40711534673bd1478caf090d3bd9cfa2.jpgMerida Grace Austen

Currently goes by Austen

Immortal, age unknown, appears approximately 20

Over the years Austen has grown to appreciate all humans in a sexual way. Pansexual

Austen has a myriad of personalities. At times, she is perhaps the kindest person you will ever meet. Other times, however, she could quite literally rip off a man's head if she deems a look to be unfavorable. What personality you get depends on the day, the people, the place... anything can change her mood, and it typically happens faster than you can imagine. Were she human, doctors would perhaps name her bipolar, but in truth, the immortal has just become tired of bending to the will of the weak human concept of society, simply doing what she wants, whenever she wants it. Perhaps this makes her a bit of a menace. It is apparent that it does not matter to Austen.

Merida Grace Austen has gone by many names. Having been alive since the dark ages, one such as herself becomes known. Tales of the Great Queen Maeve, the warrior queen of Connacht, are centered around Merida herself. Similar stories are as such, and not only with Merida. Immortals world wide are depicted in the history books as famous humans doing fantastic feats.

The beginning of her story, however, is unknown. Who she was before immortality, and for many centuries after are lost to her. At one point she was part of the council. nut grew bored with the responsibility. After that, she began entertaining herself in anyway she found possible. She spent years hunting humans and inspiring the stories children tell each other around fires. The immortal appears many times in prominent royal circles and around the important people of wherever she was at the time. She was addicted to the extravagance of it all, and soon found herself in hot water with the very council she once sat upon.

They sentenced her to five centuries in a french prison, made specifically for immortals. She was given very little blood, and no interaction whatsoever. By the time she was released, the woman was a bit crazed. She went after any human she came across, used her powers to force him or her into loving her, touching her, whatever she wanted, before feeding on them and leaving their bodies in a ditch somewhere. She was careful to make it look like a human murderer, and the police were baffled time and again. Sometimes, if she was feeling particularly lonely, she would make them immortal, and had them stay with her. Almost inevitably, however, they left her after half a century or so..

As the years went on, however, Merida began to contain herself to hiding away in some obscure town, surrounded by her immense wealth, collected over thousands of years. She misses the thrill of battle, the feeling of standing before a crowd and hearing cheers, or the sight of humans cowering in fear in great numbers. Only in the last century or so did she begin calling herself Austen, and slowly entering into society once more. Centuries of self-induced exile has made her lonely, and though she knows it unwise, Austen seeks companionship. She now is employed as a history teacher in a high school in an attempt to connect. Even among the adults, however, Austen feels herself surrounded by children and has yet to come across anyone she feels is worth her time.

db6c5f96c7d777fe79f972afe1d5236f.jpgJaxon James Boston

"Jax"

Immortal, 526, appears 24

Still a babe in immortal time, Jax has yet to develop the split personalities of many of his older counterparts. Though he was a happy man as a mortal, when Jax turned 100 he began to realize the implications of being immortal. His mortal friends had died more than half a century ago, and yet he was still as fit and healthy as he was 76 years ago. He always would be. The thought made Jax extremely depressed, and rather angry, though he was angry at himself. As a result he's rather brooding and cold, unlikely to interact with others more than is necessary. He keeps to himself and watches the lives of others from afar.

Jax was one of the last humans Austen turned into her own personal pet. As a poor farmer in 1510, when she offered up immortality, he couldn't refuse. The man had reached the halfway point of his life expectancy four years ago, after all. He stayed with Austen for the 76 years until he turned 100, After that, he went off on his own, moving from place to place, mostly staying in the woods somewhere.

When Europeans began moving over to America, he followed, though he quickly disappeared. He was assumed dead by the colonists more than once.

Though Jax was indeed a loner, he couldn't help but involve himself in the many wars America was involved in. Pretending to be many different soldiers in each war, he avoided being found out while also playing a substantial role in whatever side he chose winning.

The Revolution gained much needed manpower from the 10 or 15 soldiers he posed as across the colonies. One would "die", and Jax would move on to the next place as someone else. It went this way in many wars, and the larger the wars got, the more men Jax pretended to be.

Once technology began to advance, however, this became difficult. It was hard once pictures were taken of soldiers for the records, but once they began fingerprinting, it became impossible. Jax was forced to stop fighting for America's army, and his last sense of purpose was taken from him.

Now Jax spends his time immersing himself in research; his goal being to find a 'cure' for immortality. Keeping this completely secret for fear of being discovered, Jax searches for a way to kill immortals. He also finds temporary peace from his inner turmoil by painting landscapes, and he sells these for money, even though he's accumulated a fair amount of wealth over his 5 centuries.

name; ren saito

breed; immortal

age; 1,058, but appears ~23

sexuality; bisexual

being 1,000 years-old can add layers of personalities on a person. ren is not one to easily trust, but is universally friendly and caring. he stays his distance from people, both from wariness of his immortality being revealed, and also because he has to disappear from those who he cares for if they happen to be mortal. his confidence is high; being immortal can give one a god-complex, however, beneath his cool is a bundle of self hatred that sometimes comes out to play. the guilt of leaving people, the guilt of feeding on people before he settled down here, the guilt of seeing others want to know him stacks up in his chest. he becomes unpredictable when these spells hit him, driving others away. in some instances, he couldn't help but hope that it does, to make it, the leaving that is, a bit easier on him. most of the time, his self-righteousness comes in to temporarily save the day, and he lives on as his content, but distant, self.

despite such an ego, he doesn't hold himself over humans. he finds it quite funny when he hears those similar to him speak of mortals as if they are dirt to step on. he has met many humans who have fascinated him and who have bested him in many subjects and many debates. he knows that the heightened senses are no match for what the mortals have: a sense of purpose, a drive, passion for their hobbies ... ren almost envies them, but knows he is too privileged to do so. he enjoys watching the bustling lives of those who fear death from afar, knowing that their impending doom makes their lives much more worth living, but has an aching that rings in his chest whenever he observes.

ren has been immortal for as long as he could remember. this doesn't say much, as he doesn't remember the first 400 years-or-so of his life. he could have been mortal at one point - but that is history now. in his late 700's, he surrounded himself with the nobles and the wealthy, giving him the rich ego he has today. he would host parties exclusively for the upper-class, skipping out on the meals for, of course, his limited diet. he never knew if the people around him were immortal or not - he didn't care. he was living in a reckless state-of-mind, with a teenage mentality that made him run wild. he didn't care if he were to be found out or not. he just wanted to live.

the council grew tired of his immaturity and scolded him, and punished him with fewer rations of blood. they also forced him to relocate and change his appearance before anyone noticed his aging rate. he had sobered up from the intoxication of the free-will of self-applied mortality, and began to follow the rules. he has now spent his 300 years living quietly and cautiously, obeying the council and limited his own autonomy. this has made him struggle to grow close to anyone - specifically mortals.

now, he has restricted the amount of money he has, to keep his livelihood in check. he lives quite modestly, in contrast to how he may act. his past, filled with lovers who he has had to say good-bye to, friends who he has had to abruptly leave, towns he has had to abandon, names he has had to reject, swims in his mind and creates a modified ren day after day.

Name: Delilah Joanna Eaton

Age: 20

Immortal/Human: Human

Gender: Female

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality: When most people hear the name Delilah, they think of a sweet,

innocent girl. If you met Delilah Joanna Eaton, you'd get a sweet, innocent girl.

If you were stranded on a boat, and running low on food supply, Delilah would

offer herself to be eaten. She's so sweet that it hurts. She's the light in a dark

world. She's the good in all the bad. She's also extremely bright, but doesn't

flaunt it. If she had a book, she'd finish it in the wink of an eye. If she had a

piece of paper, she'd draw the most beautiful picture. Delilah is also low on

self-esteem and confidence, she's extremely sensitive, and very obedient. It's

because she's afraid to get hurt, like she's been for so many years. If you ever

see her, give her the biggest smile you can muster. That's enough to brighten

her day, which can brighten yours.

Biography: If there was an award show, featuring people with the worst lives,

Delilah would win all the awards. Born in Haleiwa, Hawaii to Chip Murphy and

Stessi Tyler, Delilah was the cutest baby ever. Big brown eyes, porcelain-like

skin, and a petite figure. Her parents were merely teenagers when she was born.

She was the product of unprotected sex in a bar bathroom. Chip and Stessi were

financially-troubled. They made little money, and it wasn't enough for the three.

They lived in a small apartment. Chip worked all day, while Stessi stayed home,

caring for Delilah. The definition of caring for a child to Stessi was leaving

Delilah in a dark and smelly room all day, without food, while Stessi went out

and about with friends. It was the same process everyday. Delilah was unhealthy,

and slowly getting sick. One day, it all changed. Her father was fired from his job,

which had Stessi working all day.

Chip Murphy did not know how to raise a child. But, he tried. One year old Delilah

would be fed pieces of cheese and fruit, and drank rust-flavored water. There was

still no money coming in for the family. Things were getting worse. Stessi was

fired from her job, and a few months later, the family was homeless. They soon

found shelter with friends of the couple. Delilah was three. She became invisible.

Just another mouth to feed, another head living under the roof of many teenagers.

Her parents were introduced to drugs, all sorts of them. Delilah was forgotten

even further. A neighbor knew of the child living there, and reported to the cops

that Delilah was not in school. She was enrolled in a small public school, far

from the home. A bus would come early in the morning to take Delilah to school.

Delilah was very skinny. She wasn't fed correctly. Her voice was raspy, as she

hardly ever talked. When she started school, she was seen as a freak. An

outcast. Her peers began teasing her. They were all wealthy with clean clothing,

while she wore the same uniform every day. She had pale skin and dark bags under

her blue eyes, while the other children were clean and healthy. After months, the

teasing got even worse. The teasing turned to bullying. Girls in her classes were beating

her every year. Nobody noticed. Delilah didn't dare tell. It'd be worse if she did. Her

life at home was still the same. No food, little water, little clothes, no attention. She

couldn't stop the bullying. She was a small, frail girl. Besides, her family would

never help her. She had no friends at school.

When she was in 11th grade, her parents were arrested for illegal drug use. As

Delilah had no other relatives, she was placed into a foster home. The foster

home was no better than her original home. The only difference was, she got clothes.

Once Delilah turned 18, and was accepted into UCLA, she left. However, she had

to make money for herself, to buy her books and supplies. She spent months,

drifting from one job to another, trying to make money. When nothing was

working, Delilah dropped out of college. She now lives on the streets, trying

to live off of scraps. She's acquired many friends, with the same living situations

as her.

Leon Mordred

Immortal or human: Immortal

Age: Unknown, but looks 21

Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Leon is distant and cold around a lot of people, but he's usually calm. He is quiet by nature, and likes being off to himself. Reading is his greatest pleasure, and he will spend days in the quietest part of his library until the need for blood stirs him.  He actually loves companionship, but he is scared of it as well. He doesn't want anyone to get too close, but at the same time wishes they would.

Biography: Leon remembers very little about the beginning of this curse, but that's to be expected from someone as old as him. He does remember his blood-thirst when his body first underwent the transitions, and he regrets the last few moments where he felt his humanity being stripped from him. Leon lived for some years in the forests, keeping his hunger away by feeding on animals. Humans were in the area, and unknown to Leon, villages were being built. A group of hunters from one of these villages accidentally stumbled upon Leon hunched over a deer stark naked. Leon had no need for clothes the past couple of years, so he simply got rid of them. Leon looked like a demon to the humans, and before he knew it, a group of villagers were stomping through the woods with torches, clubs, and a priest who kept saying verses over and over. It was the most annoying spectacle Leon had witnessed. So, Leon killed one man who was in the back of the procession and  took his clothes and left. He journeyed for a while, and soon found  his way to a large town. Leon was quite fascinated by humans, so he tried to fit himself in their society. He got weird looks due to his hair and grey eyes, but Leon ignored it. He found out about currency, so he found a job as a stable hand for a rich lord in the town. Lord Mordred. he worked quickly and without any complaint. He slept in the woods until he finally got enough money to pay a farmer to let him sleep in the barn. it was an oddly satisfying life for Leon. The lord of the land soon began noticing Leon, and soon spoke to him. Leon was highly intelligent, and gave the lord tips on how to manage his lands. Leon was invited to parties, and after being cleaned and dressed up, it became very clear how handsome he was. The lord didn't have any children since his wife was infertile, so he showed Leon off at as many events as possible. Leon soon became part of the family, and Lord Mordred gave his lands to the boy after his wife died. Lord Mordred passed away soon after that due to grief.

Leon knew people would get suspicious of his never changing complexion, so he fired all his help an sold all the land around him expect for the giant manor. He took the money and buried it and left the town, confident he would return. Leon met up with all sorts of people on his travels, and learned all sorts of things. He learned swordplay from a wizened old man who fought in some battle, he learned how to properly ride a horse even without a saddle from a  5 year old girl, and a whole lot of other things. Leon found the world was always changing and so full of life. It was amazing.

Leon was in Europe was the Black Plague hit. It was disgusting, but Leon could actually drink the humans who were dying completely dry since he wouldn't get sick and they were already lost causes. Leon went into rich people's homes and raided them of goods (he loved anything that glittered) and hid his findings all over the city in places only he knew. He was planning to take them all back to his manor until someone found him drinking from a human with the disease. Instead of gathering humans to confront him, they found him at a inn and secured him while he was resting after drinking so much blood that he could barely move. The dragged him to an abandoned church and tied him to a cross. Some called him a demon and said they should kill him, while others didn't know what to do. The priest suddenly got the notion to drink Leon's blood. Maybe the idea was caused by him being on a cross or him being seen drinking blood, but that was exactly what they did. The nanos got into the mortal's body, and soon the small group became immortals. They left him there as they went out in the city and quenched their never ending thirst temporarily, while Leon grew weak.

However, the council heard about the incident and sent immortals to kill the newly made immortals. Leon wasn't found by them, and was too weak to free himself. He kept himself alive by making the occasional rat or bird to allow himself to drain them. it took a long time, but a girl found Leon while she was exploring, still chained right where he was left. She got her father and other people to free Leon, and they brought him to their home. By then, it was the beginning of the Victorian era, and Leon was terrified of the new styles of dress once he woke up and looked out the window at the weird town. The home belonged to a man named Benjamin Ville Baker, and his wife and daughter. They fed him all the meat he required (raw of course) and asked him how he got in such a predicament. Leon simply told them the truth, expecting the worse. The family simply said it wasn't his fault that it happened to him, and said he could stay as long as he earned his keep. Leon worked with Benjamin, who was the town's best blacksmith. Leon picked it up easily, and soon began making works that rivaled Benjamin's. The man didn't mind, and actually encouraged it. Leon made swords and whatnot, but moved on to jewelry. The first piece he made was a simple necklace, and he gave it to Benjamin's daughter, Elizabeth, who was the one person Leon looked at as if he was a blind man seeing for the first time. She was enraptured by him as well, and the two fell in love as the years passed.

Elizabeth's parents passed away when she was 35, and Elizabeth finally married Leon. They sold the house and moved to the manor Leon had always hoped on returning to. It needed a lot of work, but they cleaned it up an made it suitable. Leon wanted to get the money he had saved up years ago, so he set out s=to do so, promising on his return, they'd start a family and Elizabeth would be made immortal right alongside him.

It took him a while to find the places he hid his treasures, and there probably are a few he forgot about. He piled everything in a cart and made his way to the manor.

She was waiting for him, and the two  could have never been happier. It was late, so the two went to bed.

However, a group of thieves found the manor that was hidden in the forest. Leon woke up when he smelled an unfamiliar scent, but they already had a knife at Elizabeth's neck. Leon spent a long time pleading for them to take the treasure and leave, but they ignored him. They used her while Leon shouted curses and begged, but nothing stopped them. But they made the mistake of killing her. Leon watched as the knife slit her throat, and the life went out of her and she went limp. Elizabeth had been there only bargaining chip.

Leon only remembered holding Elizabeth's cold body and rocking her gently. He took the necklace he had made for her and buried her under an apple tree. She had loved that tree.

Leon took the treasure and boarded a ship for America. He bought a giant mansion with wealth to spare and stayed in solitude, coming out to drink from the occasional animal. He adapted along the way as his kind always has to do. Humans started calling his mansion haunted which was fine by him. He was surrounded by forest, and he grew apple trees all around.   His library was giant, and he replaced his grief with knowledge. He taught himself how to cook, paint, and play his violin.

But above all the most important thing he learned was to never let anyone in again.

Ashton Tyler Hammonds

"Ash"

immortal.jpg

Species/Gender: Human Male

Age: 23

Sexuality: Heterosexual/Bi-Curious

Personality:

From the outside looking in Ash is rather aloof, and not one to want to make friends. Rather, he says whatever comes to mind, with complete disregard for how it's interpreted; usually unfavorably. It would seem that by looking at his face there's not much that fazes him, but there are some things that really strike a nerve with him and that mask of apathy he hides behind is shattered into a million angry little pieces.

Biography:

It's a beautiful night. Dark, but all the better as to gaze at the stars from the window. His parents talk quietly over the hum of the engine from the front seat. Beside him, his sister dozes peacefully against his shoulder. He was about to drift off when the windshield lit up bright yellow and a horrid screeching filled his ears. His arm instinctively flew across his sister's sleeping form to hold her in place as the force of the impact threw him against his seatbelt...

Ash jerked upright covered in a cold sweat, his racing heart feeling like it would burst. He ran his hand habitually over the old scar across his chest, reminding himself to breathe again. A glance at the clock made him groan in despair; 3:00 AM glared back at him from the nightstand. He had work in just two hours... The events of that night clouded his thoughts for the umpteenth time, never able to come to terms with what happened in the five years since the accident. Mercifully, his parents were killed upon impact, but his sister wasn't so lucky. Recovering from a concussion and a broken arm, he stayed in his sister's room to keep her company. He never let her out of his sight. At night he listened to the nurses gossip in the hallway, pretending to be asleep. That's how he learned there was nothing the doctors could do for her; her broken body was past repair, her life past saving. They gave her medicine to dull the pain and made her as comfortable as they could. She held on for another two days before she passed. All he could do was watch her die.

Since then nothing really mattered much. He dropped out of school shortly thereafter, unable to stomach the sympathetic looks that seemed to follow him. He knew he was just drifting through life, but it was his to waste or throw away as he saw fit. But there were times when everything was quiet that the truth set in. He was lost and without purpose. It scared him, though he'd never admit it.

His eyes turned cold and distant as he locked up his crappy apartment to leave for his mediocre job.
