Duplicating notifications?

I seem to have got this glitch a few times in the last month, where it will say I have (for example) 10 notifications, but when I click on the tab to scroll through them, it brings up literally hundreds! I've scrolled for AGES trying to sort though which ones I've opened without manually counting down the 10 from the top.


Does anyone else have this issue?

Me too. :/   When I remember, I try to keep an eye on the "time since" on each one, as it seems to duplicate them after listing them all once.  I.e., ABCDABCD and so forth.


Not sure what's causing it, possibly the system checking notifications during a site maintenance cycle?

Do you leave RPN open in another tab?


I was thinking that's what was causing it for me, as I usually have multiple tabs from RPN, as well as YouTube and other pages open at the same time. 


Do you think there will be a fix for this soon?

No idea on the fix :/   @The Dark Wizard does a lot of the back-end coding (you don't want me to do it, trust me!) and he's got a lot on his plate right now.


Hmm.  I do tend to have the forum main page open and just open notifications in a new tab (as well as any RPs that are waiting for my response).  I haven't noticed if the duplicating occurs when I receive notifications while having multiple RpN tabs.  Something to keep an eye on!

I only had this happen once, my problem has been my notifications not popping up at all... literally the last two days I have to reload the page before I know I have a mail message.
