The Tale of Rivain is set within 9:29 of the Dragons age. Following the tale of a group of joined heroes who have set out for Rivain from the anderfels upon receiving orders from the first warden that they would be looking into darkspawn sightings in Rivain. The group ranged from various nations from which they hailed and where they roamed as wardens, some even may have ties to Rivain thus why they were chosen besides other deciding factors.
In 9:29 of the dragons age the sightings of darkspawn were not too common, leading to the belief that a threat of a darkspawn horde upon the surface was equal to the odds of another blight in certain circles. They were not the most organized species outside of blights, but something has drawn a fair number to the surface as of recent weeks in the nation of Rivain. They've attacked small bands of travelers, small villages on the outskirts of towns and cities, they've rivaled some of the lesser militant strength towns.
Nobles of these towns have called for aid while word was sent to the wardens. Since the first warden has sent word to grey wardens of all nations, calling for each to send some of their best available while others were called by name. Each would leave at once for the anderfells where they'd meet with the first warden themself to receive word on the matter and what must be done.
The selected group of wardens would then make for Rivain at once, reach the capital or the sight of their choosing where darkspawn had been seen or last spotted, perhaps even the first of the attacks. Point being they'd make haste and see this new mission done as a great question remains to be answered.... What has brought so many to the surface? What is forming in the deep roads? If anything.....
While they head for Rivain another group was sent into the deep roads to investigate further as the main team was sent above to Rivain. Only time will tell what they will uncover and who may or may not make it back alive.
The Rivain bound wardens of the grey shall be led by recently promoted to warden constable of Orlais, Salvestro De Calis, a elven blooded man from Rivain who has spent years serving as a warden scout / senior warden of Orlais... more specifically stationed mainly near and within jader. The man has been called Sal, Salvestro, many names and combinations but often his nickname often used like a moniker was Wolfgang.
