DUNGEON DELVER
Secrets of Caedia
The Endless Desert
"A vision of water, a trick of the light;
in the desert heat, I'm a traveler's plight."
in the desert heat, I'm a traveler's plight."
- 「 #8 」THE SAND OCEANWhen the brief sense of vertigo induced by the jaunt through Caedia's portal fades, you find yourselves in yet another cool, dimly lit hewn stone cavern, however; the dim light here is of a deep reddish hue; its origin some hundred feet up a worked stone staircase which appears to be the only exit to this chamber.
Your traversal up the staircase leads to the mouth of another smaller cavern --a foyer, if you will. The floor here, you notice, is piled up with a thick layer of sand, making your every step sink an inch or so and leaves depressions of your footfalls. Immediately, you can feel the waves of heat radiating towards you as you make your way towards and eventually out the mouth of the cave, standing at the precipice of a seemingly endless desert.
The sun here is red and much larger in the sky than the sun of Enigma; the sands too are of a crimson hue.
For those of you who bothered reading the particulars of this expedition before signing on, the proverbial alarm bells in your head are ringing because you know wherever this is, it sure as hells is NOT what the description said. You know that something must have gone wrong; that this has to be some sort of mistake...
