Oh whoa, sorry guys, I don't get alerts for this things
The thread is very much still open, if you'd like to join then please feel free to fill out the forma in the character approval thread and wait approval, I'll try to be quick about approving them @Wings
nothing much has happened so far, there's just a group traveling to Dunnath. I'd go ahead and just bump into the group or something if you wanted in
I'm not going to use a fancy system just yet. The two people will fight as normal, understanding that they can't dodge or block every attack because that's against the rules and they shall be smited by the wrath of upper powers if they do -3-
I also tend to run slightly more detail oriented, as I prefer finding plausible loopholes to exploit that gives my characters an edge that you can't really deny.
I enjoy seeing that in rpers, as long as they do it responsibly, which I have no doubt you will. I've had to put a few extra...precautions in my rulebook that may stifle creativity a bit, but only because I've seen one too many people who take loopholes and abuse them to become way too over powered and unfair. I'm glad you could still find a way to be unique.
Gotta admit, seemed a trifle redundant to make Canaan inhumanly strong upon seeing some of the characters already posted, but I aim to execute it in also a unique way. Also, I warn that Canaan is going to be extremely OP'd comparatively to the other riders, but it's still very even across the board, as Nimbus is almost entirely impotent in his combat orientation.
I'm okay with responsible op-ness. I simply draw the line at having no limitations in power and bending the laws of physics so that every move someone tires in order to fight is countered and suddenly one person can take down entire groups because they're untouchable and refuse to accept getting hit.
Trust me, refusing blows will not be an issue with Canaan, he'll make a crash test dummy thankful for his job by the end of the first portion of this RP.
I have such beautiful plans for this rp. I suppose I'll be moving it along a bit faster so it starts to make some main plot developments, but I'd also encourage other rpers to come up with their own mini arches.
