This will be a dragon rider roleplay where you will be playing the dragon and I will be playing his rider. This is semi advance so 2+ paragraph and come ready for plotting and world building. I also prefer if you are able to side characters along with me.
In the roleplay, there are two worlds. The human realm and the draconic realm that is connected by the Veil. The Veil is the source of magic in both worlds, its what helps the seasons change and the dragons hatching grounds are dependent on the Veil for their eggs to hatch.
Most humans are unaware of the Veil and of dragons except those who are tasked with protecting it, Protectors of the Veils, Dragons and their human partners who are bonded spiritually and are partners for life. Dragons will only carry their rider and refuse any other passenger. Human riders are chosen at fifteen, training for five years at Veil Academy. Dragons are chosen as young adults (about sixteen to seventeen in human years when they are large enough to carry a human rider) and are assigned a rider by the Elder Protectors.
Veil Academy lays within the human world so one must how do dragons attend a boarding school with their human partners? The dragons are given human forms so they may live and train in the human world with their riders though they can only maintain their human form for a few hours at a time. It allows them to fight, work, and train in the human world alongside their human partners. Still, for the dragons, they prefer their true form and the modern human world is strange.
There are beings called Blights who wish to take down the Veil, plunging the world into unbalance and chaos. This is who the Protectors fight against, shadowy creatures that take on many different forms but have distinct red eyes no matter the form.
Y/C is a young male dragon who is eager to start his first year at Veil Academy. I’ll let you decide his backstory and such. He is eager for he and whoever he is partnered with to be top of their class.
My character is a young thirteen year old girl, a prodigy in math, science, and trouble making. A foster child about to be kicked out of her third school when she is suddenly whisked away to Veil Academy despite being two years younger than the freshman class.
When the two are bonded, they have to learn to get along if they want to help the fight to protect both their worlds.
