So, most dragons will hatch when they are in the presence of their rider but sometimes, things can get a little mixed up in the process. A dragon can hatch without its rider, forcing them to wait around until their rider is born. Once that happens, they’ll sense it and find their rider.
Y/C has been waiting for a hundred years, wondering the earth to find his rider. In that time, humans grew fearful of the riders and killed them until only Y/C remained as the last dragon. He thought he would never find his rider until he finds a baby girl abandoned in the woods.
11 years later, both dragon and rider are struggling in a world that is dangerous for both. Y/C has developed his shape shifting abilities so he can shift into a human form for a couple of hours. M/C struggles with controlling her powers as a dragon rider.
