Welcome to the story of Dragon Ball: Limitless!
The story of Dragon Ball: Limitless revolves around the lives of our characters, who are Saiyans. However, the Saiyan Race is the only aspect of the original Dragon Ball lore which is held over from the original works by Akira Toriyama.
This RP uses absolutely zero original lore outside of the Saiyan race. No Namekians. No Dragon Balls. No earthlings or planet Earth. No Frieza. No Cell. No Androids. No Beerus. No Whis. No original characters like Goku or Vegeta.
… Nothing!
This RP is entirely new and uses new lore and rules of the universe to create a unique experience which is familiar enough to keep you feeling the Dragon Ball vibe, but new enough to give you something you’ve never encountered before in an RP of this nature!
So let’s jump straight into it shall we?!
The first leg of our adventure will see a supreme enemy (like Frieza) known as Overlord Inecros. However, unlike Frieza, he has no transformations nor is he like Frieza in nature or temperament. He’s very gentlemanly in his mannerisms, so much so that it’s almost like watching and listening to a wealthy gentleman talk and joke with his other rich colleagues… Sickening.
Anyway, I digress.
Overlord Inecros is our first main foe, and a worthy one he is as he’s stronger than Frieza was during the original DBZ lore with a max power level of 145 million when at full power. Quite the enemy, given that Super Saiyan Goku’s power was 150 million, only 5 million more and at such great levels that’s not much of a difference. Goku may well have lost to Inecros as Inecros is very good at controlling his Ki so as not to wear himself out and fights at all times with a level head versus the hot headed Frieza. He also does not dare to underestimate his opponents unless he knows for sure they’re far too weak to be a threat. Otherwise, he’s a cautious individual and not one to trifle with.
The story arc of Inecros will be quite extensive, as we have to go from power levels in the triple digits to power levels in the sextuple digits in order to unlock the Super Saiyan power (more on this in the Mechanics page!)
So now that you have a general idea of how we are going about this adventure, here’s the character creation rules and code box for the character skeleton!
Rules of Character Creation!!
1) You must inform me if you intend to join the RP by either tagging me in a message in the Out Of Character thread, or sending me a private conversation message.
2) Copy and paste the information in the code box below into the "Character Sign-Up" page and fill it all out.
3) Tell me when your profile is complete and ready for inspection, as I will not go out of my way to check them and guess when you're ready. Once I inspect the profile and give you my approval, you will be free to post to the IC thread. Until you hear the words "You're good to go" from me, you may not post to the IC thread.
4) Minimum age for characters is 21, and there is a reason for this.
5) No using original DBZ character images, names, or techniques. If you find artwork or altered artwork of a known character from a popular manga/anime and want to use that, then I'm good. But if your character image is of a known DBZ character, even if it's altered, I won't accept it.
6) DBZ lore is NOT canon to this RP, so no referencing DBZ characters or events IC. This means your character cannot be a Namekian, an Android, a bio-engineered life form like Cell or Bio-Broly, no being from the future like Trunks, no being a Majin created by or modified from your original state by Bibidi/Babidi or anything like that.
Your character is a Saiyan, plain and simple.
7) This RP forces our characters to learn how to sense the energy of other beings and hide their true potential from a Scouter over time. When the RP begins, nobody's character will know how to sense energy levels or hide their power from a Scouter.
8) Personal Techniques are almost no holds barred, save for a few things:
* Attacks like the Destructo Disk which "cut through anything" are not allowed
* Techniques like Goku's Instant Transmission which lets him travel at the speed of light are not allowed
* Techniques similar to telepathy or other psychic abilities such as mind reading are not allowed
