Name: Julie Branwynn
wyCUkvr.jpg

Age: 34
Species: Elf
Gender: Female

Appearance: Same as the image, with the left arm and left being replaced with prosthetics, along with the right leg below the knee. Ignore the gun it's just a very convincing fake which is her focus item. Medium-length crow black hair is usually free-flowing unless they are tied in a low ponytail. 206cm/ 6ft 9in tall.
Clothing: Julie's casual attire fits her surname very well as she dresses mostly in dark colors mainly in black and purple and she appears very crow-like in them. Usually, she wears leggings or skirt pants since she despises wearing proper dresses or skirts, a simple long sleeve shirt, and over it, it's either a trenchcoat or a hoodie. For boots it's a tough matter, since for anything other than leisure/lazy time she wears heavy knee boots, otherwise she either wears sneakers or flats. [Her attire shown in the image is what she usually wears for work.]

Occupation: Part-time security guard, part-time bodyguard
Likes: Training, TTRPGs, Cooking, Corvids. Occult, Bitter candy.
Dislikes: Sweets, hypocrites, "holier than thou" people, not getting paid, The whole ADN vs Progressives thing.

Enhancements: Fully prosthetic left arm and leg, along with below the knee of her right leg, and some inner tidbits.
Skills: Tracking, CQB, Fighting with knives, marksmanship, Animal handling, Cooking, Great DM/Storyteller.
Abilities: Natural mana affinity (lesser mana usage for certain magic types listed to the right), Enhancement magic (expert), animal magic (intermediate), blood magic(intermediate), necromancy (intermediate).
Weaknesses: Bad at money management (lives paycheck to paycheck), Can't use light magic and sucks at using any other type of magic except for the 4 listed above, insomniac, tough decisions are always resolved via a coin toss or a dice roll since she is too tired to think it over.

Alignment: Chaotic Good "Rebel" Apathetic.
Personality:
This woman possesses a complex personality shaped by various facets of her life. Her persistent insomnia lends an air of perpetual weariness, coloring her demeanor with a hint of distant contemplation. Life's struggles have rendered her downtrodden, instilling in her a deep empathy for others who face adversity. Her atheism reflects a rational and questioning mindset, often seeking solace in science and reason rather than faith.
As a member of the low-middle class, she has cultivated resilience and resourcefulness, navigating life's challenges with a pragmatic outlook. Her fascination with the occult hints at a curiosity for the unknown and the mysterious, perhaps a form of escape from her mundane reality.
The world of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) acts as her haven. Her inner nerd shines as she immerses herself in intricate narratives and fantastical realms, where her imagination knows no bounds. This interest provides a glimpse into her yearning for escapism and creativity.
Her unique passion for birds from the Corvid family, known for their intelligence, reflects her appreciation for the enigmatic and unconventional. Spending time with these birds showcases her preference for solitude and nature, offering her moments of tranquility and connection with the wild.
In essence, she embodies a paradox of weariness and curiosity, finding solace in the interplay of the occult, TTRPGs, and avian companionship. These varied aspects converge to form a woman who challenges societal norms, draws strength from her interests, and seeks meaning in a world that often feels elusive.

Background: Julie Branwynn for most of her life known as Julie Serenayla which is her real name. Julie was born into an elven family known for being great magicians and priests of Ruun for centuries, of course, this story isn't a pleasant one as Julie was a black sheep of the family, while all of her family had porcelain white skin and silver hair hers wasn't, her skin the color of the earth and her hair as black as the night. Her father often accused her mother of being unfaithful to the point they took Julie to a few priests and wizards to magically see if she truly was their child which was proven to be true. Not wanting the world to see their mistake they kept her locked up in their house, providing only the bare minimum to her in terms of necessities and education, and as soon as she was of legal age they threw her out with a purse filled with coins.

Not figuring officially alive, and not having an id were her problems for a long time since without those two things she couldn't even use the money they gave her without getting in trouble with the law, so she simply wandered the streets, growing ever so tired she fell asleep in a small park below a tree. When she woke up she was covered in Corvids as if they huddled on her to keep her warm, she appreciated the gesture so Julie shared some food she had in her hands, as she did so a burly elderly orc who just happened to pass by approaching her. Said orc introduced himself as Clyde Wynn and asked what she was doing there. From that point a conversation ensued upon which it was decided that Julie will now be living with Clyde, and he will help her with the no id issue, upon being asked what surname would she like, Julie said "Branwynn, since it appears I have found two families today for myself.".

It was simple the corvids took to her like one of her own and Clyde was gonna essentially properly raise her to the best of his abilities so what could she do to remember both of them forever if not to take a surname based on the two?

Time passed Clyde and Julie grew older, and as Clyde's body was slowly getting too old to work his old jobs for long periods Julie began to fill in those lacking periods, in the end taking his spot when Clyde died not too soon after.
Half a year after Clyde's death Julie got a big job offer, she was supposed to be a security guard during the medical convention happening soon.
Happy with the prospect of hitting it big she gladly took it, the convention itself was quite nice and with no issues, maybe except the ADN protest right outside of it, but it was outside of her jurisdiction so she did not mind it that much. Well that was before the flash happened within that flash an explosion happened taking out a big chunk of the building along with some people outside of it. Julie with her quick thinking and magical abilities quickly used enhancement along with blood magic and necromancy to shield as many people to at least reduce the damage dealt to them, but she miscalculated the amount of mana it took her to do so. So as a big chunk of the wall and a shockwave from the explosion came towards her she could only drop down and curl herself up and pray for the best.

The aftermath wasn't the cleanest, although Julie was still conscious now without two body parts and a part of another missing, in her last breaths before losing consciousness due to blood loss she called a very special corvid to herself, one she called Hugin for he was trained to speak albeit in short sentences. In those last minutes, she relayed to him a message that he was supposed to spread about the damage here and to call for help.
Following Hugin's lift-off Julie's eyes slowly closed, reopening only a few days later with her whole body being sore.
All four of her limbs were stiff..... wait all four of them? As soon as Julie thought that she rolled to the side of the medical bed she found herself in and she looked over herself finding metallic parts attached to herself. Then she said such words, before drifting off to sleep under the effects of whatever medication she was on.
'Well I'm Alive so that's good but this will take me a long time to get used to.'

Preferred Weapons: Focus glove on right arm, fake gun in fact a magic rod with a trigger system, Bowie knife hidden in the boot.

Name: Eliria os Aijun
Age: 29
Species: Half-elf/Half-Human
Gender: Female
Appearance: 1691714723758.jpeg
Eliria is a young woman of above average height for a human female. She doesn't tower above others but her height may be slightly shorter than the average of what elven males are. In numbers, she is 190cm/6ft3in tall. She has absurdly long brown hair that is usually tied into a ponytail while leaving enough parietal hair open to cover her pointed ears. Due to the length of her ears she'd be clearly identified as a half elf as her ears are shorter that those of full blooded elves, but longer than the ears of humans. Eliria also has red eye color which is rare among both humans and elves, but rather common among hobgoblins, leading to some to assume that is may also be part hobgoblin. She usually had fair skin.
After enhancement, her eyes glow dimly in the dark and she has a forehead crystal (that is usually either red or black) that is usually hidden under her bangs. In enhanced body, her body is covered with faint tattoo like magic circles which are not visible during the day but visible in dark rooms. Eliria's body also has faint lines at connecting points (ankles, wrists, shoulders, thighs, knees, neck) and a faint line across her face.

Clothing: Usually she would cloth herself rather modestly, usually sticking with a long black turtleneck dress with a long blue cardigan of equal length. Attire in pic was when she went on date night. You will rarely find her in skirts or dresses shorter than knee length and likely not at all in pants/trousers/shorts. She feels unconfortable in revealing clothing to the point that she will wear thighs if she thinks too much of her legs are showing. Her ears each have multiple stud ear piercings in different metallic colors. Shoes wise she wears flat sole shoes such as ballet flats.

Occupation: Sorceress, formerly Priestess of Aki

Likes: Exploring, food, cake, tea, magic research

Dislikes: (Initially she disliked enhancements, getting enhancements and anything she thought went against the gods) Currently, she dislikes her past and her former friends.

Enhancements: She was injured to such a great degree due to being so close to the explosion that her complete body is robotic and her soul had been transferred to a soul gem. Else than a standard up-to-date prosthetic body with wireless communication, she doesn't have any special modifications yet.

Skills: Extensive knowledge of arcane disciplines, hand-to-hand combat, fighting with staves, fighting with knives, marksmanship

Abilities: Innate magical ability/very high base mana, mana aura sensing, usage of light magic (intermediate), dark magic (intermediate), abyssal magic (expert) and enhancement magic (intermediate).

Weaknesses: Awful cook, sucks at elemental magic, clumsy (due to not being used to new body), will not always make rational decisions

Alignment: Formerly lawful evil and fanatical, now rather lawful neutral (though still mildly lawful evil) and principled, maybe slightly dogmatic.

Personality: Eliria is kind of uptight and zealous. Before the incident, she was a fanatical ADN member who somewhat condoned what the militant wing did. She saw the victims as people who violated the law of the gods. After the incident, she had mellowed out a little, forgetting why she hated the enhanced in the past. Since bad habits are hard to shake off, she still is kind of zealous and after enhancement believes enhancements are an extension of Aki's gift and that those without enhancements should get enhancements. Aside from the nuttiness, she can be quite pleasant. You just have to avoid certain topics. Her friendliness can be a bit much though. She will fiercely defend friends.

Background: Eliria was born to an elven father and a human mother. Her mother died early on and her father was strict and didn't show her much affection. He trained her to become a healer to follow in his footsteps. Eliria was taught about the goddess Aki and how healing magic was a gift from Aki that grew stronger the bigger the caster's bond with Aki was. While this kickstarted Eliria's religiosity, it was ultimately the lack of affection by her father that drove her to become zealous, as the goddess felt like the loving parent she never had. Eventually she joined the temple and became a priestess and later on she joined the non-militant faction of the ADN. While she was in the non-militant faction, it wasn't like she condemned the awful actions of the militant faction. She believed that unbelievers didn't deserve healing from the warmth of Aki. Her healing ability would fluctuate, which led her to believe that she didn't pray hard enough and not that her actions may have any effect on the goddess' opinion of her.

One day, in front of a medical convention, she joined a protest against manatech enhancement and handed out flyers to passerbys. Closer towards the building, she saw a familiar face and approached him, thinking he was searching for the protest. Halfway to the person, she was blinded by a bright light before she lost consciousness. After that, she would barely regain consciousness and saw everything blurry and heard everything muffled. She couldn't move. She couldn't feel her arms or legs. She couldn't move her head. Everything was numb. She saw a blurry figure approach her before she lost consciousness again.

The next moment, she stood before the goddess Aki in a realm so bright that only the goddess was visible. She asked whether she was dead and if she was to step into the afterlife. Instead she was scolded by the goddess for all her misdoings, for her intolerance, for her treatment of sinners and unbelievers. The goddess forbade her from using her gift and promised her that she'd suffer for her crimes and that the afterlife would be closed to her until she had properly atoned for her actions and sentiments. Eliria was told that it will be a long time until she will be forgiven and that she should hope that another deity will be lenient.

Thereafter, she regained consciousness once more. She could barely breathe and only see with her right eye. Though muffled, she could make out the words being said in one ear. A paramedic yelled: "We got a really bad one!" A nurse came into view and took a look at her, before turning away while saying "oh goddess" and then vomiting on the floor. Then a doctor came into view and made a face, before saying "Poor soul. Thanks to an anonymous benefactor, they will get the best treatment possible and be able to live a new life." Eliria was then moved to a room full of machines. She heard a doctor say that they planned to put her soul into a soul gem to save her life and then put her into a manatech body. Eliria tried to scream no, but all that came out was a pained groan. She would rather die that what they intended for her.

Next thing she knew was that she was losing consciousness again. The next moment, she stood in a hallway in another aetherial realm. She sighed in relief, thinking that she had finally died and wouldn't be put in some manatech suit or body. Eliria was approached by two men and a woman. She recognized one of the men as Ciris, the harvest god. The other two may have been lesser deities. Ciris made it known that he knew that Eliria recognized him. The other two introduced themselves as Atise, the god of darkness and wickedness and Aasua, a goddess of wisdom and science. A shiver went down Eliria's spine when she heard the name Atise. In the temple, they called Atise the evil god, but they never had an image of him. All Ciris was there for was to mock Eliria for falling from grace.

Atise then spoke, offering Eliria to become his servant as he saw angering Aki and causing chaos in the mortal realm as an impressionable feat. Eliria shook her head and declined vehemently. Atise told her shall she change her mind, he will welcome her with open arms. The next deity was one completely unknown to Eliria. She had thought the god of wisdom was a god of another name. But she assumed that this goddess was also there to mock her as Eliria was basically against part of what the goddess stood for. Aasua spoke to Eliria, saying she understood her reservations, however she would offer more warmth than her father or Aki had ever given her and that if Eliria did well as her servant, she'd put in a good word for her to Aki. Aasua told her that while she would give Eliria all the time in the world, she wouldn't take no for an answer and that Eliria should pray to her when she's made her decision.

Soon Eliria reawoke in a red chamber. She could move around in the chamber, but she had no body. The walls of the chamber were transparent and outside of them was a void. Eliria then realized that she was a soul in a soul gem and outside of it was a void because rocks didn't have eyes. Eliria concentrated and managed to give herself a body in the chamber, one that looked like her old self. She then tried to see beyond the void and realized she could make out people and things with mana sensing. She refined her sense and noticed that her soul gem was placed within a socket waiting to be placed in a host body. Eventually, someone picked up the gem and placed in within a device that closed itself, encasing the gem within it. Suddenly, many lights began to flash up before her. They looked like runic parameters and computer diagnostics. All of a sudden, it felt like she was a head on a table. She could see clearly. Eliria however could not yet talk. She witnessed as she was put together. The parts were made of a sturdy black metal. A female doctor then touched her in the back of the head, spoke a spell that rather sounded like a programming language and then said: "Initiate auxillary mode." Eliria's body then spoke "auxillary mode initiated" without Eliria willing it. The female doctor then led Eliria's body to a chamber. Eliria had no control over it. The body then stood in the chamber in complete darkness and stretched it's arms out. Then while lots of text flew past Eliria's consciousness, many sounds unknown to Eliria such as whirring and mechanical noises began to occur. Within two minutes it was over and Eliria suddenly had skin or a soft shell that represented skin.

After the procedure, Eliria was clothed and placed in a sort of "wake up room" before being given control over her own body and the "auxillary program" supposedly modified to not make her do things against her will. The doctors however said that shall she lose control over herself, they can still put her in a sort of sleep mode for her and their safety. After that, she needed to come to terms with what all had happened.

Preferred Weapon: Hands/magic, alternatively long staves or bladed weapons.
