You have mysteriously found a dragon egg and now have to attend the academy to learn how to teach your dragon the know-how of dragon basics. Thats not all because someone has been killing the dragons, you must help find and capture this dragon slaying hooligan and save your dragon as well as the other students' dragon.View attachment 64751

Kira, nestled in between Nightstrike's shoulder blades, pointed out the building to him and with a graceful tuck of his wings, they rocketed to earth at a blinding speed. Moments before impacting with the ground, they pulled out of the dive and landed with a single flap of wings. Checking to make sure no one else was around, Kira patted Night's back and he straightened out his tail so that she could slide down it, chuckling as she went. Once she was safely on the ground, she stroked him once more before sending him to explore the surrounding countryside. Better safe then sorry, after all. Once he was out of sight, Kira sighed and looked around for someone else to arrive, whether a student or a faculty member.

Nichole was having a hard time finding the building for the school. She had ridden Lightning almost everywhere around the area. Her dragon was pitch black and just looked like a flash of lightning and night because she had a yellow glowing streak running down her back. But alas it was daytime, but atleast it made spotting a giant dragon flying down on a large plot of land near a building. Deciding that not many people around here would just randomly fly around a dragon, Nichole's nose dives Lightning towards the land and pulls up right before they hit the ground. She swooshes past the dragon and girl that were already there. Lightning skids her feet and claws into the ground for a brake. Once the pair slow down, Nichole takes a leap and lands on the ground next to lightning.

Luna sighed, looking around. "I don't see it Icis." She said, looking around the sky. She sighed, sitting back down on her dragon. She looked around again, Icis growling a bit in response, turning to the right. "OH! There!" She said as they got closer. She landed on the ground gracefully, leaving frost on the ground. She sighed, grabbing her book and getting of. "At the least my landing was more graceful." She muttered.

"Blacktalon do you see them?" Looking around Rory sees the newcomers and recognizes one of them "Ah there they are" Grunting Blacktalon turned and flew toward the group. Jumping of Blacktalon Rory lands on his feet with a soft thud, Blactalon flew on until he landed and walked back

 

[Ananfal]

Kira turned her head as two more dragons flew in, depositing their riders before leaving. "I am Kira." She said, introducing herself to both riders at the same time. "May I ask who the instructor of this academy is?" She asked, looking first from one to the other. She didn't want to assume and then get it wrong, that would make an impression that she was dumb and in a new school... She knew how that would turn out.

Luna looked at the girl. "Luna." She said, opening her book and starting to read. She really didn't like talking to a lot of people, especially people who asked a lot of personal questions. She pulled her book up so no one could see her face Icis grunted and looked at Luna, concern in her eyes. "No." she said, looking away from her book for a second before looking back at her book.

"Names Rory, good to see ya here" Looking around at the group he responded, " The instructors are me, Luna, and some other guy who is not here yet..." Climbing a nearby tree he perches himself on the lowest branch, " The place may not seem like much... yet."

Kira was taken aback by Luna's cold attitude but didn't show it, keeping her face blank. Her attention turned to Rory as he began to speak. "I see. Thank you for answering my question." Was all she said before turning and walking away from the pair. It seemed like this school would be like all the others, she would be alone. Hopefully they didn't have roommates here. Nightstrike finished his scouting trip and returned, landing in front of her with barely a sound. She idly stroked him as she thought more about the school.

Luna looks at the tree, seeing it as a good place to read. She got up next to him, reaching for a higher branch than him. She sighed when she got up there. "Much better." She muttered, opening her book and starting to read.

Nichole looks as a boy introduces himself as Rory. He climbs up a tree and sits and soon a girl named Luna sits on a branch above him. The girl who had sai she was Kira just walks off. Nichole raises her eyebrow as everyone keeps to themselves. With a sigh, she leans against Lightning and closes her eyes.

"The first lesson, which anyone else here will find out soon enough, is to work together with your dragon by using eachothers advantages." Looking how nobody likes to be friendly Rory made up his mind "You and one other must pair up with each other to build a shelter large enough for you and your dragon, but it must also look like the place you build it in" "A bad example would be putting a dark colored dragon in a barren landscape" "There are other wild dragons in the area as well, they all respond to Luna's and my Dragon, they mark the border of the area you can build in." Glancing around he decides where they can't build "But you must build at least 5 miles away from this building, otherwise you might be too close and be detected easily" Seeing that they were still listening (if you are) for the O.K, he yells "Well what are you waiting for? Go choose a partner and get working on your shelters!"

Kira sighed. It seemed as though the very first project was designed to make her fail. She couldn't work with someone else. Only Nightstrike had always stayed with her and she couldn't trust anyone else. Walking up to Rory, she forced herself to meet his eyes and she spoke in a soft voice. "May I ask to work alone on this project?" She struggled not to show her emotions on her face. "I doubt that anyone would partner with me."

Nichole hears some one ask to be partnered alone on this project after Rory explains how it will work.


She butts in.


"I'll work with you."

 

[Ananfal]

After hearing someone call out to her, Kira inclined her head to Rory. "I apologize for bothering you." She said, and turned to look at the person who wanted to partner with her. It was a girl, she thought, before walking over to her. "My name is Kira." She said, motioning towards Nightstrike. "And he is my dragon. His name is Nightstrike." Kira hesitated before speaking again. "Did you say you wanted to work with me?"

Glancing up at Luna Rory sighed "Well that was actually easier than I thought." Taking a few breaths knowing that he had to do the same as them he jumped out of the tree with a light thud. "I guess that means you and I get to pair together since it seems like nobody else is coming within the next couple of hours" Slowly walking toward his dragon he glanced back "This will be a bit hard, since my dragon is a dark color and yours is a light blue coloring..."

Nichole looks back at the girl. She says her name was Kira and that her dragons name was Nightstrike. Nichole nods once she finishes.


"I'm Nichole." She gestures to her dragon, "and this is Lightning."


Lightning turns, swinging her head around as she hears her name. She reveals the glowing yellowish-white jagged streak that went down her spine. It was the only marking that he had on her shiny black scales.


Nichole sees a resemblance between Lightning and Nightstrike and sees this mission as going to be easy.

Kira examined Lightning, noting the jagged marking down the dragon's back. Turning to her own dragon, she spoke softly. "Night, did you see any caves? How about deep forests?" The dragon crooned softly back to her and she nodded in response. "Nightstrike says that there is both a cave and a deep forest near this estate. Do you have a preference as to where to hide?" Nightstrike was deep a deep black that preferably the cave would be better, but Kira decided to let her partner choose.

"I don't really mind which we choose, but in a cave we could get trapped by enemies or Lightning's glow in the cramped darkness could provide more light than needed. She can dimmen it but she can't completely shut it off."

 

[Ananfal]

Kira nodded. "Very well then, it seems that a forest is our best choice. The second question then becomes, do you want to spend the time constructing a treehouse that can hold the weight of two dragons, or stay on the ground?" There were advantages to both, of course, but once again Kira chose to let Nichole decide. She and Night could adapt to either option so best to let the unknown variable choose, that way was easier for all of them.

"I don't care. I'll leave the choice up to you. I decided for us to stay in the forest." Nichole replies.

 

[Ananfal]

Inclining her head, Kira spoke. "Obviously a place above the ground is easier to escape from and defend from, however the time spent to construct such a building, especially on a time constraint, is inadvisable. Thus we begin our search for a suitable area upon the ground." Nightstrike kneeled down as she slid onto his back. "Would you like us to leas you to the forest?" Kira suggested.

Nichole listens to Kira and them shrugs as she watches her get on Nightrsike.


"Sure, why not."


She says as she, herself, gets on Lightning, ready for take off whenever.

Nightstrike took off without a sound, his wings slicing through the air without a sound. It was only a few minutes later that Kira pointed out the sprawling forest beneath them. Grinning slightly, Kira decided to have some fun and took a graceful swan dive off her dragon. She experienced the pure adrenaline of freed all for a second before Nightstrike carefully caught her in his claws, allowing her to have a better look at the forest below them. "There." She spoke, indicating a clearing large enough for both dragons to land in.

Nichole takes off soon after Kira. She watches as Kira points out the woods and then jumps off of Nightstrike. Nichole was about to send Lightning barreling after her but then Nightsrike caught Kira in her claws and Kira casually points out a clearing large enough for both dragons. Nichole nods before sending Lightning in a dive headed straight for the clearing. Nichole leans forwards as they plummet towards the ground and then pulls up as Lightning jerks up just a few feet from the ground. Taking her que, Nichole jumps off and lands gracefully on her feet. Soon Lightning comes and lands beside her.
