Old friends, New Friends, and Fellow Writing Enthusiasts — I’ve come here in search of those who are also obsessed with Dragon Age and are on the hunt for a story that keeps you wide awake at night thinking about what we can throw at our characters next! The newest release, Veilguard, has my brain running a thousand different directions for characters and mini-plots as well. I couldn’t help it and finally caved to make this search in hopes of finding someone who is in the mood to get lost in Thedas with me for a while.

That said, at the end of this, there will be some general fantasy ideas that I’m also in the mood to write in case Dragon Age isn’t your cup of tea and you still want to write something fantastical!

Thanks for checking out this search!

Rules & Important Information About Me
♦ I’m in my twenties and I’d prefer a partner who is at least eighteen years old to write with. Now, I promise this isn’t a dig at minors at all! I used to write on sites like this and I always encourage young writers to write; however, I’d feel better writing with someone who is in a similar stage of life as me. Plus, if romance is to be involved between characters I’d like it better for that as well!
♦ I write 500+ words per post at a minimum with some of my replies reaching over 1000+ should the mood strike me. I don’t require a certain word count because I believe in quality over quantity after all, but I’d like at least a few paragraphs for me to be able to build a reply from.
♦ My time zone is EST — I write in the evenings more often than not so you can expect replies after five in the afternoon most days. That said, if I’m off work or have some free time I can sometimes get morning posts out! I try to get a reply out everyday or every other day now. If for some reason I can’t or I haven’t replied within a few days feel free to shoot me a message! I don’t mind being poked. And the same goes for my partners, I don’t rush posts but I might send a little OOC chatter to make sure you’re ok!
♦ Ghosting… It happens to all of us and I’ve done it before by accident, so, I understand. I’m always up for trying to write again!
♦ OOC is my favorite part of the process! I want to make friends and gush about our characters. Do you like playlists and mood boards? I got’em! Can’t sleep and want to talk about your character’s motivations or background? I’m here! Or if you just want to chat about your day, I’d love to hear it.
♦ If you read all of this — I ask that you include what your favorite trope is in writing / reading! And maybe some fun fact you like to share, if you’re up for it.
♦ For pairings I often prefer writing masculine identifying characters and my favorite pairing will always be MxM. However, I do have some feminine characters who I've been interested in writing as well and some non-binary. That said I'm interested in writing MxM, MxF, FxF, and any non-binary pairings too! Trans characters welcome too!

Now onto the fun part!

Mini Plots Below!
These are rough plots on some ideas I had and can be changed to suit our needs however we need. I'd love to hear any ideas for plots you've been wanting to write as well! Throw ideas at me and I'll be more than happy to see what we can come up with together!

Shadow Dragon Business: Character A is a Shadow Dragon Agent who swore to protect the streets of Docktown from slavers, blood magic obsessed magisters, and other criminals who wish to see the people of Minrathous suffer under their boots. Character B is a young Altus who is about to be introduced to the magisterium and receive a seat upon it. Their father decides to set a ball to celebrate Character B’s accomplishments… But little does Character B know that this ball will also be the set of a massive blood sacrifice to prove that Character B has what it takes to take power and seize their place. During this ball, Character A is sent in to get out as many of the sacrifices as they can per their orders from the Dragons; however, things don’t go to plan when they run into Character B literally. With Character A on a time crunch to get the sacrifices out before it’s too late, can they convince Character B to help them or does Character A have no choice but to sneak away and do it on their own? What happens when the two run into each other on the streets later?
The Greatest Hoard of a Lifetime: The Lords of Fortune are known for their bravery and skill, so, it isn’t a surprise when a crew of shipwrecked Rivaini come to them for aid. A massive dragon attacked their ship and torched it beyond repair, causing the surviving crew to ship to shore. Those that weren’t picked off by the deepstalkers that live in the caves near the water barely made it to the Lords’ doorstep alive. All they know is what direction the dragon headed and plead with the Lords to find it and kill it. Whatever gold or jewels reside in its cave is theirs for the claiming—and the gratitude of the crew once they’re back on their feet. Character A is a member of the Lords who agrees to hunt the beast and Character B is one of the surviving members of the crew who tags along to get some personal revenge on the dragon.
Crows Like Shiny Things: Character A is a member of house de Riva, currently residing in the The Cantori Diamond in Treviso. With the Antaam occupation being rubbed in their faces, it isn’t surprising that some Crows want to fight back despite orders being told to do the exact opposite to keep them from coming down harder on the organization. Character A has lost someone to the Antaam and is eager for revenge—and has made it their personal goal to hunt down the group of Antaam that killed them. Late night stakeouts have led them to those guilty… But what they find is not what they expected. Character B is there, a Qunari for sure but not an Antaam. A member of the craftsman class who was brought along against their will and forced to repair / upkeep the Antaam’s weapons and gear. Character B wants out—of the Qun or away from the Antamm, it doesn’t matter. With a little skill… Character A convinces Character B to help them take out the Antaam in that camp with the promise to get them on their feet afterwards. Poison, blades, arrows, or magic? Doesn’t matter. Revenge comes in many forms.
Veil-Jumper Problems: It is far from safe to study the relics of the ancient elves but someone has to do it! Character A is a member of the Veil-Jumpers who is tasked with finding, calming, and retrieving an artifact deep within the forest. During their search they do find the artifact! Or so they thought. This was a different artifact… One that was guarded well. Dead Venatori surround it, it’s magic pulsating and strong. However, one of the Venatori is alive. But not. Because the glow of their eyes is unnatural. No… There’s a spirit living within them, or a demon, depending on Character A’s beliefs. Character B watches Character A calm the relic and decides to follow them. What happens when Character A returns back with a demon possessed Venatori who's following them like a lost dog?
In Need of a Professional: While not all Mourn Watchers have the gift to speak with the dead, there are a few who can and those that do are valued highly for their skill. Character A is in need of help solving a murder and the all roads they’ve taken to find the killer have led them to deadends, they take the chance of finding one of these gifted mages in hopes that they can help. Character B is one of these mages, and a bit of a recluse, who doesn’t like the idea of leaving Nevarra. With the bodies stacking up back home, Character A is desperate and offers a favor to Character B. Whatever Character A can do for Character B will be done if Character B follows them back to speak with several of the deceased. Detective adventures await!
In War, Victory: After the events in Inquisition, the South has become not the most welcoming place to Grey Wardens even if pardoned. Thankfully, those to the North haven’t been so unforgiving. Character A is a warden who is on a patrol with several others after reports of darkspawn surfacing have reached the warden’s ears. Under the belief that darkspawn flooding to the surface is a sign of a blight, they’ve taken it seriously and search for the source. They come across a small village, a few homes built together at best, that has been overrun with the blight. Once the darkspawn are dispatched… One survivor is found. Character B is infected with the blight and has little to no choice but to attempt the joining to survive or be put out of their misery. So, in a makeshift joining, Character B is welcomed into the order after surviving it. But it’s not an easy transition.
For Fortune & Glory: Those looking to make a name for themselves end up in the Hall of Valor. Battle after battle the contestants make a name for themselves over time. When the reigning victor, Character A who is a member of the Lords of Fortune, is challenged by an up-and-coming crowd favorite Grey Warden who is Character B, the crowd goes wild. The fight is hard won and both parties at the end are exhausted. But there was a spark of something between them!
The Magister’s Secret: Character A has a seat on the Magisterium; a known face amongst their fellow magisters and a reputation of strength that earned them peace, but one that the Venatori have not yet been able to bring into their ranks. Little do their fellow magisters know that Character A actively works against them as a member of the Shadow Dragons. Their identity is hidden for the most part, behind a mask and glamour. But during one mission they were caught off guard and injured. With little to no choice, Character A ends up hiding in an old warehouse as they attempt to heal their wounds. Character B stumbles across them — whether they decide to help or reveal the truth of who they are when the mask comes off… That’s up to Character B.
Within the Dark: There have been few cases where Darkspawn were able to break free and regain their will power as well as the ability to speak. Character A is one of these darkspawn. Separated from the main horde and able to think for themself, although this is as much of a curse as the blight itself. They’re alone. Or they were until they came across a Grey Warden in trouble. Character B, the warden, is surrounded by Character A’s mindless brethren. Character A involves themself, whether it was for better or ill. As the last body falls, Character A finds themselves at the end of Character B’s weapon. Can a mutual understanding come between them? Would Character B help Character A undergo the joining to lessen the spread of their own blight? Or would the blight corrupt them further?

Main Story Plots
♦ Based on the main storyline in Inquisition, Origins, or Veilguard. I’d love to write a ‘what if’ and ‘rewritten’ version of them with our characters. Be it as both mains: two inquisitors/wardens/rooks or with one of our characters being the inquisitor/warden/rook and the other being a companion. I wouldn’t mind either role! I have several plot ideas for this but they’re a little more fluid in what can be done so if you’re interested shoot over a message and I’ll explain in detail!

When doing one of these, we can divide up the canon characters between each other for romance and writing in general!

Mini Concepts & Character Ideas
♦ Shadow Dragons partners running the streets together; running head first into danger and getting banged up in the process. Bonding over missions going well or horribly. Just some comrades in arms.
♦ A Veil-Jumper and A Grey Warden bonding while helping to raise Assan’s brothers and sisters once they’ve been rescued.
♦ Minrathous templar who makes the mistake of falling for the wrong magister’s son / daughter and finds themself almost killed for it.
♦ A Lich who wears a glamour of their old face, leaving the necropolis to see Thedas after years of seclusion there.
♦ Rival Crows who may or may not be in a situationship, or at least crushing so hard on each other with their over the top ‘play’ flirting that everyone else is sick of it at this point.
♦ Another dwarf who ends up connected to the Titans like Valta, though doesn’t have the powers that Harding does. Can sense and hear the stone.

For Non-Dragon Age Fantasy Pairings
♦ Templar x Mage
♦ Royal x Royal (Arranged Marriage)
♦ Royal Advisor x Royal
♦ Monster Hunter x Monster
♦ Dragon x Human
♦ Vampire x Mortal
♦ Immortal God x Mortal Who Accidentally Freed Them
♦ Pirate x Captive Royal
♦ Sword for Hire x Their Target
♦ Assassin x Royal
♦ Assassin x Rival Assassin
