger and mutated, as some of them are invincible. The only thing you can do is run. And when the night comes... Johnny jumps from house to house , running after the airdrop with his team. As he arrives, he climbs down, hiding behind a house nearby the airdrop. There was noise, coming from the place where the airdrop landed. Johnny ordered Steve, one of the three members of his team to spot who's making those noises. Steve climbed up the house, laying down on his stomach, muttering some curses then saying into the radio quietly: " Sanron's men... "


Johnny takes a peek as he quietly says: " The ' Sons of Harran ' guys !? What the fuck are they doing here !? "


" They're probably after the airdrop, " Jim says silently.


" We should be careful " Sarah mutters to Johnny.


" Alright. Let's take them out. "


Johnny climbs on the house, jumping right down onto what looks like a basketball court. The three men stare at the other survivors joining Johnny. " 'Ello there, mates ! " Johnny says, grabbing his machete and charging at the three men as his team follows him. One of the men attempts to hit Johnny with a knife, yet fails as Johnny grabs him and throws him on the ground. The other two men then proceed to attempt to hit the man, but his team blocks the incoming attacks, then disarming the two and knocking them unconscious. Johnny grabs one of the men from the ground. " You should get out of here before night time comes, " Johnny says quietly to the man, then punches him and throws him back on the ground. Johnny then walks to the airdrop, opens it and stares at the loot. " Two bags of Antizin , Some other medicine and Food... " Johnny mutters, then opens his backpack and stores the two bags of Antizin in it, then grabs the other two bags and checks his watch. " Shit ! We have two hours left before night time ! Let's hurry ! " Johnny says, then starts running as his team follows him. On half way to the nearest safe zone, Night Time comes. The screams of Volatiles can be heard in the background. Johnny and his team keeps freerunning to the nearest safe zone. Johnny seems to have his flashlight taped on one of his shoulders, turned on. As they get close to the safe zone, the Volatiles ambush them.


" Keep going to the safe zone ! I'll hold them off as much as I can ! " Jim screams as he stops, flashing his UV Flashlight at the Volatiles.


Johnny takes a look at Jim, then nods and keeps on running with the others back to the safe zone. Jim could be heard screaming in the background as they would close in to the safe zone. The three survivors left enter one of the apartments they could find nearby, then start discussing.


" There are 2 Kilometers left to the safe zone. How are we going to get there without getting eaten alive ? " Sarah asked .


" We could use the light traps on the streets to our advantage while running to the safe house. " Steve said.


Jim nods. " Steve's right. Come on, let's go ! " Jim said as he grabbed some stuff he could use in crafting from the apartment, then opening the door and starting to run to the safe zone with the two . The Volatiles screamed as they called in for more. The three survivors kept running trough the streets, using the UV Lights to blind and also burn the Volatiles, giving the three a big advantage of escaping the pursuit. They started climbing buildings as the Volatiles were after them. As they got to the safe zone, Jim got grabbed by one of the Volatiles. The Volatiles pulled Jim into the darkness as they bit him. Jim was heard screaming. Sarah ran after Jim, trying to rescue him, but she ended up being the second meal of the Volatiles. Johnny just stood, watching the two getting eaten alive by the things... He was just sitting there, frozen. He then sighed , turned around and walked into the Safe Zone, walking to the nearest bed and lying down.

Alice was running across rooftops till she reached a military drop that was left on the roof, she looked around and saw a few zombies down on the ground but no one else, she wondered why there weren't any of Sanron's men around, she then crouched down and opened up the grate, she was relieves as she saw that there were boxes of Antizin inside the crate, she took all two of the crates and then stuffed them into her backpack, she then looked at her watch and saw that it was 2 hours till nightime, she then said to herself "Crap!", She then turned around and looked at the Tower, she then got out her radio and then filled with it as she said "Hello? Is this thing working?" when she got an answer she almost dropped her radio, she then said into her radio "I got the crates of Antizin, coming back now." she then turned her flashlight on and then began to run towards the safe house, she continued to run till she tripped and fell down onto a wooden hut's roof and fell down onto the floor and fell unconscious.

Johnny opens his eyes slowly, then gets up. He grabs his radio , moving it in front of him, then pressing some of the buttons.


" Johnny, thank God you called ! We need some bloody help ! " a voice similar to Brecken's said.


" Alright, Brecken, just give me the location. " Johnny said, stretching.


" Near the train station, a military crate landed. I sent one of my Runners to pick up the stuff inside. She said she's coming back 8 hours ago, but she hasn't. I think she might be hurt, or even worse. You need to find her and bring her back. She has two boxes of Antizin. "


" Yeah, I'm going right now. " Johnny said as he grabbed the two bags of food and medicine, storing the two into his backpack with the two bags of Antizin, then started running outside the safe zone and to the train station.


As he got there, Johnny climbed up the station's building, looking around. He then noticed a wooden hut farther with it's roof broken. " Hrm, that looks suspicious. " Johnny said as he ran to the hut, dodging the zombies trying to grab him.


As he got to the hut he climbed up and looked inside it. Johnny noticed a girl, lying down on the cold floor unconscious. He climbed down, landing next to the girl. Johnny then started checking the girl of any bite marks. In a short time, he finds a bite mark. " Ah shit, she's been bitten. She seems to have had some seizures too, " Johnny said, then opened his backpack, pulled out a bag of Antizin, opened it and grabbed a shot of Antizin and used it on the girl. He then grabbed her and carried her to The Tower. Once Johnny got there, he used the elevator to get to the 19th floor, then carried the girl to the sickbay.


As Lena walks to Johnny, she notices he is carrying a girl.


" She's unconscious. What happened ? " Lena asked .


" I don't know. Brecken sent me to go rescue her. I found her like this. She had some seizures, since she got bit. I gave her a shot of Antizin. " Johnny said.


" Follow me. " Lena said as she walked into the sickbay and to one of the beds there.


Johnny placed the girl on the bed, then backed away to Lena, opening his backpack and giving her the bags of Antizin and some other Medicine.


" Thank you. This should be enough for a time... I'll use the medicine you got me to heal the girl you brought in. " Lena said.


" Alright. " Johnny said, then walked out of the sickbay to his room. He then grabbed a photo of him and his family and stared at it for a few minutes, then he placed it on a table and laid down in his bed. He then closed his eyes, taking a well deserved rest.

Alice woke up after a few hours she then looked around and then looked at the medic as she said "Ugh...What happened?" the medic then told her everything and about the man who brought her here, Alice then got up and got dressed, she then walked out and towards her room, she opened the door and let out a heavy sigh, she then walked to her closet and opened it, she then took of her shoes and any armor and then laid down onto the bed, since it was quite warm under the blanket, she took off her clothes, leaving her only in her undies, she then looked out of the window that was by here bed and sighed slightly, she then comfortably rested her head on the pillow and then began to sleep, she forgot that she didn't lock the door.

Johnny opened his eyes slowly, then took a look around his room. He then checked the time.


" It's morning, " Johnny said, getting out of the bed, then to the elevator.


As he got to the main floor, Johnny walked out of the building. " Well, here goes a new day, " He said as he started freerunning to the nearest house, climbing up on it and pulling his radio out, then pressing some buttons on it. In a couple of minutes, the voice of a woman could be heard.


" Johnny, Report, " The voice would say.


" Grabbed some bags of Antizin, Medicine and food yesterday. I also rescued someone wounded . I didn't got her name, though. " Johnny answered.


" Remember to find out more about Dr. Zere and Dr. Camden's research. We need those files. " The voice would answer.


" Got it. " Johnny would say, then hang up and start freerunning to the last known location of Brecken.

Alice woke up in the morning and then stood up and got dressed, she then grabbed her gear from the floor, the radio and the flashlight from her cupboard too, she then walked out and looked around before going to the elevator as her radio said "Hey, Alice. Noticed you are awake, I need you to go run to the antenna tower, disable the jammers then take the supplies at the bottom." Alice then sighed as the elevator stopped and opened, she then pressed a button on her radio and said "Alright." she then put her radio away and then walked out of the Tower and then began to run towards the antenna, she climbed onto a roof and began to run on roofs till she got to the Antenna, she then began to climb onto the top and then got to the platform where the jammer was, she opened the box and then hit it with her elbow disabling it.

Johnny arrived in a Fishermen Village. As he entered a small hut, Brecken was holding the radio, talking to someone. As he noticed Johnny, Brecken said slowly: " Alright, we'll talk later. " , then turned around to the man.


" Johnny. Great job rescuing that Runner and getting the supplies back to the Tower, " He said.


" Yeah, listen Brecken... Uhm... " Johnny scratched his head as he said that, then muttered slowly . " What do you know about GRE ? "


Brecken went quiet, staring suspiciously to Johnny, then turning around to the radio.


" Well, they usually send us airdrops, " He said then pointed at the TV . " They give us a prerecording of the airdrop, announcing us they sent an airdrop somewhere in the city, " Brecken then said. " Why ? " He then asked.


" Uhh, Just curious, yeah. I've heard people are talking a lot about GRE here, " Johnny then answered a little panicked.


" Hmm, alright, just- " Brecken was intrerruped by a man, walking in the hut.


" Brecken, you have to help me ! My wife, she hid in one of the antenna towers as the outbreak started. We talked to each other using radios. She is not answering me anymore... " The man said worried.


" Alright, calm down. I'm going to check the antenna towers for her, alright ? " Johnny said.


" Yes, thank you, dear sir, thank you ! " The man then said and left the hut.


" Well, if you're checking the antenna towers, find a way to turn at least one of them on. The radio signal is still very weak, even though we took down a signal jammer.


" Sure. " Johnny said, then ran out of the small hut, climbed a few houses and started running to the closest Antenna Tower.


As he got there, he climbed to the top, then he looked around. He then took his radio out. " First antenna tower. No one here.Johnny said,then he walked to the transmitter box. As Johnny opened it, he took out the radio. " Argh, this one was scavenged for parts " Johnny said.


" Then proceed to the next one, " Brecken said.


Johnny then proceeded to use the zip line to get off. As he got to the ground, Johnny ran to the next antenna tower, climbing up, as a Toad screamed at him, then spit green acidic phlegm at him. Johnny fell down, then slowly stood up and hid behind cover. " Ah, what the fuck ! " Johnny shouted.


" What's going on ? You're going to attract more zombies if you shout like that ! " Brecken asked.


" Some infected just spit acid at me ! " Johnny shouted.


" Seems like a good reason. Hurry and climb to the top. These are Toads. They're easy to take down. Close up on him and take him down. " Brecken said.


Johnny climbed back up, dodging the Toad's spits, then grabbed his machete and sliced the infected in pieces.


" Alright, did it. " Johnny said and then proceeded to climb to the top. As he got to the top, he looked around then got out the radio.


" Shit... " Johnny mumbled quietly.


" What is it ? " Brecken asked.


" I think I found the guy's wife, and she's blocking my way to the transmitter... " Johnny said.


" We need at least one antenna tower on. " Brecken said.


" Alright... " Johnny mumbled quietly then hang up and placed his radio into the pocket and proceeded to move the woman's body off the transmitter box. As Johnny did that, the woman pounced on him and attempted to bite him, but Johnny dodged her bite, then kicked her off the antenna tower and proceeded to the transmitter box, hardly breathing. He then opened it , turned a few switches on and pulled the lever.


Johnny then grabbed his radio and called Brecken. " Brecken, I did it. " Johnny said, still hardly breathing. " The man's wife... She... She turned... There was nothing I could do to save her... " He spoke quietly into the radio.


" Darn... Well, come back. This should do for today. " Brecken said.


" Alright. " Johnny said then proceeded to use the zip line to get off. As he got to the ground, Johnny started running back to the Tower.


As he got there, Johnny proceeded to walk inside, climb up to the first floor, then use the elevator to get to the 19th floor. As he got to the 19th floor, Johnny walked inside his room, placed his bag full of stuff down and then laid down in his bed, staring at the wall.

Alice looked around when she received a call on her radio "Hey, Alice we got new survivors you are going to have to live with Johnny." Alice then sighed heavily as she heard the radio again "We are moving your stuff right now." Alice then said into her radio "Got it." she then began to run and hopped onto the zipline as she slid down near a small house, she then turned around and began to run towards the tower, when she reached it she went into it and then into the elevator, she sighed and then pressed the 19th floor button, she then got to the 19th floor and stepped out as she headed for Johnny's room, she got to it and then opened the door and walked inside and sat down on her old bed that was moved, she then said "Hey. Johnny right?" Alice then relaxed on her bed.

Johnny looked at Alice as she entered the room and sat down on her bed.


" Yup, and you must be Alice... " He said , then grabbed his machete and started sharpening it with a sharpening stone, left on the floor.


" You know any news about the cure Dr. Camden's been working on ? " He said as he kept sharpening his machete.

Alice looked at Johnny sharpening his blade and then said "It's not in my blood." she then giggled.
